Don’t Panic, It May Just Be A Divine Intervention!
From the beginning of my spiritual career, my guides taught me that we are given three things in life: opportunity, choice, and free will. Simply put, when we choose from the options that are presented to us, we exercise our right to free will and largely determine our own future.
While this is quite an empowering thought for most of us, there are times in our lives when Spirit feels that we are very much on the wrong track and will actually change our circumstances for us. While this does not happen very often, I will use my own situation as an example of why they do sometimes interfere with our free will.
Back in 1984, when I was 24 years old, all I wanted to be was a stenotypist. I was so determined to get what was then considered a very prestigious job that I went to college, worked hard, passed my exams, was proactive, and finally got a job with the local government.
I could not believe my luck, as the salary was about £5,000 per year, which is about $6,300 – certainly not bad almost 32 years ago! I thought I had struck gold, but things got even better when I started dating the man who worked in the office next door. Life could not be better (or so I thought) as I had the man, the career, the money – everything! Unfortunately, disaster soon struck.
My boyfriend left me, the girls in the office made fun of me, my boss and his secretary bullied me, and finally I lost my job. Suddenly I found myself in the middle of a recession, with no relationship, no job, no money, no prospects, and I couldn’t even get a reference!
Why, oh why, did this happen to me? I didn’t deserve this! I had worked so hard. I am a good person. I always strive to be a decent friend and colleague. Yet, I was being treated so unfairly.
Protect Yourself From Psychic Scams
Over the past two decades of doing psychic readings, I have heard of many scams and frauds in my field.
It always saddens me when I hear about it, especially when I see firsthand the pain and devastation it causes the victims when some of them come to me for help. I have had to do a lot of clean up and damage control with clients who have unknowingly fallen victim to these types of scams.
Psychic scammers also make my work so much harder and ruin the reputation of authentic psychics everywhere. Psychic-related fraud leaves a bad taste in people’s mouths and makes the public doubt those of us who are genuine and well-intentioned.
To add insult to injury the criminal activity of these so-called “psychics” is something the media loves to report because of its sensational nature. Rarely do you see news reports of legitimate psychics helping to change, heal and even save lives.
With the rise of the internet, smart phones, social media and more recently artificial intelligence (AI), it has become much easier for scammers to defraud their victims in many new ways. Sometimes I feel that there are more fraudsters these days than at any time in my career. Or maybe they are just more visible now?
A Foundation Of Well-Being For The Psychic Medium
I recently enrolled in a year-long mediumship development course. One of the introductory topics we have been exploring in the course material is the importance of self-awareness and recognizing what affects your personal and spiritual well-being.
This is crucial in psychic and mediumship work, as various factors can affect one’s overall well-being and ability to perform optimally during a reading. As a psychic medium, you have an obligation to provide the best possible guidance to your clients by taking good care of yourself.
And even if you follow various self-care practices and know what you need to do to maintain your well-being, there will be days when you simply do not feel your best. Therefore, it is also important to be self-aware and able to recognize when you are out of alignment with the source of your being or feeling “out of sorts.”
The mediumship course explores several interesting topics and aspects of self-awareness beyond what is generally experienced on a daily basis. For example, negative energy in your environment, tension and conflict in relationships, and worries about people, pets, or finances. It is also important to recognize that we are all unique and that what may significantly affect one individual may not have the same effect on another.
True Friends Encourage Each Other’s Gifts
I have aways had an extraordinary spiritual connection with a particular friend. Many of our shared experiences over the years illustrate the strength and importance of this connection. We are always on a bit of a “mystical high” when we spend time together!
I knew she was psychic from the first time we met, but she is seldom very eager to talk about it. I suspect she feels a little insecure about it or even afraid of her own power.
Then I had a dream. The angels showed me in this dream that it was time for my friend to embrace her psychic abilities, and that it had now become my responsibility to ensure that she was prepared for this journey of psychic awakening and self-discovery.
A memorable trip to New York City during the recent holiday season provided the ideal opportunity to inspire her and build her confidence.
She lives in the New York area while I live in Arizona, so we do not see each other very often. Over the holidays, I took a short vacation to visit her. Our plans included a trip to the city to see a play, which was great, but not the most magical part of the trip.
The day we arrived in the city, we went to this holiday fair near our hotel to kill time, before going to dinner and the play. As soon as we got out of the cab, the magic started. Amazing things happened everywhere we went. Her birthday was coming up and I wanted to get her something special. I ended up buying her the perfect pearl ring, which she loves.
The Truth About Being “Too Busy”
It is good to be busy. But some people are always too busy. Too busy to do the things that really matter. Too busy to go where we really want to go. Too busy to make a difference. Too busy to love. Too busy.
I admit that I am one of those people who, when asked how I am doing, often gives the standard one-word answer: “Busy.” Some people who like their jobs and choose to work a lot are called workaholics. I have been called a workaholic by friends and family. My response is always that I am grateful to still be able to do what I love.
Yes, some of us like to be busy. We like to be doing something all the time. For me, being busy gives me a sense of self-worth and security. When a task is completed, it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Being busy is also a way to thrive. Some people do their best work when they are very busy and under pressure. We are indeed blessed when we have a job that we truly love to do. But that does not mean we never need a day off without feeling guilty?
The pandemic has been a challenge for us busy people. How do you stay busy when you cannot leave the house? One thing it did for me was give me “permission” to take an online art class without feeling guilty. Also, friends and family have given me more puzzles than one could ever have in a lifetime. In the past, I would have felt guilty about doing these things for pleasure instead of work.
