You Are A Human Being, Not A Human Doing!
We are living in a fast-paced world where we feel we must do many things every day, hardly having much time to just be. To just stop. To think. To just be.
Instead of embracing the fact that we are a human beings, we are in this day and age more focused on being humans doing.
We get caught in up in the web of life, with its chaos and drama. And we get frustrated and feel so rushed. There is no time to truly do the things we want to do; to spend time doing the things that matter the most.
Today, take a moment to just sit for a few minutes and simply do nothing.
Meditate. Just think about nothing and if thoughts come in, ask yourself: is this thought helping me to get in alignment with my true self? Am I in touch with the higher self that allows happiness to be a part of my space and life?
If the thoughts that are coming in are not happy or healthy, or not helping you to be spiritually aware and give you that feeling of being fulfilled, then you just allow them to go in and out. Just let it be.
No need to over think, or evaluate, or spend energy on it. Just let it go. If a thought comes in and it’s a stressor for you, note it and remember to maybe get rid of that thought or person from your life.
Change Your Habits, Change Your Life!
As 2025 comes to an end and the New Year is upon is, many of us are considering how we can improve our lives and become a better version of ourselves.
Today we might be sitting with our shiny new diary or journal, or a beautiful 2026 calendar full of inspiring affirmations, in the hope it will inspire us to lead healthier, happier, more fulfilling and successful life. But the single biggest thing that we can do to change our lives for the better and really smash our goals is to change our habits.
What we habitually do is who we will ultimately become. Our daily physical habits are our metaphysical destiny. In fact, research would suggest that approximately 95% of the things people do daily are purely habitual.
From the spiritual perspective, I always look to archetype of The Archer in the Wildwood Tarot deck as the positive symbology to help me break bad habits and create new, better ones.
The Archer is a genuinely motivating card that symbolizes strength, direction, aim and focus. When it comes to habits, it reminds us to focus on the positive ones and that by doing so, we will achieve our goals by hitting our target. Gaze upon his symbology, and it should help give you the strength to do so.
For example, I am a chocoholic, the results of which is clearly evident around my middle-aged waistline! How do I personally break the habit of a lifetime and develop a healthier relationship with chocolate? Well, the guidelines are the same for any other goal we may have:
A Beginner’s Guide To Forest Bathing
The spiritual healing practice of forest bathing, also known as tree bathing or Shinrin-yoku, is more than just a casual walk in the woods. It’s a conscious, mindful immersion into the living energy of the natural world.
In a time of constant motion and information, nature offers a different kind of wisdom. When you enter the woods with humility and presence, the trees respond. They speak in stillness, they heal without fanfare, and they remind us of the sacredness that lives in all things.
Originating in Japan in the 1980s, Shinrin-yoku was developed as a form of eco-therapy to combat stress, burnout, and disconnection from the land. But long before it became a modern wellness trend, it was an everyday way of life our ancestors took for granted.
At its essence, forest bathing invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature as a living, healing presence.
It isn’t about hiking or exercise. There is no goal to achieve. You don’t have to meditate, journal, pray, do or achieve anything at all. Simply being with the trees and plants is enough.
When we stop and listen, we realize the forest has its own language, and it welcomes us into an ancient dialogue of peace and renewal. Trees are masterful purifiers. They filter the air of toxins and breathe out oxygen rich with life force.
When we stand near trees, they seem to do the same with our energy. They absorb some of our anxiety, tension, and fear, and offer us steadiness, grounding, and quiet wisdom in return.
Tarot Forecast December 2025: Queen Of Swords
As we near the end of the year, the Queen of Swords comes up as our guiding archetype for this final month of 2025. Her energy is one of discernment, honesty, and mental clarity. She is a powerful presence that calls us to rise above emotional noise and align with truth.
Where other cards might emphasize emotional depth or spiritual surrender, the Queen of Swords reminds us of the sacred wisdom of logic, perception, and clear boundaries. She is the elder counsel of the Tarot court, known for her keen intellect and ability to cut through illusion with precision and grace.
This month, her influence brings an invitation to end the year with conscious reflection and empowered decision-making. December’s energy is not about rushing into resolutions or emotional reactions, but about taking a pause to consider where we’ve been, what we value, and where we wish to go.
The Queen of Swords challenges us to lead with truth, not just in our communication with others, but in the narratives we hold within ourselves. She speaks to the power of thoughtful boundaries, the necessity of honest dialogue, and the liberation that comes when we finally let go of what no longer serves our growth.
Under her watchful eye, we may find ourselves more reflective, more intentional, and more willing to let clarity guide us. Whether it’s setting boundaries, speaking our truth, making a strategic decision, or decluttering our mental and emotional landscape, this month asks us to do so with integrity and intelligence. The Queen of Swords helps us end the year not in chaos, but in clarity. Continue reading
Spiritual Awakening ‘Turns On The Light’
What exactly is a spiritual awakening, and is there a way you can tell if you are having one? Here are some ways to be aware of what is happening to you.
The first sign is usually when you are no longer living in a ‘dream world,’ where you used to see everything through your human ego and you were overly focused on the future and your past.
This is a clear sign that you are becoming more spiritually aware. You have a greater awareness of your individual self and the connection between that and everything else. Things start to come into better focus in your life and make more sense.
When you closely examine various religions and faith traditions, there is usually a common thread that describes this state of heightened awareness as nirvana, enlightenment, or awakening.
This new consciousness happens when you stop being the observer, and instead ask yourself, who is observing?
Many people go through life on ‘autopilot,’ because that is what they were taught, or they simply fell into a routine without giving much thought to who they really are, or what they truly need or desire to make their life meaningful.
Asking such questions about yourself is important for your personal growth and self-realization. It is ‘turning the light on’ so to speak. The first step in growth is always the awareness of the present moment followed by an impulse to change something. Continue reading
Protect Yourself From Toxic Noise And Psychic Junk
How often do you consider the health of your auric space or personal energy field, which is constantly being bombarded with so much negative energy these days. Are you doing enough to protect yourself?
First and foremost, you need to have healthy boundaries. Each of us needs and deserves to have a safe place, a sense of self-worth, and protection from others. Think about what happens to a beach that is battered constantly by waves. It will wear down and eventually disappear. If you don’t have boundaries, your very identity will be like those grains of sand.
Learning to connect back to the Earth and nature is essential to our well-being. This can be as simple as walking without shoes in a natural space, or by keeping plants in your living space. When we are separate from our natural selves, we lose perhaps the most important part of our soul.
By walking in nature, you are literally reconnecting. Like a lightning bolt discharging energy when it strikes solid ground, you are releasing all the negative energies that accumulate in your body. Take a friend, or walk your dog if you have one.
If these energies, and their associated negative effects, are like frantic little animals in the cage of our bodies, we need to find ways to calm them. Centering rituals using meditation, candles, crystals, or whatever individual tradition you may follow, need to be part of your day, just like meals and baths.
Tarot Forecast November 2025: Ten Of Swords
The card that came in for this month is the Ten of Swords, a card that can look harsh at first, but carries a powerful message of closure, truth, and rebirth. This isn’t about endings for their own sake; it’s about release. Something has run its course, and it’s time to stop holding on.
The Ten of Swords invites us to be honest with ourselves, to stop pretending that what’s broken can still be fixed the old way.
This month’s theme is surrendering what’s no longer serving us. The Ten of Swords clears the clutter, both inner and outer. It shines a light on what’s been draining us, and while it can feel uncomfortable at first, it also brings freedom.
There’s a certain peace that comes with finally letting go. What’s ending now makes room for healing, insight, and new beginnings.
November’s energy is quiet but meaningful. It’s not dramatic or loud, it’s the deep exhale after a long effort. It asks us to slow down, listen, and trust that the cycle closing now is paving the way for something better.
The Ten of Swords doesn’t sugarcoat reality, but it always carries the promise of dawn. Its message is simple: you’ve come through the hardest part, and even if you can’t see it yet, light is returning.
By the end of this month, you may feel a sense of emotional relief or clarity that wasn’t there before. The Ten of Swords helps us clear old patterns, step away from what’s over, and prepare for the next chapter. It’s not the end, it’s the turning point between endings and renewal.
