The Powerful Properties Of Lavender And Sea Salt
If you’re looking for natural, organic ingredients to purify, cleanse and detoxify yourself and your space, there’s no better choice than lavender and sea salt.
These two ingredients are relatively inexpensive and easily found. You can even make potpourri or enjoy a relaxing bath with homemade salts without breaking the bank.
Depending on your preference, and its intended use, you may wish to obtain your lavender in crushed or essential oil form. Either can be found at an esoteric or herbal shop.
In crushed (flower) form, lavender is well-known for its aromatic quality and can be mixed with another floral scent if preferred. Lavender is also famous for its autoimmune properties and ability to stimulate mental clarity, including psychic ability.
If you like the scent of lavender, as so many do, consider buying it for multiple locations: your bath; a sachet for your pillow to assist in dreamwork; and a vial of essential oil for the nightstand.
Lavender is a cleansing herb; its name comes from the French word meaning “to clean”.
We all look for quick fixes in life to detoxify and relax, and there’s no better way than this herb which has been used for centuries. For those who practice psychic work, it is a must-have. Just be sure to test yourself for allergies first!
Staying Spiritually Nourished In A Digital World
If you’re feeling stuck in cycles of anger, sadness, anxiety, or fatigue, take a moment to ask yourself: what am I consuming?
This question goes far beyond food. Are you consuming negativity online? Are you surrounding yourself with people who drain rather than uplift? Are you spending more time in front of a screen than under the sky?
Everything you consume and engage with in this world either feeds your inner light or diminishes it. Everything you watch, listen to, interact with, and invite into your life.
This truth is simple yet profound. We may not always realize it, but the choices we make each day either nourish our spirit or cloud it.
In today’s world, it’s easy to become entangled in habits, distractions, and energies that gradually drain our vitality. The barrage of social media updates, the constant hum of technology, processed foods, fear-driven news cycles, anger, jealousy, dishonesty, and gossip. All of these things can chip away at the divine light within us, if we let it.
On the other hand, there are sacred and intentional choices that can uplift and energize us. Fresh fruits and vegetables grown with love from the Earth. Gentle sunlight warming your skin. Time in nature, listening to the rhythm of the trees and the whispers of the wind.
Loving and conscious relationships. Forgiveness. Kindness. Generosity. Dance, art, singing, and the tender beauty of genuine joy. These are not luxuries. They are lifelines to your highest self. They feed your light. Continue reading
Are You Experiencing A Spiritual Awakening?
As a psychic reader, I sometimes have clients who quietly confess that they are afraid they might be “going crazy.”
In truth, they are usyally just experiencing the early signs of a spiritual awakening. These profound shifts in your awareness and energy can feel disorienting, yet are deeply meaningful.
So, how can you tell if what you’re feeling is part of a spiritual transformation rather than a personal unraveling?
The term ‘spiritual awakening’ is somewhat overused these days in metaphysical circles. Just about anyone who has a ‘woo-woo’ moment, or gains deeper insight into a situation, or suddenly sees chakra colors, seems to believe they are having a true, full-blown ‘spiritual awakening.’
Spiritual awakening does tend to occur spontaneously, and from what I’ve witnessed, the more open-minded the person is and the less attached to outcomes they are, the more available or ‘ripe’ they are for a spiritual awakening to occur.
Just the other day a client was telling me of her experience while peeling a carrot over the kitchen sink. She said she was looking down at her hands, watching them, and wondering what was animating them?
It can be a strange moment when you discover that you are not really who you thought you were. It can be disorienting, to say the least, to see yourself from such an objective position. However, if you know ahead of time that this is perfectly normal, and others have experienced these signs too, it can make your life a lot easier.
The Empath’s Sacred Gift Of Compassion
Being an empath is more than just having a high sensitivity to the suffering of others. It is also the sacred gift of compassion. Empaths do not only perceive other people’s pain, but we also want to soothe, heal, and uplift them. These twin gifts of discernment and compassionate action are inseparable.
I have yet to meet an empath who doesn’t feel the calling to alleviate suffering in some way. In a world that so often feels cruel and chaotic, our tender hearts are now needed more than ever.
Compassion, both inward and outward, is a powerful force. It can transform relationships, heal roots of insecurity, and reshape the texture of our inner lives.
In leadership settings, compassionate responses consistently foster trust, deep connection, and lasting loyalty. Harsh reactions, on the other hand, often erect walls and breed resistance.
When someone feels seen, supported, and deeply cared for, their loyalty and dedication follow naturally. This principle applies not only in professional spheres but in every relationship we nurture.
I’ve come to see self-compassion as just as vital as the compassion we extend to others.
Empaths especially can be our own harshest critics. We measure ourselves against external standards and comparisons, often coming up short in our inner dialogue. But offering ourselves a warm, non-judgmental embrace opens new doors: to deeper confidence, heightened clarity, and a grounded sense of worth that doesn’t depend on outperforming someone else.
Be Your Own Light In Times Of Darkness
We’ve been facing dark days and challenging times across the world in recent years, no matter where we live. But the future is much brighter than it may seem, and that light of hope begins with you.
With social media and constant news feed updates, mostly centered around negativity, disaster, conflict, or tragedy, many of us feel overwhelmed these days. These are especially not easy times for the spiritually conscious person and the highly sensitive.
Our generation is being bombarded with a stream of distressing information and content, much of which includes falsehoods and fearmongering. Children today are exposed to more in grade school than some of us were after we graduated and entered the workforce. That’s not always a good thing, but it also means they’re growing up faster, and with the right guidance, they can grow up wiser.
When people talk about “the good old days,” they’re usually thinking about how much simpler life seemed in the past. I remember my grandparents saying such things long before there was the internet, smartphones, or AI. So, I guess every generation has its own reasons for nostalgia, and this sentiment is nothing new in the digital age.
That said, some of us today still grew up without television or even radio, and lived through the full evolution of the current digital age. Many elders still feel disconnected from how rapidly things have changed. But there’s beauty in that too. Each generation carries wisdom, and now, more than ever, we need to blend that wisdom with the tools of today to create a better path forward for all of us.
Protect Your Energy From Toxic People
If you’ve ever felt emotionally drained, manipulated, or physically unwell after spending time with someone, know that you’re not alone. I do relationship readings for people stuck in toxic relationships, or dealing with energy vampires in their family or workplace, on a daily basis.
These relationships and people feed off your energy, often leaving you feeling depleted, anxious, or confused.
Why do so many people allow these people into their lives? Often, they simply have no choice. These toxic people may be family members, coworkers, in-laws, friends we’ve known for years, other relatives, or even life partners.
As a deeply empathic person myself, I understand the profound sensitivity that comes with feeling the energies around you.
Being surrounded by energy thieves can feel like standing in front of an emotional vacuum or caught inside a whirlwind of chaos. If you don’t prepare yourself energetically and spiritually before engaging with these types of individuals, your emotional and physical well-being will suffer.
It’s exhausting trying to maintain your peace in the presence of drama, manipulation, or constant criticism. Take for example family gatherings or in-law visits.
These moments can trigger a cascade of emotions due to clashing personalities, judgment, gossip, and unresolved history. It often feels like nothing you do is ever right, and it becomes a true test of inner strength.
Moving Forward After A Breakup Or Divorce
Going through a divorce, or the end of a long relationship, can feel like your world has come crashing down. The dreams you shared, the life you pictured together, and all the emotional energy you invested can suddenly seem lost.
It’s not just about losing a person; it’s also about letting go of a future you once hoped for. It can be difficult to know how to move forward.
However, even in the midst of any ending, there’s an opportunity for a fresh and meaningful new beginning.
Accepting that your relationship has ended is one of the most important steps in the healing process. It’s normal to grieve what could have been, but don’t dwell on the past. The past is a place to learn from, not a place to stay.
True acceptance means letting go of blame, resentment, and regret. This isn’t because the hurt didn’t happen, but because holding on keeps that hurt alive.
Acceptance can be difficult. It means accepting that your life will look different than you expected, and trusting that there’s still joy and beauty ahead. Many spiritual traditions remind us that everything happens for a reason, even if we don’t understand it right away. When we reach acceptance, our heart chakra can open again, releasing stuck emotions and making room for healing. Continue reading
