Why Curiosity Is Essential For Spiritual Growth
These days, it is customary to access information instantly using various modern technologies. All kinds of knowledge are at our fingertips whenever we need it.
While some research is required for school or work projects, and other inquiries are made to simply satisfy a general “need to know,” Spirit challenges us to view our world differently and conduct a different kind of search.
Take time to be still every now and then. Extend your curiosity internally. Go within and take time to reflect on your past decisions, your current situation, and your potential future.
The past is a wonderful place to visit to reminisce about great experiences, evaluate decisions, and learn from events.
Note: This must only be temporary. It does not mean that you should constantly “live” in the past or obsess over what might have been, because there is no present or future in the past. There are only lessons and insight to be found there.
When considering some of the questionable choices you may have made in the past, be kind to yourself as you ponder the decisions you made and why you made them. Remember that your younger self did not have the benefit of the experience, wisdom, and insight that you have now.
Also, be kind to others who might have influenced you in a negative fashion or hurt you to the core, whether it seemed to be intentional or not at the time. Understand that their chosen paths may have intersected with yours for a specific reason but that you now have the ultimate control over your present actions and future dreams.
How I Learned To Trust My Psychic Premonitions
I was just 16 years old when I had my first powerful premonition.
At the time, I didn’t know what to call it. I didn’t have the right words or spiritual understanding to describe the feeling. All I knew was that something inside me, like a quiet inner voice, spoke with a certainty that was not just in my imagination. It felt like a clear knowing.
A close family member had recently become engaged to his long-time girlfriend. They were the perfect couple. They were always together, and they had a lot of potential. It seemed like their love would last forever.
Everyone in our family, including our friends, thought we would be the kind of couple who could overcome any challenge together. Their future was full of possibilities.
One afternoon, he excitedly told me she had passed the exams to join the police force. They had just bought a home together. The future looked great, and there was a lot of potential. I smiled at him, feeling happy for him.
But something didn’t feel right. A soft inner voice whispered: She will leave him for a policeman.
This simple, unexpected thought bothered me, but I pushed it away. Maybe it just me worrying about the stories I had heard about adult relationships that didn’t end well.
Three months later, she left him and started a relationship with a fellow police officer.
Love Bombing: When Romance Has Ulterior Motives
A client recently called me for a reading about a handsome, incredibly charming man she had met online. She was positively glowing as she described him. He works on an oil rig, she said, with a highly lucrative income and promising career advancement.
But what really lit her up was his love for her.
“He’s crazy about me!” she beamed.
She explained that they have long, dreamy conversations every day about the life they planned to build together. He told her she was everything he had been searching for, and promised her a future filled with abundance and romance once they finally meet in person.
In the meantime, he sends her cards and flowers, floods her inbox with love notes, and makes her feel worshipped and adored.
But the moment I started the reading, the message that came through was crystal clear: betrayal, deceit, dishonesty. Tactfully, I shared what I was seeing. I told her, with as much care as I could, that I didn’t believe this man was who he claimed to be, and that his intentions were not pure.
She paused for a moment. “What do you mean? He even asked me to keep $100,000 in my bank account for him! That proves he trusts me.”
That’s when spirit pressed me to ask the crucial question: What about the other money? She hesitated. “Oh… that…yeah. There was a $13,000 transfer fee I had to pay on my end.”
Connecting With Gaia Through The Art Of Dowsing
I’ve always loved working with dowsing rods. Over the years, I’ve used them in many different ways, such as tracking down lost car keys, finding jewelry, and locating missing household items in the most unlikely places.
Dowsing is a wonderful intuitive practice. I’ve dowsed for many things over the years, but water dowsing has always fascinated me, because it connects nature and the physical world with the spiritual and mystical.
While digital technology and scientific methods have become the preferred tools used by engineers and geologists to accurately locate groundwater, pipes, and leaks, the ancient art of water dowsing is still practiced today. This practice is often called “water witching” in some parts of the United States.
Many farmers and homeowners still hire dowsers to find well locations, especially in rural areas. In fact, some professional water companies and utility providers have been known to also use dowsing rods to help locate pipes and leaks, alongside modern technology.
For me, this way of tuning into the earth’s natural flow and sensing what lies beneath the soil is deeply grounding and primal. It feels like aligning with the consciousness of the Earth herself, to Gaia, or Mother Nature. Gaia is more than a poetic metaphor; she is a living, breathing entity whose subtle energies speak to us if we know how to listen.
When I dowse for water, I feel as though I’m entering into quiet communion with her. I am attuning to her rhythms, her hidden pathways, and her silent wisdom. It’s a sacred act of reconnection, a reminder that we are not separate from nature, but part of her great, mysterious web of existence.
The Man Who Pushed Me Off A Cliff
Since I was a child, I have had fragmented memories of my past lives. These flashbacks are all parts of those lives and lessons that pertain to my soul growth and karma in this lifetime.
So far, all of my past life memories have had to do with someone I have interacted with here, in my current incarnation. In other words, I have met all of the people in my past life memories in this lifetime also.
One such memory of a past life, is of a man I was married to in Ireland. We were quite young. I would say no more than 20. We were poor and lived in a little cottage, near a cliff overlooking the ocean. It was a modest, but breathtakingly beautiful home and land. I also remember that I had long, curly red hair.
Sadly, my husband in that lifetime was physically and emotionally abusive. He was always worried that men would desire me and take me away from him.
But I had never been with any man but him. I didn’t want to be with my husband, but I certainly didn’t want another man to control and own me either.
He kept me prisoner in our home and refused to let me leave. My solace was the church. My soul’s water and food was the sunlight, and the sounds and smell of the ocean. My fantasies consisted of building a boat and heading out into the vastness, toward the sunset, letting the ocean’s waves carry me away to wherever she wished me to be. Interestingly, in my present life, nature has always been my sanctuary.
How To Deal With Energy Vampires And Psychic Bullies
Someone or something draining your energy? Most of the time it’s someone whom you are either trying to please, or get approval from, or someone you’re trying to help. You may begin to notice that something changes in your energy field each time you are around this person, or that you feel an imbalance of some sort afterwards. When I say being around a person, this can mean exposure to them through meeting in person, texting, talking over the phone, and even energetically, or psychically.
Energy bullies and psychic vampires are very good sucking the life force right out of you. Unfortunately, you may not notice this is happening, until after the fact. However, once you realize what has happened, identifying it is the first step to proactive healing, regeneration, and protection from allowing it to happen again.
Let’s have a closer look at what is actually taking place during an energy drain. Suppose you have a friend who is always complaining about her life, or often has a negative outlook on every situation she is involved in. This could also be a family member you meet for coffee, or whom you chat with over the phone regularly. And dealing with this person leaves you always energetically drained, deflated or emotionally unsettled.
I’d like to preface this with the fact that we all have times where we need to vent, or reach out for help when we are struggling with something. On the other hand, we also have moments where we need to be the voice of reason for someone else, or have an open mind and heart to listen and truly be there for the people we love and care about. Listening is so important in relationships, but if only one person is talking and one person is listening, over and over again, it is a drain on the listener.
