Ask, And It Shall Be Given You
Although we now live in a global village, we still tend to criticize and judge others, whose culture, belief system or background may be different from us. It is simply our human nature.
I am often asked, “how can you be a psychic if you are so involved with your church and your community?” My answer always is, “don’t you pray when you go to church? Don’t you ask God to answer you desires?”
The response is usually, “of course I pray to God and ask for my petition to be granted, but this is my faith and I follow my religion”. To which I then reply, “I am talking about faith too. When someone asks me a question, I ask God to give me the insight to answer that question, and this is also my religion. The difference is that you get your answer yourself when you pray, while I get it for you, and you can do the same for others.” Read the rest of this entry »
Blessing Your Food And Drink
I always think a cup of coffee or a sandwich tastes special when someone else prepared it. Perhaps it was made with good intention?
If a meal or a beverage is prepared with love, the very intention behind the preparation has to be more beneficial to our system and to our sense of well-being. This idea has often occurred to me over the years and there was confirmation of this in various Buddhist articles I happened to stumble across.
Just like our body, mind and spirit, food is made of energy. Energy is further transmitted by touch, and good or bad energy can be transmitted by contact. Even without speaking, subtle invisible thought-forms can also pass from one person to another when one person prepares food and another eats it.
So, as your sensitivity increases with your spiritual growth, blessing your food will be especially important if you consume foodstuff or beverages prepared by strangers. If you just think about how many people are involved in negative pursuits, doing a blessing only makes sense. Low vibration foodstuffs also originate where they’ve been genetically altered, not to mention livestock reared in terrible conditions. Read the rest of this entry »
The Presence of Angels
A US poll revealed that 75% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 25 believe in the existence of angels.
There are many documented cases of angelic encounters. Jodi Leary’s young boy nearly drowned in a swimming pool. After resuscitation, he reported having seen an angel. Estal Vera was hit by an ice cream truck, only to see an angel appear by her side. Despite her serious injuries, she experienced no pain.
I was collaborating with angel intuitive and medium Michael Lott recently on a social networking page for public mediumship events. We talked about using a photograph of us together, but then realized that we don’t currently have one, so we decided to use an image of Archangel Michael. A few moments later, both looking at our own profile pages, we found that we both had postings there from different sources about Archangel Michael. Read the rest of this entry »
Making Peace With Ourselves
Inner conflicts become a part of life for all of us from a very early age. For example, we may have dreams of what we want to become, when we are young that prove to be impractical and even impossible when we get older. The conflict inside of us over this issue can become very painful.
We also may decide that the ideals our parents held dear to them do not sit well with us, as we grow older. We may end up choosing our own way in the world and creating our own belief system eventually. But this too can be a very unsettling inner conflict that we must come to terms with.
At times we feel conflicted about politics and social issues and may be torn about what ideals to agree with, or disagree with. Other conflicts can also be of a relationship nature, where we discover deep differences with our mates about important things. Read the rest of this entry »
Earth Angels
When I was very young, I remember being in our living room around Halloween time. It was very, very late in the evening and I can’t remember what compelled me to go over to the window. I remember the drapes were closed and I remember pushing it to one side and just looking out. I saw something that night I would never forget.
It looked like a very old women with white hair. She was holding something in the front yard, which looked like a glowing stone of some kind. She just stood there and it was very, very late. This seemed very strange to me. I remember feeling not scared, just very comforted and interested to at the same time. I remember her turning around, almost as if she saw me, but she just bent down and put this glowing rock or something on the grass and then began to walk away. I will never ever forget this as long as I live. Read the rest of this entry »
Loving Memories A Message From Loved Ones
I can remember so clearly, like it was yesterday, when my cousin Lori passed away. It has been 14 years to the day. I loved her like a sister. We did everything together. Her mother was my mother’s older sister and my godmother. Lori and I were ten years apart to the month.
Aunt Emma, Lori’s mother was like a mother to me. Lori was an only child. From the day I was born Aunt Emma took care of me as if I were also her own child. Lori and I knew what each other was thinking before we even spoke. We had a special bond.
In our young adult life I depended on Lori for emotional support and almost everything about my life. We spoke on the phone daily sometimes several times a day. We shared our most intimate secrets and feelings. Read the rest of this entry »
Receiving Spiritual Guidance From Your Ancestors
When people hear the term ancestor worship, it tends to conjure up thoughts of primitive practices, but it is actually a very powerful spiritual experience. I personally see it as communing with our ancestors and the technique I use is similar to that of the Yoruba people of West Africa.
If one looks at various tribes on the African continent, as well as other continents, ancestor worship is a common practice among indigenous people.
Although I cannot say I have any special reverence for my ancestors, the closest word would be respect for all the trials and tribulations they experienced. Going back through my bloodline I know that there have been prisoner-of-war experiences, material hardship and even suicides, to mention but a few, so my predecessors also had their unique life stories.
