Overthinking at night is a common problem for many of us. In the silence of the night, after being on autopilot all day, our overactive minds become a breeding ground for worry, fear, and regret. Over time, this leads to a vicious cycle of anxiety and insomnia, which leads to more stress the next day, which leads to more anxiety and insomnia the next night, and so on.
The results are not only that we feel constantly tired and energetically drained, but we also lose our sense of self and connection to our soul purpose. Feeling energetically drained and disconnected from our authentic selves, we begin to question our choices and direction in life, leading to increased anxiety and decreased self-esteem. It becomes a very toxic spiral that is devastating to our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being!

The spring season is upon us and with it comes a fresh energy of renewal and rebirth.
Very often at this time of year people do a “spring cleaning” of their homes and workspaces, and for good reason. On a spiritual level, we have been moved by the powerful influence of this vibrant seasonal energy since the beginning of time.
As the light of the sun returns and the air begins to warm, we feel on a deep level the cycle of rebirth and the return of fertility to the earth that sustains us, just as our ancestors did through the ages. It inspires us to make room in our lives for this invigorating energy of renewal.

In Ancient Egypt, for example, spring was closely associated with the annual flooding of the Nile, which brought fertile silt to the fields. The Egyptians celebrated the festival of Sham el-Nessim, marking the beginning of spring, which was believed to bring rejuvenation and health.

I recently had to find my “inner zen” when I had to file my taxes in person. Even though I was really, really not in the mood and not looking forward to it at all, I decided to make the most of this dreaded chore by practicing a time-tested spiritual technique of just being present in the moment. Therefore, when we practice manifestation, we may set intentions and visualize our desired results, but the actual manifestation will usually not happen immediately, nor will it happen according to our expected timeline. Divine timing is both a wonderful blessing and a grace, for imagine how chaotic our lives and how unjust the world would be if we had to decide the exact nature and timing of everything ourselves!
