The Divine Spirit Beings Who Guide Our Life Journey
We are all here for two important spiritual reasons – to serve and to learn. Each of us has a unique calling to fulfill and lessons to learn for karmic growth and soul evolution.
The contributions we are meant to make and the lessons we are meant to learn are unique to each of us, and it’s up to us to uncover these aspects of our soul plan as we move through life.
Our guides and angels are a powerful resource in this process, yet they often go unnoticed or even unrecognized. These spirit beings work quietly behind the scenes to provide guidance, support, and protection as we navigate our life journey.
Their primary role is to guide us in fulfilling our mission to be of service, learn our karmic lessons, and to grow. If we don’t fulfill our purpose or learn our lessons, it will keep reappearing in our lives in different ways until we recognize, resolve, accept or own it.
Our guides and angels are always behind the scenes – patiently waiting for us to seek their wisdom and allow them to assist us in fulfilling our soul plan. By connecting with our spirit team, we open ourselves to personal growth and spiritual evolution.
Our spirit and angel guides are benevolent, non-physical beings who serve as intermediaries between the physical and spiritual worlds. Each of us has guides who are assigned to help us, whether we acknowledge their presence or not.
How To Embrace Your Shadow Self
Most people tend to shy away from acknowledging their dark or “shadow” side when it comes to spirituality.
In fact, the tendency to avoid the uncomfortable aspects of the self is due in large part to our religious or spiritual background. Throughout history, most traditions have encouraged people to suppress, deny, or transcend their human flaws and shortcomings in favor of higher ideals such as purity, salvation, or enlightenment.
This reluctance to face the shadow within continues to this day, with modern spiritual and metaphysical communities often favoring light, love, and positivity while largely ignoring the messy, difficult, and painful aspects of the human experience.
But by avoiding the shadow within, we deny ourselves the opportunity for a deeper understanding of our soul’s purpose and untapped possibilities for personal and spiritual growth.
According to Carl Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist who pioneered the concept of the “shadow” in psychology, “one is not enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” Enlightenment isn’t about avoiding the shadow. Instead, it’s about facing it and integrating it into our being.
When we face the shadow within, we reclaim parts of ourselves that hold immense power, creativity, and insight. By delving into the deeper truths of our shadow selves, we can unravel the unconscious patterns that dictate our lives, allowing for true healing, transformation, and enlightenment.
Earth Angels, Synchronicity And Divine Miracles
When people tell me they don’t believe in earth angels, synchronicity and miracles of divine intervention, I always ask them if they’ve ever heard of Katie Lentz and the mystery priest.
Her story is a powerful example of the mystical and awe-inspiring ways spirit and the divine can manifest itself when we need it most.
In 2013, Katie Lentz, a 19-year-old college student in Missouri, was involved in a serious car accident when another driver crossed the center line and collided head-on with her vehicle. Her car was crushed and she was trapped inside.
Rescuers struggled to free her, but the situation was dire. After about an hour, they feared she might not survive due to the extent of her injuries and the difficulty of extrication.
At a critical moment, Lentz asked for someone to pray with her. Then a priest mysteriously appeared out of nowhere. He was described as dressed in traditional priestly garb and carrying anointing oil. He prayed with her, anointed her, and told the rescuers that they would soon be able to free her.
Almost immediately after his prayer, an additional rescue team arrived with the equipment needed to free her. But when the rescuers turned to thank the priest, he was gone. No one at the scene recognized him, knew where he came from or went, and he didn’t even appear in any of the photos taken at the scene.
The Role Of Free Will In Psychic Readings
Free will is a common theme in psychic readings. People often wonder how much of their life is predetermined and how much they control their own future, destiny and happiness.

But even atheists must admit that their lives are also very much determined by their own choices and decisions.
We all have the inner power to shape our lives through our thoughts, beliefs, choices and actions. But with this freedom comes a great responsibility: karma. The ability to create our reality and shape our future has ripple effects that affect not only our own lives, but everything and everyone in the universe.
One of the great questions surrounding free will is the relationship between fate and personal freedom. Many spiritual beliefs hold that our lives unfold according to a divine plan or cosmic blueprint. But if everything is predestined, ordained by a higher power, and happens by divine design, why do we have the ability to make our own life choices at all? Why do we have free will if our lives are already set in stone?

Visiting a nursing home or retirement community and interacting with the residents can be a life-changing experience!
I recently had the opportunity to interact with a group of seniors and one of the things I asked them was, “If you could go back in time and start over, what would you do differently?”
To my surprise, the biggest regret most of them have is that they wish they had been more true to themselves and lived their lives their own way instead of pleasing others. One lady says she realizes she should have followed the original path her soul intended for her, instead of trying to live up to the expectations of others.
Another lady recalls how her life was shattered when a man she loved dearly and had devoted her life to unexpectedly left her to be with someone else. She said that was the day she realized she had wasted so much time putting her own dreams and goals on hold to make someone else the focus of her life. If she could go back in time, she would have handled this relationship very differently. In fact, she would probably never have gotten involved with him in the first place! “Never live for someone else, that is what I have learned,” she said.
Some of the regrets seemed heavy and intense. Some realize that too much time has passed and they cannot undo the choices they have made. There are potential joys and opportunities for personal and spiritual fulfillment that are now forever out of reach. One gentleman added that while there is much wisdom and truth in the saying “it’s never too late,” there are also the practical realities of aging and “missed deadlines” for some things in life.
Serendipity, Synchronicity And The Symphony of Life
Something magical happened yesterday that reminded me of the many serendipities and synchronicities that miraculously unfold in our lives every day without us even noticing. We are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing more often than we realize – and it is no accident or coincidence.
There are many moments in our daily lives that seem to happen by luck or chance, yet they are perfectly timed events that have been orchestrated just for us.
These experiences, which many call “fate” or “coincidence,” are certainly not random occurrences. They are part of the intricate symphony of universal flow and divine order that weaves together the everyday magic of serendipity and the miracle of synchronicity for our highest good.
Yesterday I had a long list of errands to run downtown, two of which were on the same street. My intention was to first pick up something from a courier service and then drop off some household items I wanted to donate at a nearby animal charity shop.
However, on the way to the courier, I took a turn that I do not normally take, which took me directly to the charity shop instead. I was relieved to find a parking spot right outside the door as I had some heavy boxes and crates to unload. How ‘lucky’ that there was a perfect parking space waiting just for me, I thought.
But my ‘wrong’ turn turned out to be not only a blessing in disguise, but also a little miracle that kept on giving. Because I arrived at the store earlier than I had originally planned, I “accidentally” ran into a customer in the shop who was in the process of purchasing the kitchen blender I had donated to the charity over a month ago.
The Ouija Board Is More Than Just A Game
A psychic client recently asked me for my opinion on the Ouija board after she discovered that her teenage son had been playing the “game” at a friend’s house.
To be honest, I have a hard time just writing about this subject, which already tells you my true thoughts and feelings on the matter.
The Ouija board may seem like an innocent board game or even a fun psychic tool for spiritual exploration. However, there are significant reasons to approach this so-called “game” with great caution, if at all.
In my work as a spiritual counselor, I have had to help a few clients over the years who have dabbled with the Ouija board and other forms of dubious spirit communication, such as necromancy. While engaging with the spirit realm offers great potential for spiritual healing, growth, and connection, it is not a practice to be taken lightly.
Developing your intuition and spiritual connection is a beautiful, uplifting process. It allows you to become more aware of the unseen and to communicate with your deceased loved ones, ancestors, spirit guides and angels. But this communication and interaction must be approached with respect, reverence and pure intention.
Well-intentioned practices of divination, psychic reading and mediumship are very different from opening yourself up like a sponge, without boundaries and protections, to any and all spiritual entities and energies.
