Grounded And Centered

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWe’ve all heard the terms ‘grounded’ and ‘centered,’ but do we really know what they mean? Do you ever have days when you feel like a part of you is a step or two behind the rest of you? Do you ever feel ‘hungover’ even though you know you didn’t close the bar the night before? Do you ever have a disconnected feeling? Any of those is a sign that you’re not grounded.

If you’re anything like me, you can’t process information or participate in the discussion going on around you. There are even times I just stare blankly at the wall, the TV or the person who’s trying to talk to me.  At times, I will have arrived at an appointment and not remember driving there, but since the police aren’t there, I must assume I didn’t break any laws.

Grounding, for each of us, is personal. Some people smoke. Coffee can keep you pretty grounded too. I prefer using more harmless methods. An easy way to re-ground is to sit or stand on earth, and just breathe.  As you breathe in, imagine the earth coming up through your body to your head. As you breathe out, release the tension in your shoulders, back and neck. Breathe fresh air in, and toxins out. Slow down, take a few minutes to anchor yourself in this plane. I use this one a lot when I am doing touch therapy or after a hard reading.

Centered is felt in the solar plexus, when you’re centered, you’re in balance, your insides match your outsides and there is a sense of knowing what’s going on. There’s also a sense of confidence that radiates from inside to out.

To re-center sit or stand up straight, align your hips with your shoulders. With your projective hand place the three fingers right below your sternum while allowing your other hand to hang loosely at your side.  Relax your shoulder and neck muscles. Take three or four deep breaths releasing tension with each exhale.

Make Your Own Magical Moon Water

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comThe Moon, our closest celestial body, is strongly associated with the element of water. One way we can harness its powerful energy is by making moon water. Moon water is a powerful tool for energy cleansing and balance, and for strengthening spiritual connection.

The energy charging of moon water can be done at any time, but it is most ideal with the Full Moon. All you need is distilled or fresh water, a container, and a strong sense of intent.

Choosing the right container for your moon water is key. Think about what you plan to do with it: bathing, drinking, watering plants. If you are going to leave the container outside and overnight, consider a mesh or other permeable covering or lid so nothing except moonlight can get inside.

You can also include lunar affinity crystals, such as moonstone, clear quartz, or opal in the making of moon water. You can leave it in the container where it will receive an optimal amount of moonlight, then retrieve it in the morning.

Also, consider the astrological placement of the moon when making your moon water. For example, if you are setting an intention for extra insight and focus in your business or career, then a Full Moon in hardworking Capricorn is an ideal time to make some moon drinking water for the office.

As with any spiritual practice or manifesting ritual, stating your intentions clearly and firmly beforehand is vital. Remember to also extend gratitude to the Moon for her power and positive energies.

Essential Oils For Energy Work

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comEssential oils can be a powerful resource when used in energy work and related spiritual and metaphysical practices.

Grounding. Using Sandalwood, Patchouli, and Frankincense oils, for example, can help keep us grounded while meditating or doing energy work. You can use just one, or you can mix them, then simply diffuse the oil according to your preference.

Romance. To attract love and romance combine 2 parts Rose or Rose Otto with 1 part Lavender, Honeysuckle, or Ylang Ylang.  Use in a diffuser or as a perfume oil on pulse points on your body. The Rose oil makes us feel more desirable, the Lavender, Honeysuckle or Ylang Ylang gives us confidence.

Memory. Using Rosemary, Peppermint, Lemon Grass, and Ginger in any combination will help with studying and memory retention. Dabbing a small amount on your third eye will enhance your ability to recall information later too.

Depression. For mild depression use 2 drops each Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Geranium and Sandalwood in any diffuser. Clary Sage helps promote the feel-good hormones, Ylang Ylang helps with anxiety, Geranium helps clear the debris in our heads and Sandalwood helps keep us grounded.

Energy. To recharge or refuel your energy, mix 12 drops Lavender, 6 drops Peppermint, 4 drops Pine, one drop Cinnamon essential oil. You can mix this in 1 cup of bath salts and enjoy a relaxing bath, or use in an oil diffuser, or both.

Practical Guidelines For Aromatherapy – Part 3

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAromatherapy and essential oils are often used in spiritual and metaphysical practices, but it can also enhance our health and well-being in many ways, including relaxation, relieving tension, calming the mind improving concentration, and increasing mental clarity.

Below are five practical ways to use your favorite essential oils in your home, as well as personal health and beauty.

CANDLES

Any essential oil can be used in a candle to infuse your home, or any space where energy needs to be shifted, cleansed, or recalibrated.

Candle-making is an art and a fun craft for the entire family. You can use molds, tall fireproof glasses, dixie cups.  Just be sure to add the oil while melting the wax, not after the candle has been poured, I learned this the hard way!

SOAPS AND LOTIONS

Soap making is also an art and especially useful in gift-making around the holidays. Making a personalized gift of soap, lotion or candles is inexpensive and always treasured instead of commercial retail products.  Soaps can be either in liquid form, or a bar form (or any shape you can think of).

Practical Guidelines For Aromatherapy – Part 2

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAromatherapy and essential oils are often used in spiritual and metaphysical practices, but it can also enhance our health and well-being in many ways, including relaxation, relieving tension, calming the mind improving concentration, and increasing mental clarity.

Below are three of my favorite essential oils and the best ways to use them.

PEPPERMINT

I use peppermint oil regularly. It has a crisp, clean scent that is both energizing and soothing. It evaporates rapidly and has an intense aroma.  Peppermint is one of the essential oils commonly used for gastric issues and in muscle rubs. I used it for morning sickness and my mother put a few drops on a cotton ball pinned to her collar to help with nausea caused by chemotherapy.

It’s expectorant and decongestant properties make it excellent with upper respiratory ailments, colds, chronic bronchitis, sinus headaches, and seasonal allergies. Diffuse it in an oil diffuser, put 10 drops in a bathtub (4 for children), or make an alcohol plaster.

If you choose to use a tea light diffuser, be sure to put water in with the oil, or the oil will burn, and smell unpleasant. When using an oil diffuser start with 4 or 5 drops, then adjust as desired.

You will need a dish towel, or another rag that will fit around your person’s neck, rolled to fit, 2 or 3 inches wide. Pour 2 or 3 caps full of rubbing alcohol on a 2 to 3 inch square, put 3 or 4 drops of peppermint on the alcohol, place the square on the throat and pin to keep in place.  The alcohol will help the oil evaporate evenly through the night.

Practical Guidelines For Aromatherapy – Part 1

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAromatherapy and essential oils are often used in spiritual and metaphysical practices, but it can also enhance our health and well-being in many ways, including relaxation, relieving tension, calming the mind improving concentration, and increasing mental clarity.

According to Dr. Brent Bauer of the Mayo Clinic, some studies have shown that aromatherapy might also have health benefits, including relief from anxiety and depression, improved quality of life, particularly for people with chronic health conditions, as well as improved sleep.

But I believe it is important to use only good quality oils. There are several ways the oils are extracted from the plant. Distillation and expression create the purest form of oil, which is the kind of the essential oils I prefer to use for health purposes. Other ways are infusion and extraction which create perfume oils, the ones you can buy in any store that also sells perfumed candles and related products. These can used as room deodorizers, but not for treatments.

Furthermore, not all oils are created equally. Most are easy to use, but some can be too strong and must first be diluted with other ingredients before it can be used. Some oils are simply too toxic and should never be applied directly to the skin. Before using any oil, please do some research online or talk with someone knowledgeable who can advise you.

Diffusion Methods

Light bulb rings. I recommend the ceramic ones, the metals in the brass rings aren’t good for the lungs, no matter how safe they seem to be, plus they’re harder to clean. The biggest advantage in using a ring is that the oils fill the room quickly. The biggest disadvantage is that it needs to be placed on a traditional rounded top bulb, but in my house I have energy efficient bulbs, which have a twisted shape.

Retrograde Aromatherapy

Click Here now FOR a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI am very relieved that Mercury is turning direct today, since this recent retrograde has affected me a lot as an empath during these challenging times. Mars will also be turning direct again next week, after a two month retrograde that has left many of us feeling low in energy, demotivated, and struggling to take any real action in our lives. Fortunately, I have now found a useful tool in curbing the effects of retrogrades: essential oils and aromatherapy. This is something that has always been available to me, but I never before considered using in the context of such astrological influences. But now that I have tried it, and it worked, I will be much better prepared next time around!

I am no astrologer, but I do thankfully have access to some very talented ones in my circle of friends, and I received this very helpful advice from one such a friend when I was complaining to her recently about the effects of all the recent retrogrades on my emotional health and well-being. She suggested that my interest in essential oils could be very helpful to support my emotional energy during any major astrological events. I had never before thought of blending and diffusing oils specifically aimed at balancing retrograde energy, but I liked the idea. So, I have been experimenting a lot lately with ‘retrograde aromatherapy.’

There are some common energy themes that are present during retrogrades. For example, a feeling of being at loose ends, or a sudden shift in emotions, often followed by unexpected or unwelcome events. A retrograde is usually a time for us to ground ourselves and focus on unfinished tasks. It is also a time to evaluate our lives and choices, as well as our careers and relationships, whilst managing our erratic emotions.

A retrograde is often a time of upheaval, change and transition. Feeling peaceful, centered, clear and confident during a retrograde can therefore be very useful. To help achieve this I can recommend using some of my favorite oils. Some are maybe less well-known, but you may consider exploring their uses and benefits.

Clary sage

The oil of this flowering herb is wonderful for inspiring clarity and confidence, and is also excellent at soothing intense emotions. For me, it has quite a strong scent and I therefore prefer not to diffuse this oil on its own, but that is a matter of personal preference.
