Shielding Yourself From Unwanted Negative Energy

Once I started working more frequently with clients, I soon realized that I was becoming increasingly susceptible to other people’s energies, both good and bad.

Early in 2002, I was doing an in-person reading for a client that began pleasantly enough. However, this soon changed, once I began connecting more deeply with this lady’s energy. I suddenly had a vivid perception of an evil-looking face rushing towards me. I mean, holy cow batman! This ‘thing’ actually hit me with a wave of energy as it passed through me. I was rattled to say the least and briefly felt physically ill. I was nauseous, sweating, light-headed and my hands were shaking.

Then it returned and hit me again! I then had to stop the reading and excused myself from the room.  As I was walking away, the lady gave me an extremely annoyed, angry look. It made no sense to me that she would be so upset with me for feeling sick, but I soon discovered the reason.

I had recently done another reading for a gentleman who was concerned about his company losing so much money, although his business was actually growing and doing well. I told him that I saw an employee in his company was stealing money by cheating with the bookkeeping.

Well, you can probably guess who that employee was! Yes indeed, it was the angry woman whose reading made me physically sick. She was so furious that I advised her boss to check the books randomly. He soon discovered some entries were being changed at specific times each day and week. After a thorough investigation, it became clear that she had been defrauding the company and she was fired from her position.

She then found out it was a psychic that alerted him to what was going on and subsequently located me. She did not really want a reading, she simply wanted to confront me or somehow ‘get even.’

Eye Gazing As A Spiritual Practice

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comEye gazing is a powerful, ancient practice in which two people engage in a shared meditation practice during which eye contact is maintained for an extended period of time. Eye gazing is usually done for about ten minutes at a time, although it can certainly be any duration preferred.

Eye gazing can be used to access past life information, promote healing, connect to your higher self, guides, or angels, and almost anything else you can imagine. The eyes are the windows to our soul, and our soul is the singularity that connects us to everything else: the Universe, Source, God, the Divine. Eye gazing is also a profound manifesting tool we can use to further develop our ‘spiritual muscles,’ so to speak.

Before you include eye gazing in your spiritual practice, I recommend you read my previous blog on the essentials of eye gazing. Once you are more familiar with the basics, you can also apply the following guidelines to your eye gazing practice.

To use eye gazing for a specific purpose, you must set a clear intention beforehand, and then hold that intention throughout the gaze. You hold an intention by simply keeping a gentle awareness in the back of your mind that what you are seeing during the gaze is relevant to your intention, and trusting that whatever comes forward is always relevant.

It’s important not to simultaneously hold any expectations about what you’re going to see, or to resist anything that comes up spontaneously, just because you don’t immediately see its relevance or connection to your intention. Keep an open mind and be flexible and accepting in the flow of your gazing experience.

If you’re gazing alone, sit comfortably in front of a mirror, take a few centering breaths, and then state your intention out loud. I prefer to speak aloud in my spiritual practice whenever possible, as words are energy forms and therefore add a ‘weight’ to our prayer requests, intentions, and affirmations. State your intention out loud and ask Spirit to provide insight around this intention. Use language that feels right for you.

Grounded And Centered

Do you ever have days when you feel like a part of you is a step or two behind the rest of you? Do you ever feel ‘hungover’ even though you know you didn’t close the bar the night before? Do you ever have a disconnected feeling? Any of those is a sign that you’re not grounded.

If you’re anything like me, you can’t process information or participate in the discussion going on around you. There are even times I just stare blankly at the wall, the TV or the person who’s trying to talk to me.  At times, I will have arrived at an appointment and not remember driving there, but since the police aren’t there, I must assume I didn’t break any laws.

Grounding, for each of us, is personal. Some people smoke. Coffee can keep you pretty grounded too. I prefer using more harmless methods. An easy way to re-ground is to sit or stand on earth, and just breathe.  As you breathe in, imagine the earth coming up through your body to your head. As you breathe out, release the tension in your shoulders, back and neck. Breathe fresh air in, and toxins out. Slow down, take a few minutes to anchor yourself in this plane. I use this one a lot when I am doing touch therapy or after a hard reading.

Centered is felt in the solar plexus, when you’re centered, you’re in balance, your insides match your outsides and there is a sense of knowing what’s going on. There’s also a sense of confidence that radiates from inside to out.

To re-center sit or stand up straight, align your hips with your shoulders. With your projective hand place the three fingers right below your sternum while allowing your other hand to hang loosely at your side.  Relax your shoulder and neck muscles. Take three or four deep breaths releasing tension with each exhale.

Less Stress, More Meditation

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWe do our best to not be in a state of constant stress, toxic environments and unhealthy situations. We try so hard to keep our life in a state of contentment and happiness.

We intuitively know that if we keep our stress levels down, we sleep better and we think more clearly. Being in a state of zen is our original state.

When we are at peace, we are more able to hear that inner voice telling us what to do, and not do. It is what I call our inner GPS. We can hear it much more clearly when I we are centered and grounded, and not stressing.

I have found that only through meditation can I fully achieve this state of ‘less stress’ in my life. Of course, we can never eliminate stress completely, but meditation does empower me to achieve that state of contentment more easily.

After many years of practice, I can even achieve this within a few moments by simply focusing on my breath. But it is best when I take a good 30 minutes to go through my meditative steps. This includes breathwork and visualizing my body relaxing from my toes to top of my head.

During my destressing meditation I also take some time to send out love, light and peace to everyone that I know and love, including those who I don’t necessarily like very much. I also visualize the things I want to manifest in my life.

Take Some Time Out To Embrace The Silence

I see how fast time flies these days and I think we actually make it go by even faster by overloading our lives with so much activity. We over commit ourselves way too much. I have been carefully watching my world lately, and I have seen the busy lifestyles of my friends and family. I see how frantic everyone has become. Such a commotion!

I find it disturbing how we over-busy ourselves and our children, and our lives. We really miss out on what I deem as the ‘finer things’. We need to get that connection back. It’s never too late.

We need to take it down a notch. I understand there are things we have to do – go to work, pay the bills, chores to do, people to see. Sure, I get it! But there are those additional things that we sign on to do when we really shouldn’t, or don’t have the time for, and when we do it has a domino effect. Chaos. Anxiety. Stress.

We need time to unwind more, and not just when we give ourselves six or less hours of sleep. We carve time out for our kids and for our friends and family, and often there is really no time left for a few blissful moments of silence. It’s in the silence that we can know ourselves and truly learn to live with a glass half full mentality.

We are filling our days with so much unnecessary activity these days just to keep up with the Joneses. What is wrong with staying home once in a while? I think staying at home is underrated. I don’t know about you, but home is where my yoga mat has its place and I don’t have to pay a gym membership to be active in my own home. It’s also where my library is, and my family, and most of the things I love and enjoy.

Sun Salutation For Opening Your Heart Chakra

The sun salutation is a choreographed set of yoga exercises that can be used to open the heart chakra and move energy throughout the entire body. Lifting your heart chakra pulls energy into the center.

Stand with your feet roughly one foot part, feet parallel. Tighten your buttocks and push your pelvis forward. Contract your abdominal muscles.

Reach your arms out to the side and slowly move them upward, as if you re scooping energy upward. Keep the arms perfectly straight, with elbows locked.

Bring your hands over your head into a prayer position, with the arms as straight as you can get them. Visualize that energy you scooped up pulsing between your hands. Then, keeping the hands connected in prayer, bring your hands down to your heart and feel that energy you ‘captured’ filling your heart chakra.  Do this over and over as many times as you want.
