Balancing Your Chakras With Flower Power

Get a free psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comI have great faith in the emotional healing power of plants, their oils and how they can have a powerful effect on your well-being. The amazing healing properties of flowers, in particular, can be used to activate our body’s energy centers, otherwise known as the chakras.

Root Chakra

Known as Muladhara, you will find this particular chakra at your spine’s base. Consider it, if you would, the very plug that connects you to the life force of the Earth herself and assists you to remain grounded. When this chakra is in balance, you should feel secure and stable. Should it become imbalanced, however, you may feel somewhat stuck (or lost) in life and find yourself focusing on subjects that do not serve your greatest interests.

The root chakra is associated with the color red, which means you can balance this energy center by treating yourself to a gorgeous bunch of red roses. You can also seek out excellent flower remedies containing nettle, bramble and garlic flower.

Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra, or Svadhisthana, is often referred to as the “pleasure center’ and is situated between the navel and pubic bone. Should you be feeling unfulfilled, isolated or unmotivated, it could be that your pleasure centre may be in need of a little tender loving care.

The color orange is related to this chakra and to maintain its balance you may wish to keep some orange tulips or marigolds next to your bed. By doing so, you should start to feel more connected to your fellow man and they, in turn, pick up on your positivity and want to stay in your company more!

Should flower remedies be more your thing, then the ingredient to look for is cerato, which aids you to listen to your true inner voice and become more self-assured that you are making the right decisions in life.

Solar Plexus Chakra

Manipula is connected to both individual identity and determination. Want to put those dreams into action, but still feel unmotivated, angry and low in self-esteem? If so, this particular chakra could be underactive. Should you, however, be becoming more stubborn, controlling and somewhat irritable for no particular reason, then it will more than likely be overactive.

Either way, there is a solution to the problem which comes in the form of the color yellow for this chakra. Why not grab yourself a bunch of beautiful daffodils, dandelions or evening primrose; meditate upon one of them and let these amazing creations of Mother Nature help you gain back your belief in yourself.

You may also wish to check out flower essences that contain larch, which can help you to face any situation, whatever it may be, with added confidence.

Against a dark sky all flowers look like fireworks. There is something strange about them, at once vivid and secret, like flowers traced in fire in the phantasmal garden of a witch ~ G.K. Chesterton

Heart Chakra

The centre of green energy to be found around the area of your heart is also referred to as Anahata. It is believed to be the point at which the lower and higher chakras meet and, yes, its focus is compassion and love!

Should your heart chakra be too open, you may find yourself becoming somewhat overwhelmed by envy and it may even result in you making your affections conditional. If it is underactive, however, you may find yourself becoming uncaring and cold towards others.

Fear not, however, as Mother Nature always has a botanical answer and in this case a bunch of orchids, carnations or azaleas may help to provide you with a more generous personality and smooth out any troubled romantic issues.

If you find yourself going through a particularly hard time, however (which can really take its toll on the heart chakra), then you may wish to seek out flower remedies containing willow herb, lesser celandine and wild rose.

Throat Chakra

Would you like excellent communication skills? If so, then your throat , or Vishuddha, needs to be well-balanced for you to communicate in a clear and honest way, as well as be able to better listen to others.

This particular chakra vibrates with that beautiful color blue. Are you finding it somewhat hard to express that what you want to express, or maybe feel that others are failing to hear you? If so, then keep a small bunch of forget-me-nots, bluebells and hyacinths close to your desk during working hours and give their beautiful petals a gentle rub when feeling nervous.

Flower remedies to check out for this particular chakra are both German chamomile, which helps when it comes to speaking the truth, and lemon which is associated with clarity.

Flowers have spoken to me more than I can tell in written words. They are the hieroglyphics of angels, loved by all men for the beauty of their character, though few can decipher even fragments of their meaning ~ Lydia M. Child

Third Eye Chakra

Found between your eyebrows, the Ajna chakra is understood to be the home to your sixth sense or intuition. When in a state of balance, it allows you to look at things as they actually are – not how you would like them to be. At such times you may find that your dreams are particularly vivid and psychic powers stronger than usual.

Lack of vision and imagination, however, are typical traits of this chakra being imbalanced, but this is where the lovely color indigo and the flowers associated with it, such as sweet peas, violets and lilacs, can help to restore balance.

As for flower remedies, you need to consider rosemary, which is believed to assist with clarification of thought, clary sage, understood to aid with second sight, and tree resins, such as copal and benzoin, which are believed to open up your third eye.

Crown Chakra

Sahasrara or the Crown Chakra, is to be found on the top of the head as is understood to be the very gateway to one’s higher self and is spiritually connected to the Universe. Its colors are violet and white.

If this chakra becomes overloaded, you may start to think you are always right. However, should it not be open enough, you may be seen as having a closed mind, and be of the opinion that your life is lacking in meaning.

To harmonize this particular energy centre, you need to bring jasmine, white lilies, geraniums or periwinkles into your living and working environment.

As for flower remedies connected to this chakra, lavender, which is understood to assist with spiritual transformation and frankincense, which is believed to aid in connecting with the divine, are both excellent choices.
