Protect Yourself From Toxic People
I want you to know that you’re not the only one who may have people in your life draining you, and making you feel downright guilty and sick. This is what I call toxic love. Why do we stay with these people, or why do we continue to allow these people into our space and environment?
I’m sure you know why we allow some of them…we have no choice! They are is family, sometimes our friends and distant relatives, and sadly often times our life partners and spouses. Being a very empathic person myself, I am very sensitive to the energies around me. I know what it is like to be surrounded by energy thieves.
The best lightning rod for your protection is your own spine ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
If you don’t constantly prepare to protect yourself before being around these types of folks, you can get into serious trouble. It’s like you’re in front of an emotional vacuum cleaner, or inside a whirlwind tornado.
For example, everyone has some family members or in-laws that they just clash with. It’s all ego and pride, and they like to judge and gossip. It seems you can never say or do the right thing when you are around these people, and it can be annoying to say the least,
It is one of our challenges in this life is to learn to protect ourselves from these people. It’s the only way to survive, grow and be healthy and happy. Psychic protection is one of the ways to keep from allowing dis-ease to enter and then fully manifest disease in the body. Anger, stress, anxiety and negativity are all unhealthy, and these emotional states take a huge toll on the body!
There are a few ways to keep yourself protected when you have no choice and have to share space with energy vampires of all varieties:
1. Keep a Tourmaline stone with you. It is a high vibrational gem that absorbs negative energy and keeps you from having to soak it up yourself and then feeling drained.
2. Rose Quartz keeps your heart strong and protected. It is great for keeping with you when around a loved one or mate who is very negative and draining.
3. Get a good night’s rest of at least eight hours or more sleep. For example, if you know you have to go to a potentially draining family reunion, maybe at the in-laws, that would be a great way to recharge. Carrying a tourmaline to such an event is priceless!
Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind, feelings and emotions ~ Will Smith
4. Meditate. Meditate. Meditate. I can’t say it enough! Get clear and find that peaceful place to just let go and get connected to everything. And get happy. As they say happiness does come from within, not from anything outside of us. When I meditate I see the disconnect in others and when doing readings I can tell right away what I need to say and share that. Often people already know, but they are just so busy they don’t notice or realize that which was making them feel disconnected.
5. Love unconditionally. You can love others and yourself by choosing the words that come out of your mouth careful, speak slowly and with kindness. We can let our light shine and be an example, as people will only treat you in the way in which you treat yourself and others, unless they are really negative. In that case you can send them healing energy and, if so inclined, pray for them.
These are some of the ways you can avoid being sucked into other peoples misery. Misery loves company, but you can chose to love and only allow those who are of a higher vibration into your environment. It’s your birthright to be happy.
Remember, people can only bring dis-ease and negativity into your life if you allow it.
