The Truth About Your Ego

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWe so often think of the ego as a bad thing. And we spend a lot of time deciding what level of ego is okay. The truth is, it’s all okay. It’s only our sense of self that makes us think someone’s ego is too big, or too small.

Let me elaborate. The ego is simply another tool we have to translate energy. The ego is simply our sense of self, our sense of identity, our sense of self-esteem or self-importance. That last one, self-importance, usually hits a cord with most people. But you are important, why shouldn’t you think so?

We often confuse ego-mania with the ego. We use these two words interchangeably, and therefore the ego has gotten a bad rap. Like anything balance is needed.

When we think of ego, we often think of someone who uses others to fuel their own sense of self. This isn’t ego, this is an imbalanced person who is grasping for a way to make themselves feel better, because they don’t see how truly amazing they are.

Choosing Your Outlook On Venus In Virgo

Click for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comA personal goal is to one day become an astrologer, but there is so much to know! I find it utterly fascinating and feel it deserves undivided attention and time to truly study. One thing I have meanwhile learned about astrology and astrologers is that everyone’s opinion is different.

Astrologers tend to interpret the movements of the planets in their own personal way, just like a psychic interprets signs, cards and tools in their own way. To remain as objective as possible, I like to consult and check with several different astrologers, to get as many of the facts as possible. What one astrologer feels is a negative or challenging energy, or aspect, another may see as an opportunity, or a chance to work our magic and see the positive side of it.

The Right To Belief

click photo for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAs with the waves of the seas and the motions the wind, there is a beauty in the rhythm of the regularity of belief. With this, people always seem to feel it is best to add an element of surprise to outwit their own survival, to outwit nature, or even God, and with that, tend to cheat their own survival.

Nature itself does not fear or care, nor does spirit fear itself. It may fear for us, in its own, benevolent self, but it has no personal concern for morals that we decree in order to trap or harm each other. It is as free and as spirited as itself, and does not care for our intellectual opinions. As such it also may not have as much of a concern with our egos, as we are its children.

But with our own gloating selves, and in being able to intuit or divine, and daring to outwit, declare, organize or define, we have not been able to decide why we want to control that which cares for us. Is it just that we have a misdirected relationship with ourselves, our families, our communities, our church? Is it simply a naive sense we have, that we need to control everything and everyone?

Social Survival Skills For Empaths

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comBeing an empath can be an incredibly helpful gift to have in day-to-day life. But living with this gift also has its challenges, and overcoming these are part of the journey for every empath.

While everyone’s gifts and experiences are unique, some life lessons seem to be very common among the empath community. Feeling misunderstood, or like you don’t quite belong, is a good example. I’ve heard this from so many empaths! Finding your tribe is incredibly important and helpful as you navigate your sensitivity. Connecting with people who understand you can support your growth and greatly increase your comfort as an empath.

Live Your Wild, Precious Life!

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.com“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” These words by Mary Oliver is my favorite inspirational quote, which I even use as the postscript in all my letters and emails. No matter our age, we will always have desires. They are an important part of what our soul came here to learn and experience.

In this life we go through it all: love, loss, sickness, grief, anger, hope, and joy. Some of our challenges can knock us off our game and leave us in the land of the lost.  We can feel like giving up on love, our dreams and desires, and numb out.

Before the movie The Bucket List was released, I was planning a transition from a fast-paced engineering job. I was contemplating early retirement and I wanted to take some gap time before going full-time in my metaphysical business.

How To Improve Your Money Karma

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comKarma and money can be a very confusing and complicated spiritual matter. There are lessons in being poor and lessons in being rich. We will be rich in some lifetimes, and poor in others. Most lifetimes we will swing left and right of the middle of wealth.

The universe sometimes uses money as karma, but not always. Money is neither good nor bad. Money is energy. It can be used for good or bad.

The test for poverty is: can you be happy, healthy, holy, loving, generous and not be materialist or greedy if you are poor? The test for wealth is: can you be happy, healthy, holy, loving, generous and not be materialist or greedy if you are rich? Can you find peace no matter how much or how little money is in the bank?

A Spiritual Approach To Chronic Complainers

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comDon’t complain, don’t ever complain. These are words I read in a book long ago, and they have stuck in my mind ever since. However, I certainly seem to have attracted a lot of complainers into my life – moaners and critics who have taken the very process to an art form! Amongst these individuals are family, friends and love relationships, and they are all challenging in their own way.

I have come to the conclusion that the lesson those souls have given me, is to rise above the irritation, and perhaps to try and see their predicament and unhappiness from a place of compassion. I have since managed to become less affected by other people’s groaning, because I stopped thinking that their displeasure might be my fault, or that I could ‘fix’ them and turn them from a ‘cup-half-empty’ type of person to a ‘cup-half full.’
