When An Earthbound Soul Haunts Your Home
Earthbound souls are lingering spirits that have not yet crossed over. Their energy is often attached to their former home, or even to objects that they cherished. They can also be attached to a person.
They typically continue to dwell on the earth plane because they either cannot accept or do not understand that they have passed, or they have unfinished business here. They often harbor regret. Some of the typical reasons why a soul may remain attached to this world include:
- They have unfinished business, karmic debt, or have suffered an injustice.
- They are fearful of crossing over or worried about what may await them in the spirit realm.
- Their death was extremely painful or traumatic.
- They died suddenly or unexpectedly and do not realize they are no longer alive.
- They are intensly concerned for the well-being of their loved ones.
In my experience, it is sometimes living relatives who are causing spirits to remain attached to this world. Sometimes bereaved family members do not realize that their avoidance of dealing with the grieving process may be preventing their deceased loved one from crossing over.
If we are unable or unwilling to let a loved one go and release their soul to the spirit realm, they then choose to stay here with us. They are concerned for our well-being and until they are reassured that we will be okay without them, they will not muster the necessary will to fully depart this world and cross over to the Other Side. How To Develop Your Intuition
We all have access to spiritual inner guidance in the form of our intuition, and the more we pay attention to it, the stronger it will become. Intuition is like a muscle, so the more we develop it, the stronger it becomes.
The following strategies can help to hone your intuitive abilities and learn to better listen to your powerful ‘sixth sense.’ Use these strategies to help you to tune into your inner wisdom and develop your relationship with your intuitive guidance. Intuition is a soul awareness that we are all born with and the more we engage with it, the stronger it will become for us.
Awareness
Intuition is a very low key, subliminal form of awareness. It is not highly charged like our emotions tend to be, and so it can easily go unnoticed.
Intuition for people who are less aware usually is only noticed when it presents as an uneasy sensation or a foreboding feeling. It can be difficult to put your finger on exactly what the sensation or feeling is. Intuition can also be a ‘knowing’ without any sensation or feeling.
The first step to begin working with your intuition is to pay more attention to it! So, when you have that tell-tale sensation or subtle feeling, or that vague sense of knowing, focus on being more present with it. Ask yourself questions about what you are experiencing.
For example, if it’s a knowing, does it come with any other sensations or feelings in your body? If so, where do you sense it in the body? What does it feel like? Emotions tend to be very pronounced and charged.
How To Know If Your Home Is Haunted
Do you suspect that you home may be haunted, or feel the presence of something paranormal? When we sense something like this, it is usually true. And the more open we are to it, the more this kind off spirit energy can linger in the house, on furniture, and even in ornaments and clothing. Spirit energy can become attached to a place, person, or an object and dwell there.
One of the tell-tale signs to look out for is a sudden sense of cold air that you cannot explain – it feels a little like being near dry ice. This is how I often experience it. Other signs include a strong pressure around your head, a strange ‘heaviness’ in the air, whispers, unusual sounds, or hearing voices, as well as the feeling that someone is watching you.
Other things to look out for is electrical disturbances that can’t be explained, seeing shadows out of the corner of your eye, the ominous feeling of being touched, feeling constantly drained or tired, and abnormal behavior in your pets. You may also have an ‘unwelcome house guest’ if there are unexplained, unfamiliar smells that have no other explanation. It is often a foul smell.
Being more aware of the presence of spirit energies can be very helpful when you are considering renting or buying a house. Often there is a presence of dark, negative spirit attachment in a home, it will often feel very cold, empty, lonely, and angry. A home with positive, healthy energy feels peaceful warm, peaceful and calm.
Ghosts are spirits that have not crossed over. There are differences between a ghost and a spirit. A spirit, like the energies of our departed loved ones, our guides and angels, makes us feel calm and reassured., while a ghost or negative energy attachment will cause an eerie, ominous feeling.
Spiritual Self-Care For Clairsentients
We all have access to the four channels of psychic energy and intuition. These include clairvoyance (clear vision), claircognizance (clear thinking), clairaudience (clear hearing) and clairsentience (clear feeling). While everyone has access to each of these channels of inner guidance, one or more of these tend to be stronger for every individual.
Clairsentience is the pathway for receiving divine guidance and spiritual information through feelings and physical sensations. You are probably clairsentient if you often saying, “I feel” or “I sense.” For example, you may say, “I feel it would be a good idea,” or “I sense a bad vibe in this place,” or “I just don’t have a good feeling about that person.”
You may also experience clairsentience as ‘tingles’ on your skin or the back of your neck when your Angels or Guides are near or sending you a message. You probably also get ‘gut feelings’ or ‘hunches’ about things and typically experience the sensations in your solar plexus area.
Some clairsentients also pick up strongly on people and animals’ feelings and emotions. This is an aspect of clairsentience known as being an empath or a sensitive.
No matter how one uniquely experiences clairsentience, it is vital to practice good spiritual self-care. Clairsentients are especially vulnerable to energy influences and can easily get sucked into drama, addiction, and co-dependency – all of which negatively affect your psychic abilities and distract you from your true path.
The Romantic Challenges Of Being An Empath
I frequently do readings for clients who are discovering their empathic abilities, as well as awakened empaths who are still working on their self-empowerment. The majority of empaths that I have worked with over the years have all been in very high-stress romantic situations that do nothing but magnify what these highly sensitive people are already experiencing. While this is no doubt confusing, frightening and intense for the empath, one must consider the fact that it also greatly impacts their partners.
An empath a highly sensitive person who is very aware of the feelings, moods and motivations of other people and are deeply affected by the energies around them. This is experienced by the empath in many ways, including as physical sensations, moods, and emotions, as well as an inner knowing of what lies beneath the surface of other people’s words and actions. An empath has the ‘psychic radar’ to hone in intuitively on the truth of a person or situation.
Relationships, especially romantic ones, can therefore be a nightmare for empaths, and their partners. While their partner may be saying one thing, the empath ‘knows’ or ‘feels’ something different, and can sense if their partner is being dishonest or deceitful. While this can be useful at times to protect the empath from pursuing relationships with the wrong kind of person, it can also be very damaging and destructive to a potentially happy, healthy relationship with loving partner.
It can be very disconcerting and intimidating for the romantic partner of an empath to feel so constantly questioned, judged and exposed. I get many calls from empaths who are deep in an argument stemming from their partner’s refusal to come clean about what is really going on, or what they are truly feeling. The more the partner protests, the more the empath pushes and prods, leading the partner to shut down, withdraw, or disconnect completely.
The Ability To ‘Read Energy’
I use energy reading a lot in my work as a psychic advisor. I tend to read people’s energy first, and then I may ‘hear’ words and phrases, or ‘see’ images and visions, and so on. What is it like to ‘read energy’? The experience is not easy to put into words. It is both a feeling and a sensation, often combined with various sensory experiences.
For example, I once saw a photo of my friend’s baby grandson. I instantly sensed something was unusual with his mental energy. His energy, which I ‘see’ as a ‘ball,’ seemed slow. It was also moving in swirls, instead of the neat circles that I usually see with most people. It later turned emerged that he has a learning disability.
I also had a sense at the time that the parents needed to take this seriously and get him some private therapy, as it would lessen the difficulties he would have later in life and his education. But they chose not to do anything about it. As time went on it was becoming more and more obvious that he was struggling. Sadly, it could have been significantly lessened with early intervention.
When I meet people who are depressed, their energy is also slow, and it typically feels like it is diminished and moving backwards. Anxiety on the other hand reads as their ‘ball of energy’ being on fire. It is red and expansive, and the energy seems to be moving erratically.
Mental illness reads like the waves of the ocean. Instead of all their energy circling in the same direction, there are many waves going in many different directions. The energy is typically ruptured and chaotic.
People who have severe physical inflammation have energy that swells beyond their ball of light. It feels like a tire that has been over-inflated with air: dense and puffed up. Inflammation also affects their thought patterns.
Dark or evil energy is very distinct. I always have a visceral reaction first. I feel a tightness in my gut, the hair on my arms stand up, I begin to sweat, and I tend to feel nervous and on edge. The energy ball here can be anywhere from a dull brown, to grey or even black.
Tune Into The Guidance Of Your Emotions
I believe our emotions are an additional ‘sense’ we use as a means of interpreting our life experiences, in the same way the normal five senses enable us to perceive and understand the world around us. Our ‘emotional sense’ help us make decisions about our preferences all the time.
For example, I love chocolate. My sense of taste tells me that chocolate is for me! It’s a very clear and obvious signal from my taste buds to my brain. We receive and process stimuli all the time and our senses help us to ‘make sense’ of that input.
Your emotions are also giving you information about your preferences and if we listen and pay attention, we can gain a lot of guidance from it. Our emotions don’t just come from nowhere. They arise in direct response to stimuli or input, just like our senses do.
I have also heard emotions described as an internal guidance system, or our inner compass, which helps us decide what we want to create more of, and less of, in our life. We sometimes get confused though, because just like the other senses, we have different preferences.
For example, some people love coconut desserts, but I detest then. Not thanks, keep your coconut out of my chocolate! The thing is, I’m not confused about the fact that I don’t like coconut. I also don’t feel I have to change my preference because other people love coconut. And I also don’t force myself to eat it, just to make other people happy.
When one of our five physical senses tells us something we tend to listen, because it’s visceral. We feel it undeniably in the body. Emotions are no different!
When you are heartbroken, do you not feel it in your chest as a physical pain? When you are embarrassed, do your cheeks or ears not become flushed? Or how about when someone you love hugs you so warm and deliciously, all your muscles just ‘melt’ into that person? These are all physical responses the accompany our emotions.
