The Miracle Power Of Music

click here to get a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comLast night, my friends and I went out to see a performance by the blues artist, Shemeka Copeland. What a great show that lady put on! The music made the audience feel the love and joy, young and old alike, happily singing along and feeling the vibes.

Looking around me, I saw many people with smiling faces moving to the beat, doing the chair dance, clapping hands and happy feet. People of all walks of life came together as a community, any and all differences forgotten, because of a shared love of the music. The miracle of music!

All living things respond to sound. It’s the vibes that just touch us, because music is after all nothing more than vibration. Music has been known to inspire, soothe, calm and heal. I have heard, for example, of a group of harpists who play at hospitals for the benefit of patients.

When my daughter was young she said to me, “Momma, if the teachers only had music playing in class, all the kids would pay attention and understand what they were teaching.” On the flip side my parents always said, “Turn that music off!” How can you study, learn and remember what you are reading with that music on, they asked.

Purity Of Purpose – The Enigma Of Our Soul’s Journey

click here to get a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comNone of us really know what we are doing. Though we go about our days with full intent, saturated purpose and determined objectives, the real sublime reason why we are motivated to act remains hidden from view. We awake in the morning with a concentrated objective, having calculated the outcome and minimized the barriers.

We proceed as if what we will achieve has something to do with us. So much so, we either take blame for the mishaps, or bask in the glory of the success. Neither response is accurate, or appropriate. We think we know what we are doing, but we do not. We never know. We only project, and in those projections, we are wrong.

There’s much more to the picture left unseen, than seen. So much is hidden from view. It’s simply amazing how we go about our days denying how much crucial information we don’t have access to. We work with what we see in an obscured partial light, but we attack the problems as if we have all the goods available.

The truth is, our present knowledge and insight, no matter how much we may have paid for expert guidance, is always limited and biased. Yet, we continue to make all of these unnecessary plans and believe that unless they unfold exactly and precisely as we have ordered or constructed, we have in some way failed to accomplish our preset goals.

The Integrity Of Being Non-Judgmental

This is the age of being non-judgmental. So, does this mean you love and accept your neighbor who is a registered sex offender? Do you not say anything to your best friend when her partner is cheating on her, or stealing from her, because you don’t want to judge and be negative? Where does being non-judgmental begin and end? And what if non-judgment is really cowardice instead?

Native people all over the world, before so-called civilization, did not have police or prisons. Tribal members held each other accountable, on many different levels. You could not act in a way that was harmful to the rest of the tribe, without someone calling you out and bringing you before the elders, the shamans, or the tribal council. Tribes would punish or exile any person that caused harm to the tribe.

These days, if you dare call anyone out for their misconduct, you risk being branded as negative and judgmental, and told you need to practice unconditional love. Sadly, this means that it usually takes decades of abuse, before something like the Me Too movement, or any form of human or civil rights abuse is finally brought into the light and confronted.

Sociology and Social Psychology label tribal culture as form of collectivism, meaning the good of the majority comes first, before the needs of the individual. But in some circles fearmongers prefer to label collectivist behavior as ‘socialism’ or ‘communism.’ Continue reading

The Healing Power Of The Ocean

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comIn the same way that material things need to be cleansed from time to time, after it has been frequently used or exposed to unwanted environmental influences that can potentially harm it, the human body and the soul also need to be cleansed. It must be done to ensure that the functionality of the mind, body and soul is not affected in adverse ways on the long run.

Ocean healing is one of the best ways to restore our energy balance, both physically and spiritually. It is a very effective and efficient way to cleanse the body, recharge the mind and revitalize the soul.

The healing power of the ocean has been known to us since the dawn of time. Connecting with the ocean heightens our spiritual awareness and inspires a positive change in our life, as the vibrational frequencies of the body, mind, and soul reaches a new high when we are near the water. The currents in the ocean act as a restorative, relaxing, and soothing energy.

There are many creative ways in which you can align yourself with the energy of the ocean. To benefit from this healing power, it is best to spend as much time on or near the ocean as possible. Walk on the beach, go sailing or fishing, or swim in the ocean itself. All these activities bring you closer to the ocean’s healing ability. You can go with someone, or you could go alone, either way, without your conscious mind even realizing it, your body, mind, and soul will find healing by you spending time by the water.

Reclaiming Your Power When A Relationship Ends

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comOne of the main reasons it is so painful to release someone when a relationship ends, is because we have usually invested so much of our time and energy in our connection with that person. In essence, what we are truly missing when we mourn a relationship are parts of our self that we have given away. What we are mourning is the loss of our hopes and dreams, not merely the presence of the person who is no longer in our life.

If this is something you are currently struggling with, I recommend the following ritual designed to help you reclaim your power after a relationship break-up, so that you can restore your inner wholeness and resume your search for true and enduring love.

Supplies

  • 3 votive candles: 1 blue, 1 green, 1 yellow
  • 1 aqua marine or clear quartz crystal
  • rain or sage incense wand
  • small mirror
  • 3 copper pennies
  • 2 tbsp of fresh or dried mint in a small bowl
  • 2 tbsp sea salt

How To Create Your Own Angel Altar

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comOver the last few months, I have written in depth about the angelic realm and all the wonders it bestows upon humanity. In today’s blog, however, I wish to share some ideas on how to construct your own angel altar at home, so that you can connect with the angels and archangels whenever you need their spiritual guidance and assistance in your life.

First, find a sacred space for your altar somewhere in your home or office. This can just be a small, private area in your bedroom where you know you will not be disturbed and will be at peace with yourself.

Select or purchase a base for your altar. It can be as simple as a small box or coffee table that is sturdy enough to hold whatever you choose to place upon it. Then drape a cloth over your altar. Anything that is large enough to cover the base will suffice.

Next, you can adorn your altar by placing appropriate objects on it, such as candles, crystals, angelic figures, plants, flowers, stones, and the like. You may use anything that is personally meaningful to you, or to which your are intuitively drawn.

To glamorize your display, you could add golden or silver colored objects, or even spray-paint an artifact of your choice to really add that personal touch. Silver, gold, black, white and mirrored rectangular trays are particularly on trend at the moment for decorating holy altars. However, if your budget is limited, simply paint or decorate an old tray, before placing it on your altar. Check around your home for other unused items that you could paint spray and add to your altar to compliment it.

Nurture And Nourish Yourself With Nature

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comIn our busy world we tend to take nature for granted. Consider for just a moment all the things flowers, plants and trees really do for humanity. They sustain life all around the world. Plants produce food and oxygen for many of the largest animals around the world, as well as for humans. Plants are also used for healing.

Unfortunately, modern humanity demands that things grow faster and produce better crops, leading us to alter plants in such a way that they might no longer be as healthy as they once were.

Just by watching the trees, one can predict the weather. We sometimes have an abundance of acorns from the oak trees here in Maine. It is said to be a sign of a snowy winter. Most acorns mature in late summer and begin falling from the trees in September or October. It’s a great time for the squirrels to collect them, and become fat and round before the winter.

In Maine the winter tends to be very long and it’s easy to become a somewhat down and sad. So, my friend and I decided earlier this year to take a ride on such a gray day to the local greenhouse that is open all winter. Plants, flowers, trees and beautiful landscapes can change one’s state of mind and put a smile on your face!
