The power of our thoughts are presented to us daily, and many miss the messages or responses to what they themselves are putting out. The incredible power of thought is an energy. Energy can calm or disrupt. Know that this power also belongs to you. Thought evokes emotion and emotion evokes thought. This is our cycle.
Do you hold that much power? Yes, you do. Collectively it is a force to be reckoned with. It brings to mind an expression my mentor would use in regards to people’s words and actions: “If they only used their power for good.” Says it all.
Have you ever walked into a room and felt the energy as ‘thick’ or ‘unwelcoming.’ I believe we all have. On the flip side, we have also entered a space that was warm, inviting and full of love. Is this ‘atmosphere’ created? Yes, it is… by the people that inhabit that space, or by the energy the people who had been there left behind. We are the creators of our energetic environment. This ties into love and relationships in a big way. Read the rest of this entry »
Natural Law is a term that is used for so many different descriptions and is actually ambiguous. It can be the law of nature; a philosophical law related to ethics and morality, or many other laws where rules are applied.
Greek philosophers, such as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, specifically distinguished between the law of the land and the law of nature. The law of the land was specific to the cities, districts and government whereas the Law of Nature is the same everywhere.
In physics one might even say that the Law of Gravity is a Natural Law, as it exists everywhere on the planet and throughout time. Technology has advanced such that we are able to influence gravity, yet we have not changed the inherent Law of Gravity. Read the rest of this entry »
Karma is a tricky word to define. And no, it doesn’t mean ‘revenge’ or ‘payback!’ In the simplest sense, karma is energy. We get back what we put forth. Or, to paraphrase Mahatma Gandhi, we become the product of our thoughts. And, like other forces at work in the Universe, karma follows a set of basic laws:
Great Law – We reap what we sow, every cause is related to an equal cause.
Law of Creation – Our intentions and desires are related. In other words, God helps those who help themselves.
Law of Humility – It is what it is. We must first address the root of our issues and accept things at face value, before we begin to change. Read the rest of this entry »
Himalayan salt lamps naturally purify the air through ionization. Studies indicate that as much as a third of the world’s population reacts adversely to negative ions, and many people report that the air becomes easier to breathe when using a salt lamp.
Larger versions of these lamps, ideally hand-carved from the natural rock salt, are attractive and come in shades of red, amber, and cream. No two are alike! They weigh between 25 and 32 pounds and each will treat a space up to 320 square feet. Apart from the tabletop versions, did you know they are also available in a larger, half-dome size? Like their smaller versions, these lamps have multiple health benefits: relief from asthma and allergies, low energy, sleeplessness, and attention deficit. Read the rest of this entry »
Cherish your time alone. It is important to take some time out for yourself to process emotions and energies. As a human on this Earth you are ever always experiencing the energies that are around you, whether it is your personal space or the consciousness of the ‘all.’
Focus on mastering the mind, for it is in your mind that you create your own reality and once you master your mind, you become the sole master of your life, instead of at the whim of the energies swirling outside of you.
The first step in mastering the mind is to constantly be present with yourself. It is easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of doing, moving from one action to the next exhausting yourself just thinking about all that needs to be done. But the reality is, there is nothing that needs to be done. There is only that which needs to be. Read the rest of this entry »
The Moon has always been a mysterious thing to me. I look at it and I feel a sense of comfort, and a sense of wonder. Do you also stare in wonder at the Moon sometimes? Then this blog post is for you.
I am not a Wiccan. However, I do like to take advantage of what God has given us to use in our lives. And I believe we can use the power of the Moon.
Ken Biles of Cyber Witchcraft explains how all people are affected by the Moon. First responders in emergency services will most likely tell you that things can get a little unusual around the time of a Full Moon. This is a truism without scientific proof. Read the rest of this entry »
The time has come for change, new beginnings, the start of a new year. Have you done your homework? Are you ready? Are you stuck? I ask you these questions, as the beginning of a new year is a time of reflection.
This is the perfect time to look at the past year and ask yourself, “How did I do?” Did you check any boxes off on your bucket list? Did you manifest anything new, different or exciting into your life? Or did you stay stuck where you were at the beginning of last year?
I impress upon you to pick up a pen and a journal, or even just a piece of paper, and start to write what things happened to you in 2016 that you are grateful for. I urge you to write down the continued intentions for your life. Even if they were on your list last year, and did not happen, write them down again. Read the rest of this entry »
My life is running in reverse right now – or so it seems. My energy is low and it is affecting my health. I took the time to sit today and ask my guides, “What am I missing here? I have been doing what you asked, helping others, being there for those that need me and working towards my goals and my highest good. Why are these things hitting me right now to knock me down again?”
The answer I received was eye opening and so simple. “Sheri, it is time to clear the clutter, so you can move forward again.”
Clutter is one of those things that can hold us back, that can take us in reverse, or just put a wall up in front of us, so we don’t achieve our true higher potential. Read the rest of this entry »
