Transform Your Chores Into Moments Of Zen
I recently had to find my “inner zen” when I had to file my taxes in person. Even though I was really, really not in the mood and not looking forward to it at all, I decided to make the most of this dreaded chore by practicing a time-tested spiritual technique of just being present in the moment. This attitude made my day so much easier and more fulfilling.
As I waited in line at the tax office, I couldn’t help but overhear a less than happy man ranting in one of the booths. I felt bad because, well, we are all human and this is about paying taxes, for goodness sake! We can hardly blame others for reacting this way. I mean, who really enjoys doing their taxes?
But I think it’s better to stay calm and carry on, because in the end everything will be fine. Having a “panic attack” or “hissy fit” like the guy in that booth won’t change the situation, except to make it worse. I know from experience that keeping an inner calm always wins the day.
If you have to deal with a chore or task that you are not looking forward to, try to embrace it and immerse yourself in the experience rather than making it worse by creating a lot of resistance around it. There is a lot of ancient wisdom in “being present in the now.” It is no accident that this concept is rooted in various spiritual traditions and teachings throughout history, as it points to a universal truth that is essential for spiritual living and personal well-being.
Find Your Rainbow In Troubled Times
There are days when it seems like the storm winds and rain in your life will never stop. Those days when your mind is filled with shadows and your heart is heavy. When a grief or a broken heart seems like a never-ending wound.
But trust me. One day soon you will walk out into the sunshine and see another beautiful rainbow! You will look at the colors of a perfect rainbow after a destructive storm of heavy rains and gasping winds, and you will know that all is well.
The storm may sometimes seem never-ending, but we always find a rainbow of promise on the other side. Then you will see the majesty of the spectrum of colors and the great arc that delights the sky. And if you follow that wondrous curve carefully, you may even find the pot of gold at its end!
In that perfect moment, you will forget the sadness and despair you felt before. The heaviness in your heart will be gone and you will be reminded that nothing is lost forever. The rainbows of life will always bring new moments, a new day, a new beginning. This is Spirit’s promise to us.
Since the dawn of time, rainbows have captured the imagination and beliefs of people in different cultures as a divine symbol of hope, healing, protection and rebirth.
Anger Awareness For The Empowered Empath
Of all the emotional energies that empaths have to deal with, anger is one of the most powerful and potentially destructive, because empaths feel and react first, and think later.
An empath’s initial reaction to someone else’s angry feelings is usually some form of intense “fight or flight” response.
The more extroverted empath will often respond to the anger with equal force, usually involving a very intense and potentially catastrophic emotional outburst. The introverted empath will usually “flee” the scene or do everything possible to avoid the person who is emitting the anger.
After the initial reaction, the empath’s emotional state will often then shift to sadness, anxiety, or feeling drained and depressed at seemingly inappropriate times and for no apparent reason.
Because it is very common for empaths to be intensely aware of the feelings, moods, and motives of others, sometimes even before others are aware of their own feelings, a strong emotion like anger deeply affects us. And if the other person is a spouse or partner in a romantic relationship, anger can become a proverbial land mine. Ditto if it is a co-worker or employer.
Astrology Forecast February 26 – March 3, 2024
Harmony is the theme for the first half of the week as the Moon moves through loving Libra, focusing us on our relationships with ourselves and others. We may also be in a more romantic mood than usual and open to making new friends.
This morning’s Libra Moon trine to Pluto in Aquarius may affect our work productivity and focus, as we will be more intensely in our “feels” than usual. This aspect can also make us feel restless for adventure, excitement, novelty or change.
Fortunately, we will be back on track by Wednesday afternoon with the Pisces Sun conjunction with Saturn in Pisces. This aspect tends to drive us to get our business or professional affairs in order and become more organized and focused.
Beware however the Mercury in Pisces conjunction with Saturn in Pisces on Wednesday morning, as this aspect can cause us to be stubborn, resentful, and suspicious . Don’t accuse your partner of cheating without actual evidence, avoid unnecessary arguments with the family, and focus on being a team player at work, as much as you may feel the need to work alone and do things your way.
The second half of the week belongs to a Scorpio Moon, and combined with the Pisces Sun, this is a great time to practice your metaphysical skills, try some channeling to connect with others from the spirit world, or simply increase your meditation time to strengthen your inner well-being and intuitive powers.

Midweek, from Wednesday to Friday, the Moon struts into Leo, putting a spotlight on our closest ties and unleashing our empathetic and generous sides. It’s a reminder to not forget about numero uno. This lunar phase is tailor-made for self-care and showering yourself with a bit more love.
Come Friday, Mercury joins the Pisces party with the Sun, steering our thoughts towards the magical, mystical, and soulful realms. Brace yourself for a few weeks of metaphysical insights – keep those antennas up!
Saturday’s Virgo Full Moon, also known as the Snow Moon for the often heavy snowfall that occurs in North America at this time of year will urge us to shed baggage of the past, discard any misguided notions, and embrace new possibilities. During a Virgo Full Moon, there’s a tendency to examine aspects of our lives and evaluate what’s working and what needs to be released. It’s a time to let go of what no longer serves us, whether it’s outdated habits, unhealthy relationships, or unproductive thought patterns.
