Always Remember That You Are Enough
You are enough. If only, as we grew up, we had heard more such words, even if there was an additional “… and yet strive for more”.
The fact is we were raised in a world where competition is prevalent; where our insecurities are often emphasized to us, or used as leverage (intentionally or otherwise); where our personal beliefs about ourselves potentially delays our soul evolution.
As partners in the Universe we say to ourselves, “Everything has a reason, we each have a soul purpose, all is in Divine Order.”
Yet, when a tragedy or life shattering moment hits, we are so intimately impacted that we have to dig deep to console ourselves and try to reframe that that tragedy has a Divine purpose, and that you have enough and are enough in that moment.
Perhaps such a life event is the loss of a family member, a loving relationship, job, pet, or a financial crisis, or any other life-changing event. Our faith in Divinity may keep us going, but it does not change the fact that we are deeply grieved by this loss.
Our ego will bring up all sorts of emotions, including anger, grief, betrayal, denial, hatred and many other emotions. You may espouse such things as, “Why them why not me” or “I feel cheated” and “How could this happen”.
In our Divine space, devoid of analytical ego, we know in our heart this experience is for our soul growth path and those closely connected with us, but that is still hard to face.
When Life Gets Hectic Find Your Way Back To Source
Whether it manifests in your body, feelings, or spiritual well-being, stress can really knock you off balance. Many of us are all too familiar with this. It sneaks in slowly, or rushes in like a storm. Suddenly, you’re exhausted, scattered, anxious, or just not feeling like yourself.
When this happens, it’s as if your inner compass has been thrown off. You forget what it feels like to be centered, calm, and connected. Fortunately, there’s a beautiful and simple way back to your “true north”: meditation.
Meditation is one of those practices that has stood the test of time for a reason. It doesn’t just help us handle stress better. It helps raise our energy and bring us back into balance.
And beyond that, it can offer us something truly magical: a direct experience of our connection to the unified field of intelligence. Some people call it the void. Others call it the Source, Spirit, or simply Presence. No matter what you call it, it’s that vast, peaceful space that holds everything together, and we’re already a part of it.
I’ve personally felt the difference meditation makes in my life. But I’ll be honest: these past few weeks have been a whirlwind. So much has been going on, and in the chaos, I missed my daily meditations. And wow, did I feel it.
When I don’t take the time to realign, everything feels just a little harder. Meditation helps me feel whole. It’s like a reset button for my body, mind, and spirit. Especially with the kind of energy work and spiritual focus I need in my daily life, I rely on it to keep me grounded and in tune.
Why You’re Absolutely Meant To Be Here!
Lately I’ve been hearing more cries for help from clients saying things like: “I really don’t want to be here anymore,” “No one will even miss me when I’m gone,” or “This world is not for me, I never belonged here anyway.”
This sense of despair seems to have increased in recent times. For many, there seems to be an overwhelming sense that the world is spinning out of control. More and more people are struggling with a deep sense of disconnection and hopelessness, triggered by the relentless pace of global upheaval and chaos.
Some also speak of a deep inner alienation — a quiet pain that comes from trying to reconcile their heartfelt values and dreams with a daily reality that feels cold, uncertain, cruel, and fragmented. They no longer see the compassion, unity, or progress they once believed in, and this leaves them questioning their place in the world, or if they even belong here.
It is a powerful reminder of the urgent need for the world’s lightworkers to rise — to hold space, to nurture hope, to foster connection, and to work toward a more compassionate and sustainable future.
I, for one, do not share this negative view regarding my place and purpose in this world, because about three decades ago I faced a serious illness that nearly ended my life. This traumatic chapter led me to a profound realization: we plan our lives before we incarnate, and we all absolutely belong here!
The Power Of Knowing Your ‘Why’
In a recent spiritual counseling session, I had the privilege of working with a woman who was facing a profound life challenge — stage 2 locally advanced colon cancer.
She spoke with a quiet resilience as she recounted her journey through chemotherapy before surgery, followed by four additional rounds of adjuvant chemotherapy.
There was little emotion in her words, but the weight of her experience was undeniable. It was a story of survival, perseverance, and the sheer will to move forward.
She then admitted that she longed to live a healthier lifestyle, but struggled with unhealthy eating habits. She had gained a significant amount of weight after her surgery, and despite her best intentions, she found it difficult to resist sweets and processed foods.
After hearing her story, I gently reminded her that I could not give her medical advice. Nor am I a nutritionist, and I advised her that professional guidance was essential for her dietary needs.
What I could offer, however, was a way to break the cycle of unhealthy habits. And I could help nurture her mind and emotions and guide her toward a life of greater wholeness and balance.
She lit up with hope. “That would be wonderful!” she exclaimed.
Protect Yourself From Toxic Emotional Influences
A client I read for once told me that he chose to be a loner because people always wanted something from him. “People either want money from me or they want to bend my ear with their problems,” he said. This statement struck a deep chord with me.
Over the years, I have noticed a significant increase in clients asking how to protect their energy. I find more people are becoming aware of how they are spiritually affected by others, especially those who bring negativity into their home or work environment.
I have had callers tell me how they come home from work exhausted – not from work, but from a toxic work environment. Even a simple telephone conversation can be draining if the person on the other end is met with an outpouring of worry, complaint, or anger. I dare not even mention the many toxic energy pitfalls of today’s dating scene!
I firmly believe that the influence of toxic energy on our systems is vastly underestimated in our daily lives. Our endocrine and nervous systems are particularly affected by our thoughts, actions, and interactions with others. A lack of emotional balance and a concern to avoid unnecessary toxic energy has undoubtedly become a priority.
Years ago in South Africa, I consulted a brilliant homeopath for what turned out to be an overactive thyroid. He diagnosed my condition using reflexology and his medical intuition. After the diagnosis, he said to me: “I’m going to give you some muti (a Zulu word for traditional medicine used in southern Africa). But until you sort out your emotional situation, it’s probably not going to make much difference.”
