Mediumship Messages From Dearly Departed Pets
When I connect with the souls of deceased pets, I find they are often very eager to let their humans know that they are doing perfectly fine, since their transition to spirit. This is especially true in cases where euthanasia was the last resort.
Pet owners tend to second-guess having to make such a decision, and they often hold on to a lot of guilt. We humans tend to over-think these matters. Was it the right thing to do?
I have also had instances where a pet left this world due to some random accident for which the owner feels responsible, even when they know on a rational level that they were powerless to have prevented the incident.
In mediumship readings the animals are always insistent in letting their beloved humans know that they are now in a good place, and doing well. They often also relay how, upon their arrival, they had been greeted or welcomed to the other side by the human’s departed loved ones and other pets.
Our animal friends will sometimes also come through with humorous evidence to validate that it is indeed them. For example, just last week a client contacted me about her beloved dog Hagrid, who had passed just four days prior. Mu schedule at the time did not allow me to read for her for a couple of days, but boy was Hagrid insistent that I give her some reassurance in the interim! He kept coming into my mind, no matter what I was busy with, and until I had delivered each message, he wasn’t going to let up.
For example, he kept showing me a bird bath, while telling me that it needs a much deeper cleaning. At first, I felt uneasy contacting my client with such an odd, frivolous message. She was already in so much grief, I certainly didn’t want to bother her with something that seemed so silly and irrelevant. For all I knew, she might live in an apartment and not even have a garden, let alone own a bird bath!
What Is It Like To Be Psychic?
I have been asked many time what it is like to be psychic? I have always felt this to be an odd question, because in my mind I am just an ordinary human being, the same as everyone else. We are all born with our own particular gifts and talents. Mine just happens to be a sixth sense.
Everyone of us is unique in our own special way. I just happen to have certain psychic abilities. I feel I was given these gifts to help people, to offer them insight and guidance from the spirit realm.
In the time of the European witch persecutions of the 16th century, and the American witch trials of the 17th century in Salem, people like me were often called ‘witches.’ At the time it was the only understanding people had as to why someone would know things they are not supposed not know.
Throughout human history people like me have been honored and appreciated, but also mocked, shunned and persecuted. People tend to fear what they do not understand, and it continues to this day. Many people remain skeptical of psychic and paranormal phenomena. To them it just cannot be real. I can assure you it is.
Many more people in the world actually have psychic abilities, but because it is so misunderstood, they just do not know it, or they simply choose not to recognize, accept, or use it. These gifted individuals ‘know’ or ‘sense’ things, but choose not to call themselves a ‘psychic.’
The Universal Language Of The Other Side
I have come across varying opinions, and even read a couple of books, claiming that a certain ‘language is spoken’ on the Other Side. But I have had a very different experience doing mediumship readings. In my experience there is no actual ‘language’ that is used for communication in the spirit realm. Instead, I experience it as what is best described as telepathic knowing.
In my work with spirit I have not personally encountered any sign of spoken language. In the spirit realm there is no attachment to language, dialect, culture, ethnicity, or nationality. Those aspects of human identity are an earthly concept.
On the Other Side, we communicate telepathically and empathically through pure consciousness, which in human terms translates to feelings, thoughts, sensory perceptions and mental imagery.
The souls we communicate with can read our mind. They know, for example, if you love music. So, they will communicate with you in songs, knowing it will reach your awareness more easily.
Often, in medium readings, I will smell a certain smell like, roses, pumpkin pie, and so on. The soul I am communicating with knows I am a vegetarian, so they always polite have me smell food that would not be offensive to me.
I smelled lemon once, and was shown lemonade. My client told me her grandmother was known for her lemon orchard and the lemonade she used to make. It was a special memory from her childhood.
We Are All Worthy Of Forgiveness
Sometimes my brokenhearted clients ask when the person they love will also hurt the way they have been hurt by them. They have been wounded, sometimes very deeply, and they so desperately want to know that the one who hurt them will also suffer in the end. Preferably, a lot!
They desire retribution for all the pain, suffering and deceit they have suffered due this person. There has to be some kind of justice. Isn’t there some form of karma, they will ask pleadingly.
Some spiritual teachings and belief systems suggest that our most emotionally challenging experiences in this lifetime occur as a result of life lessons we have agreed upon with other souls, before being born into this particular lifetime. This concept is known as our life plan, soul agreement or soul contract, among other.
These challenges can present themselves as blockages and patterns, that we aspire to finally recognize on a soul level and then to rise above – too often after repeating the same lessons many times over during this lifetime and others.
Yes, it makes sense to me that there is a profound lesson in harsh, life-changing experiences, but it’s not so easy to see it that way, and to believe it could be something we would have agreed to, especially when we hurt so badly now.
My Favorite Psychic Movies
Due to the nature of my work, I obviously love watching movies about psychics and the paranormal. Although there aren’t a lot of really good psychic movies out there, I do have a few firm favorites. Next time you are looking for an inspiring movie about psychic phenomena or the supernatural, see if you can find one of the following psychic classics on your favorite streaming service.
The Dead Zone (1983)
Based on a Stephen King novel, this movie follows the life of a school teacher who awakens with psychic powers, after falling into a coma. The film stars Christopher Walken as a reluctant psychic, who hesitates to use his powers, which I think is common for many psychics when we first discover our abilities. Once he finally decides to use his gifts, amazing things start to happen!
Ghost (1990)
Many people are familiar with this film. It was one of the most financially successful films of the 90’s. Personally, I love it so much that I could just watch it over and over again! The all-star cast features Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg as a highly eccentric psychic. Romantic, funny and uplifting, this is one of my favorite movies about a reluctant psychic medium who is able to connect with spirit on the Other Side.
‘Space Clearing’ Is Actually Rescue Work
In my earlier days of doing psychic mediumship work, I used to get many requests from homeowners and businesses, requesting that I do a space clearing in their premises. Typically, these clients would complain about strange things happening onsite and disturbances by unwanted spirits, which negatively impacted their daily activities or lifestyle. Some people would refer to this work using terms like ‘ghosthunting,’ but prefer to call it ‘rescue’ work.
When someone passes, they can either go to the Light, back to the realm of Spirit, or they can remain in the Earth plane dimension. Sometimes a person dies suddenly, from a murder, for instance, or in a robbery or some other controversial way where they were somehow wronged. Their spirit may then choose to remain here, in some attempt to claim justice. They may also choose to remain here because they don’t feel a sense of completeness with this life. Or sometimes they are simply just confused.
‘Clearing out’ the spirits disturbing the occupants of a home or business premises, has taught me the most about death, and what really happens when we die and leave our physical body. For instance, one time I was clearing a pretty large antique furniture store. As I made my way through the shop, I asked the owner who Norma was? She was sitting in one of the antique rocking chairs in the front corner, and she was scaring people away.
Healing The Pain Of Losing Your Beloved
Understanding the true nature of our soul journey, how does one cope with the pain of physical separation when our loved ones leave the physical form? There is no easy way to cope with the grief of separation from a beloved. It opens the water ways of deep emotion that rise and fall like the waves on the sea.
Even in the super-excellent times of Radha and Krishna, the supreme divine feminine and masculine described in the ancient spiritual texts of Srimad-Bhagavatam, waves of love in separation were displayed and described to the ultimate pure degree. These transcendental writings identifies the eternal realm of divine love as the original clear source of all that we experience here in a dimly reflected form, including the pain of being parted from the physical presence of a dear soulmate.
So, what can we learn from this source that we can mirror in undergoing this heart aching distress in our own lives?
The first lesson we can take away from the transcendental example is that pain in separation is a gift of love. It arises in direct proportion to the depth of the soul-to-soul connection shared between two people. Thus, every pang, however painful, is like an ornament decorating the heart with the truth of that blessed union. It embodies a reminder not only of the person, but of the great treasure we were fortunate to hold in our arms…and still in our hearts.
