What is spiritual serenity, and how does one get to such an enlightened place? I’ve put forth this question many times throughout my life, and I’ve also had it asked of me. People hear what I do for a living and they immediately assume I walk around chanting Buddhist chants, or waving sage throughout my sacred space 24 hours a day. If only!
I don’t have the answers any more than the next person does. There are some things I have learned and seen, as I am sure I have yet more to learn and see. It is an endless cycle of not knowing and then knowing, the same cycle we all go through. The same lessons. It is only in how we apply them that we become different. We grow differently and start to use parts of ourselves that perhaps someone else, who is growing ‘at their own pace’ may not be using yet. And that is okay. Read the rest of this entry »
We never push. We never force. Our wish is never to overwhelm. So, if you are feeling any of these emotions during the current energy explosion, ask your spiritual council, your ascended masters, and your angels, to slow down.
We would like you to imagine a gauge within your mind. A gauge that you have full, total and complete control over. This gauge you can either turn up, if you wish to experience more, or you can turn down if you are feeling overwhelmed or that things are going too fast. Too much change may be occurring for you to be able to keep up with. Or you can simply fine-tune the gauge like a radio tuning in to your favorite station. Read the rest of this entry »
‘Forgettery’ is a game we all engage in from time to time. We see this game played out in relationship dramas, career concerns, or even just in a sense of generalized anxiety. It occurs when we forget who we really are, and find ourselves out of alignment with our Soul.
It can manifest in feelings of not being enough – a victim, not smart enough, being broken, or disconnected and separate from others. In my daily Tarot card draws, it often comes up for me as the Star card reversed, or maybe the Eight, or Nine of Swords.
So what happens when we find ourselves here? The first step out is to recognize what is happening. Once we can acknowledge this ‘not-so-good’ feeling, we can sit with it for a while and then recognize that this feeling is coming from our thoughts… and thoughts can be changed. We are deserving and worthy of everything we desire. Why not? We can heal this. Read the rest of this entry »
September is a month of endings and beginnings. It’s the end of Summer, beginning of Fall, and the start of a new school year for many. This month is a time to clear out the old, prepare for a new cycle and improve areas of your life that may feel ‘stuck.’
In Numerology, September is a number 9 month, which is all about transmutation and transformation. Historically, in the Roman calendar, it was the 7th month.
September comes from the Latin root septem, which translates to 7. This number carries strong spiritual undertones, encouraging us to get more in tune with ourselves, and for finding more purpose in the world. Read the rest of this entry »
If you’ve been feeling stuck, depressed, or just in need of change, tap into the power of Feng Shui. This ancient Chinese art, of arranging the home for maximum energetic potential, is easier than you think to apply in your everyday life.
The best way to start is to create routines and rituals for yourself. Everything in the natural world exists according to a series of daily patterns or routines, and we are no different! Take time each day to meditate, incorporate gentle physical activity such as a walk or yoga, sit down and eat mindfully at each meal. It’s also crucial to create a sacred space to escape from the stresses and sensory input of the modern world.
Are you the kind of person who finds it difficult to start things? Make a dream board filled with visual representations of your hopes, dreams, and aspirations, then place it where you can see it multiple times a day. Read the rest of this entry »
I am very much into how our thoughts and feelings help create our future. However, it needs to be asked what external factors affect those thoughts and feelings in the first place, such as our environment, for example. Therefore, the ‘Queen of Clutter’ (that being myself) would like to discuss how Feng Shui could help you attract better fortune into your life. Feng Shui is an ancient art from China, which involves balancing energies in any particular place. Here is how you can do it.
Begin With The Bagua
A bagua map (also called pakua) consists of nine squares, each one symbolizing an essential part of a balanced life. This map can be used in any room in your house, as a guide to finding the right area for positioning things. Read the rest of this entry »
The practice of meditation is tremendously powerful and has impacts on both our spiritual and physical well-being, as well as our reality. Creating a routine meditation practice can help to supercharge your ability to manifest your desires. It also has incredible health benefits and, believe it or not, it can actually be a fun experience!
The idea that you have to be able to completely clear your mind of thoughts to successfully meditate is probably one of the most common misconceptions. This is only one form of meditation and, honestly, it’s quite challenging. For someone who has never meditated before, it would be like giving a kindergarten student a complicated math equation to solve.
As with anything, it takes some time to learn the technique and train your brain to comply with your spirit. The first thing you must understand is, you are not your brain or your thoughts. You are not your body, or your emotions. These are all things you experience. You experience the thoughts in your mind, you experience the sensations of the body and of emotions, but these things are not you. Read the rest of this entry »
I recently came across an article about spiritual seekers who travel to distant lands to achieve such a state of bliss and inner peace. But in my experience you really don’t have to go all the way to some exotic destination to achieve a higher state of consciousness.
When I am alone, I often find myself in a state of complete and utter bliss. When I am by myself, my energy is my own. I feel centered and complete, as if on my own little retreat. I have always felt this way and I savor the quiet moments of my day.
With a willing heart to carve out some time in your busy day, you can center yourself by being mindful and allowing your thoughts to simply come and go. Simply take a moment of solitude and go with the flow. Read the rest of this entry »
