Why Astral Projection Is A Popular Psychic Practice
Years ago, my best friend told me that she was having what she described as “floating experiences.” She said that, as she was winding down for the night in bed, she would suddenly feel as though her spirit were drifting above her body. She was really unsettled by this at the time, because she was not trying to make it happen, nor did she feel in control of it.
At the time, I was deeply involved in psychic development. I spent my evenings buried in books, engaged in discussions, and exploring various spiritual practices.
The moment she described her experiences, I knew exactly what she was talking about. I realized she was describing astral travel. It was nothing new to me, as I had been practicing it myself for quite some time.
Astral travel is the experience of your mental awareness, or your “conscious self,” separating from your physical body and exploring other realms of existence. It’s the experience of your inner being, your soul or spirit, moving beyond the limits of time and space and the restrictions of the material world.
Once you “leave” your physical body, earthly rules no longer apply. Gravity and distance as we know it no longer apply. Some travelers report visiting faraway places on Earth, while others explore entirely different realms or even other planets. For many, this experience proves that we are more than flesh and bone. We are souls with vast potential.
Align Your Mind With The Life You Desire
We attract into our life what we expect. When parents, friends, peers, and most importantly, your own self-talk tell you that you are not good enough, smart enough, or attractive enough, and you choose to believe it, then it becomes your reality.
Repeating these messages to your subconscious mind reinforces this belief until it ultimately manifests as reality in your life. The subconscious mind accepts everything it hears as true. It does not distinguish between what is objectively true and what has merely been repeated often enough.
Self-talk, whether supportive or filled with doubt, is internalized in the same way. The subconscious mind is like an eager child: receptive to all input, particularly messages received consistently and frequently. It listens and learns without judgment, simply absorbing and accepting.
This is why it can be so challenging to differentiate between genuine inner truth and a false belief formed from repeated external messages, such as television content, stories shared by others, or even our own inner dialogue.
For example, you might fall asleep while watching a joyful, lighthearted program. Then, a horrific war documentary comes on. Even though you are no longer consciously watching, your subconscious mind continues to absorb the information. Those unsettling images and emotions may then weave their way into your dreams, shaping new fears and anxieties despite their origin in fiction or someone else’s story.
A Beginner’s Guide To Astral Projection
Every spiritual tradition speaks of a world beyond our own — an ethereal realm that exists just beyond the veil of the physical senses. Whether it’s Nirvana in Buddhism, Asgard in Norse mythology, or the Elysian Fields of the ancient Greeks, these higher dimensions are seen as places of transcendence and divinity.
Traditionally, such realms are associated with the afterlife, but that’s only part of the story. The truth is that we don’t have to die to access them. These higher planes of existence can be explored while we are still very much alive.
While mystics, shamans, and seers have spoken of these realms for millennia, modern science, particularly in the fields of quantum theory and consciousness studies, is beginning to acknowledge the possibility of multiple dimensions, parallel realities, and alternate timelines. Phenomena such as déjà vu or lucid dreaming, for example, may be brief collisions between timelines or conscious overlaps with other dimensions where versions of ourselves already exist.
So how do we consciously access these mystical realms? The practice of astral projection — also known as astral travel, out-of-body experiences, or lucid voyaging — is one way to do just that.
The idea of consciously traveling beyond the physical body has appeared in various cultures and spiritual traditions throughout history. Although interpretations vary, many civilizations have incorporated the concept into their myths, religious practices, and mystical philosophies.
Balance Your Mind With Crystal Energy
The human brain is a dual force, with the left and right hemispheres complementing each other to create a balanced mind.
Each side of the brain brings its own gifts to the whole, working together to shape our unique perceptions and experiences.
The left brain is known for its logical, structured, and analytical approach to processing information, excelling in tasks like reasoning, mathematics, and language.
In contrast, the right brain is more intuitive, imaginative, and emotionally expressive, fueling creativity, visual thinking, and spiritual insight.
This division of cognitive function influences how we think, solve problems, and interact with the world, both internally and externally.
In the realm of energy work and healing, various crystals and stones support and enhance the natural strengths of each brain hemisphere, promoting overall mental and emotional harmony and balance.
Whether you are seeking increased focus for problem solving or a boost in artistic expression, the right combination of crystals can support a harmonious mind that fosters both intellectual and creative growth.
By setting clear intentions and using the appropriate crystals and stones regularly, you can harness their energies to align both hemispheres of the brain and promote an integrated approach to life.
In this sacred balance, the mind and soul find unity, creating a deeper sense of wholeness and fulfillment—a fusion of logic and intuition, structure and flow, thought and feeling.
The Ripple Effect Of Radiating Good Vibes!
There have been times when leaving home on a miserable day has felt like a major challenge for me as an empath. However, after completing my errands, I often find myself unexpectedly uplifted, simply by the energy of the people and places I encounter.
Recently, while shopping for a new journal, one particular notebook caught my eye because of the title printed on the cover: Good Vibes. I ended up going back to add it to my cart because those two simple words stuck with me. Some good vibrations are certainly always welcome in today’s chaotic world!
In this particular store, the staff is incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile and a warm greeting. Even the people stocking the shelves take a moment to acknowledge customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere. These small, everyday interactions are still commonplace in the small town where I live in Spain, and long may they continue!
The little notebook and this friendly exchange reminded me that “good vibes” is not just a phrase on a cover, but a very real force that shapes our daily experiences.
As I was driving home thinking about this, I noticed a gentleman who was busy smoothing out some gravel on the country road. He had stopped to have a conversation with the person in the car in front of me.
As I was about to go around them, he said goodbye to the person he was talking to and approached me. My first thought was that he was trying to warn me of a problem on the road ahead or maybe point out a problem with my car. It was drizzling and damp and he was soaked, but when I rolled down my window he just smiled and asked how I was doing.
