Taking ‘The Next Step’ In A Psychic Reading
A variety of life questions can motivate someone to call a psychic or medium for a reading. It is often a situation that has arisen in a relationship, or maybe a work issue, their financial outlook, or maybe even getting some help interpreting a dream or synchronistic event. And sometimes their question is very unusual, or even unique.
Whatever the reason is that originally prompts you to call a reputable psychic for a reading, you will usually have your questions answered, or resolved. But it typically does not end there. Once the basic question has been addressed, you will usually find that spirit then opens up an invitation for deeper exploration, for you to see more clearly why this issue may have occurred and what opportunity, gift or lesson awaits you underneath the reason for the call. I call this second phase of the reading ‘the next step,’ and its purpose is typically spiritual guidance and personal growth.
The range of psychics, and their unique services and specialties, are endless. Psychics, mediums, intuitive, empaths, diviners, cartomancers (Tarot), spiritual life coaches, healers, channelers, and so on. And each have their unique way of seeing into your life, gaining insight into what is happening, and then offering their interpretation and guidance.
Knowing what’s ahead on their path, and how to best handle it, is the biggest reason people reach out to readers! Psychics can also identify repeat patterns, as we can often see backward (retrocognition) and forward (precognition) in time, and can tell if what’s occurring in your life has happened before, or if it is likely to happen again.
The Pursuit Of Spiritual Healing
Energy healing can takes many forms: physical healing of the body; emotional healing of the heart, mental healing, and soul healing. But ultimately the best form of spiritual healing is holistic healing of the body, heart, mind, and soul.
The nature of a healing session will usually be determined by the healer. The individual may suggest the type of healing they wish to receive, but reputable healers will typically suggest or recommend the best strategy, depending on what they see is most needed. A good healer will assess the situation and determine the best way to proceed with the healing, and which methods to use.
There are basically three categories of energy or spiritual healing: hands-on, hands-free and distance healing. The methods may include chakra alignment, Reiki, meditation, prayer, visualization, acupuncture, psychic reading and intuitive guidance, bodywork, touch therapies, breathwork, pranic healing, shamanic rituals, soul retrieval and soul rescue, shadow work, inner child healing, and past life regression, to name but a few.
Whatever method or technique we choose, one needs to be certain it is suitable for the individual. No single path leads everyone through the process of healing. We need to be sure that we start them on a path along which we they will be able to continue and complete. It does help if the individual that we are working on is open to the process. As healers we must ensure that our clients are in the right head space, and openness is key to having the best from the healing process.
Love Is The Healing Force
I grew up in a Christian family. In fact, it was going to seminary, and exploring world religions, that eventually led me to practice metaphysics and intuitive consulting as a full-time profession. Being trained and ordained in a Christian organization has also given me a unique perspective on alternative spirituality and metaphysics.
Jesus is, in fact, one of the spiritual guides I connect with when I work with people. This has made me realize that Jesus, the central figure in Christianity, is often misunderstood by many people. In the many years of connecting with Jesus, I am confident that he never had the intention to create a formal, organized religion. In fact, often the religious attributes attached to Jesus are far more complex than his original core message.
Jesus taught very simple strategies for life. I think sometimes these strategies are considered too simple by some people. When asked, Jesus was able to sum up his teachings in three simple statements. Someone inquired about an authentic spiritual path and Jesus gave two commandments and then gave a third statement, “In these two commandments rest all of the law and the prophets.”
This third statement is quite profound. He was stating that every spiritual text that had ever been written, or would ever be written, could be summed up in two commandments. This means that in Jesus’ perspective, if a person simply abided by these two commandments, they would be fulfilling the fundamental guidelines associated with religious and spiritual practice.
If you are interested in Jesus’ teachings, or interested in following the path he taught, then the good news is that you are already following the second ‘commandment.’ I have been living on this planet long enough to recognize that every person is already following this second commandment, which says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
A Treasure In Every Intuition
Living a life tuned into God’s grace, through my intuition, never ceases to amaze me. It is ever-adventurous – never old, dull, or flat. Why is it so exciting and fresh to me? Because every moment is in the moment. Each sign, sense, and gift is unique, individual, and reciprocal. At every step there is potential to experience the unexpected – something magical, mystical, miraculous, unpredictable.
Unpredictable? Isn’t that what psychic ability is all about – being able to see and predict the future? Not necessarily. Intuitive gifts come in many diverse shapes and forms – as many as there are people. Some have the ability to foresee things before they happen, but not all psychics receive such predictive vision, and even those who do, aren’t necessarily shown all things, in all detail, all the time. It is a gift, up to the Source and Supreme Gift Giver to grant.
What makes an intuitive life richly rewarding, and conducive for helping others, is the openness to receive and transmit what is divinely placed in one’s awareness, beyond the ordinary range of sense perception. Every genuine reader has something beautiful and meaningful to offer. As there is a multi-dimensional reality, so are there a multitude of angles from which truth may be revealed to one’s intuitive sense of sight, sound, and touch.
Consulting with too many different readers can produce confusion, due to variations in the information received. Most often, however, these differences can be reconciled with deeper, discerning insight to understand how they weave together, to create an enriched texture of awareness of the many layers, sides, and subtleties of a subject.
Psychic Connections
I first noticed my psychic sensitivity when I was a little girl, probably as young as three or four years old. I remember getting sick and looking at individuals, that were either family or friends, out of the corner of my eye with a knowingness that my illness was coming from them – although I experienced the symptoms first. I remember cringing at the knowledge that in a day or two they wouldn’t be feeling well. Yet, for some reason, that I don’t quite understand to this day, I didn’t feel I could tell anyone.
I was raised by my grandparents on a farm that was five miles out in the country. We were as close as a family could be. In fact, I feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced such a loving, nurturing childhood. Yet, although I felt I could tell my grandparents anything, and they would be supportive, for some strange reason I felt I couldn’t tell them about my psychic awareness. Perhaps, it was because no one talked about unusual things like that, so I was embarrassed, not realizing at the time that it was indeed a gift. Yet, I don’t recall ever feeling frightened or anxious. Mostly, it simply felt confusing.
As the years went by, more and more incidences happened to me that didn’t seem to be regular occurrences for others, but I still wasn’t quite sure. I remember thinking that perhaps they were having the same kinds of experiences, but were also not comfortable with telling others, just like me. In any case, again, I felt reticent to mention it to anyone.
Why Take A Psychic Development Class?
I am planning to take another psychic development class this May, as well as teach a similar class in the same month. But why would I need to take such a class, while I am already working as a professional psychic medium?
The answer is simple: if I learn one new thing from another spiritual teacher, that can be passed along for the benefit of my clients, it is definitely worth my time and effort. And, of course, some of us simply enjoy being lifelong students!
It doesn’t matter the length of time a person has been a professional. A little tune-up is always a good thing. Taking lots of different classes usually boost a person’s confidence.
Yes, I do believe you can teach ‘old dogs new tricks.’ It is always nice to meet new colleagues in the metaphysical field and have inspiring discussions on ways to improve the standards and professionalism of our work.
Whenever my daily work becomes a little lackluster, I always know it’s time to ‘get out of the water’ and take a class or attend a seminar or workshop. It keeps me excited about the work I do. It is great when you learn a new technique or method that can improve your service to others.
Professional psychic mediums always want to better the level of their work. Yes, no matter how ‘good’ one is, there is always another level to reach. Always looking for a way to validate evidence from spirit and confirm that indeed life goes on after our spirit leaves the physical body.
Prophecy, Free Will And The Laws Of Probability
Psychics, mediums, intuitives and diviners all have their own abilities, talents, skills and unique style in which they work. Be that as it may, we are all still working within the parameters of Quantum Physics and the Laws of Probability. That means the spiritual or metaphysical answers we seek for our physical existence all exist within a tight, coupled framework of probabilities. And it is neither prophetic, nor deterministic in nature.
As a former microchip designer, I was taught if you cannot see it, measure it, and repeat it, then it cannot exist. As an intuitive reader, I know from personal experience this is not entirely true. The unseen realm is an incredible resource with a wealth of information, which we can access to support us. And things are never as they seem.
So, why should we be cognizant of the influence of probabilities, or free will? Well, because they determine the important outcomes in our lives. Probabilities, in my view, is the basic mechanics of the Universe. I toss a coin. Probability of it landing heads is 50%, and landing tails is 50%. As we increase the number of factors (or possibilities) the probability may reduce. For example, winning the typical lottery jackpot has a probability of one in millions. Mathematics provides that figure.
On top of this, the probability result is not reached until we observe (or witness) the event. What we witness can also, in effect ‘change’ the outcome. This is a difficult thing to comprehend for the layman. For example, a psychic reader’s client wishes to understand if they should leave their job. Maybe they are fighting with their boss, feeling undervalued, or feeling bored. The initial response is no, and yet Spirit offers more detail around the work environment.
