Embracing Scorpio Season

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comStarting today, October 23rd until November 22nd, the Sun will be transiting Scorpio, which is the best time to increase your spiritual awareness and heightening your psychic abilities. The ‘veil’ between the living and the departed becomes ‘thinner’ during this time, and important messages are transmitted at this time through dreams, magic and meditation.

People and situations who are a hindrance to your personal growth and spiritual expansion, are often revealed and removed during Scorpio season, but only if one is willing to go beyond the surface and see something for what it really is.

The scorpion can creep up on its enemy and silence it with one quick hit from its poisonous tail. Scorpios are often a few steps ahead of everyone else, and are some of those most brilliant artists, performer, healers, and teachers, as well as very loyal friends… as long as you stay on their good side!

They are often feared, or envied by others, especially because they always insist on the truth, and easily recognize deception, insincerity and a lack of authenticity in others.

The mythical phoenix is also associated with this zodiac sign, because it signifies the death and rebirth of the self, in order to to transform the soul and become the best version of who you really are.

Regardless of your sun sign, the current transit through Scorpio is inviting you to release the old, so you can achieve increased self-love, and gain the understanding of what needs to be done in order to move forward. It can be emotional and painful, but worth the sacrifice in the long run.

When Your Sun Is In Libra

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comA couple of weeks ago, on September 23rd, we saw the annual end of Summer, and beginning to the Libra season. When the Sun enters the cardinal sign of Libra, the Autumn Equinox begins in the Northern Hemisphere. From that point on, until the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn, we enjoy the Fall season.

In honor of the Libra season, I am exploring in this blog post an astrological breakdown of individuals born with their Sun in Libra. These summaries can also be applied to a certain extent to the charts of those who has Libra rising, as well as their Moon in Libra. If you, or a friend or romantic partner, happen to fall within these categories, you may find this analysis enlightening. Keep in mind that these analyses do not take into consideration the unique conditions of your natal chart.

Sun In Libra Woman

Libra women adore balance, and they seek it in all areas of their lives. Any little upset will garner her full focus, and she will zoom in on whatever is throwing things off. She may seize upon the drama, or obsess in conversation, or try with all her might to fix the error.

She will be utterly concerned with how you feel, even if she doesn’t know you. If she determines that she dislikes you, she will still care just as much, but in a negative sense.

Libra women tend to be vain, and they often prefer to have long hair. You won’t find many Libras who don’t take the time to keep up their appearance. Perhaps Libras are invested in the external world, because the internal can become so chaotic.

The Magical Energy Of The Moon

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comThe Moon has a powerful influence on our lives. Not only does it determine the tides of the ocean and how plants grow, but you may have noticed it also affects our mood! Connecting to the powerful phases of the Moon can bring enlightenment to your life by way of the moon’s cycles and movement. It can shape our lives and the choices we make. Being in tune with the Moon’s powerful energy can bring you greater awareness of body, mind and soul.

Depending how the Sun, Moon and Earth align on a particular day, only a part of the Moon is usually visible to us. The tracking of the Moon’s phases goes back thousands of year in various spiritual traditions and cultural customs. Traditionally, the New Moon is considered to be the start of the month and a good time to start anew. And the Full Moon is seen as a time of celebration, delight, and mystery.

A Full Moon occurs every 29.5 days, when the Earth is situated directly between the Sun and the Moon, making it appear to us on Earth as a complete circle… illuminated and breathtaking! Native Americans relied on the Moon to guide them in daily life. They gave symbolic names for each of the Full Moons, based on the unique events of each particular month of the year.

January – Wolf Moon

The January Moon is thus named due to the cold, snowy winters, when wolves would howl hungrily outside tribal villages, looking for food. January’s Full Moon is also known as ‘Old Moon’ and ‘Ice Moon.’

February – Snow Moon

February’s Full Moon is named for the abundant snow that usually occurs during the month. The snow made it hard to hunt, and food in the winter was scarce. Therefore it is also known as the ‘Hunger Moon.’

The Mythical Mysteries Of Crows And Ravens

click for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comCrows and ravens are common in the superstitions of both the ancient Greeks and Romans. Both cultures considered these mysterious birds highly significant in the practice of augury, an ancient divination practice of interpreting omens or prophecies from the observed flight patterns of birds.

In the Greco-Roman world, the soothsayers, known as augers would predict future events by examining the behavior of birds, which was known as ‘taking the auspices.’ Crows and ravens were considered especially significant, both for their ominous black feathers, as well as their flight patterns and eerie behavior.  It was believed that if a crow or raven flew in from the east or south, for example. It was considered an omen of good, positive fortune.

Ravens and crows mythology is also found in the native cultures of North America. In addition to being portrayed as tricksters, the intelligence of these birds is often a prominent feature in their characterization. In one Native American story, the raven is described as a shapeshifter who stole a box of light owned by the chief of Heaven, and flew away with it. The raven dropped the box, and light broke into many pieces, creating the stars, the Moon, and the Sun.

Entering The Lions Gate

click for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWe are fast approaching the metaphysically significant date of 8/8 this month – a day that is known as The Lions Gate. This is an excellent time to take a look a look at what meaningful events have occurred in your life over the last year, as well as any wounds that may have been triggered for us.

The Lions Gate is a time of alignment of the Earth, the star Sirius, and the galactic center. As Sirius rises in the sky, Orion’s Belt directly aligns with the Pyramid of Giza.  The alignment is called Lions Gate, because it occurs when the Sun is in the astrological sign of Leo.

Sirius is known as our ‘Spiritual Sun.’ We are constantly bathed in the cosmic rays generated by the Sirius system, which includes Sirius A, the larger star, and its binary twin, the dwarf star, known as Sirius B.

The ancient Egyptians celebrated the New Year at this time of Sirius’s heliacal rise, or first appearance on the Eastern horizon just before sunrise. This was also the time of year when the Nile River would flood, bringing life and fertility to the fields. It is interesting to note that the ancient Egyptians somehow knew of the existence of the dwarf star, Sirius B, despite the fact that it is not visible to the naked eye.

Around July 6, Sirius is conjunct to our Sun, starting a phase of its closest proximity to our solar system, and there is upswing in the cosmic rays which infuse us with photon light energy, light codes and divine wisdom. These cosmic rays, with all its spiritual information and activations, are automatically received by all life on Earth, as well as the planet herself.

Uranus In Taurus – What to Expect

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comUranus, the heavy-hitting planet ruling chaos, innovation, New Age, technology, and genius, among other things, entered the stabilizing, sensual, material and money-oriented sign of Taurus in March this year. Uranus will remain in Taurus for approximately seven years, and will undoubtedly leave a mark in its wake.

How will this affect us? Since Uranus typically makes waves, and Taurus governs earthly concerns, such as money and the sensual world, I expect most obviously that we will see big changes in the world market and financial matters. We could see a change in currencies, and we might see technology becoming even more meaningful, in terms of our everyday commerce and exchange.

Since Uranus rules technology and Taurus the senses, we may find that people are discovering and inventing ways to experience the senses through technology, perhaps through virtual reality. Uranus rules airplanes and space travel, and therefore we may see the world develop a deeper investment in outer space territories, perhaps even establishing some sort of ‘new earth base in space,’ or something of that nature.

For individuals, Uranus in Taurus means different things, depending on how it aspects the planets in one’s unique chart. During its seven year transit, Uranus in Taurus will most significantly impact the Sun Signs of Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, Aquarius, Leo, and Scorpio. When and how this impact occurs will depend on when you were born, and the specific time period that the transit is most sensitive to your Sun location.
