Love, Lust, Or Infatuation? How To Tell The Difference
When you develop intense feelings for someone, it can be hard to tell if you’re experiencing lust, infatuation, or the beginning of genuine, lasting love. All three feelings can be powerful and overwhelming, but they are very different.
These energies often manifest similarly at first: your heart races, you get butterflies, you can’t eat or sleep, and you find yourself daydreaming constantly. Not to mention the dizzy excitement you feel when you see his name pop up on your phone!
However, love, lust, and infatuation are not the same from a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual perspective.
Infatuation can hit like lightning. One day, you’re going about your life, and the next, someone catches your eye. Suddenly, you can’t stop thinking about them. It feels exciting — like something big is happening, like fate.
Infatuation is highly emotional, and if left unchecked, it can become an unhealthy obsession with someone. You idealize them and ignore their flaws. Although it can feel a lot like love, it lacks depth and stability.
It’s easy to get caught up in the rush. But that high doesn’t always last. Infatuation can fade as quickly as it began, especially when you start to see the real person behind the sparkly image.
Often, infatuation appears when we’re in a state of desperation. Maybe we’re feeling lonely or want to be loved so badly that we project all our hopes onto someone else. We might think, “This person will complete me,” or “Everything will be better once we’re together.”
How She Found Her Way Back

In contrast, the remaining 56 cards — known as the Minor Arcana — deal more with the day-to-day. They are divided into four suits representing the elements (Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands) and include numbered cards and Court Cards, often called the “people cards.” When many Minor Arcana cards show up, the reading tends to focus on practical matters, offering insight and advice for navigating everyday challenges and choices.

The Joy And Wisdom Of The Hummingbird
Mother Nature is a wonderful place to retreat to when we are seeking clarity, inner peace and a return to balance. This is especially true when we have the opportunity to watch animals in the wild.
Each animal, bird, insect and living creature affords us a special magic or spiritual wisdom, which it carries to remind us of a part of our own spiritual being.
Birds in particular carry wisdom from a higher perspective. One such bird is the mystical hummingbird. The energy of the hummingbird first emerged in my artwork in 2016, when he appeared in a painting I titled Grace.
When the hummingbird first appeared in my artwork, he came as a sign or symbol of hope and joy. He appeared on the path of the angel in this artwork, and he has since appeared in numerous of my sketches and paintings.
Hummingbird may be tiny, but he is mighty in so many ways. His medicine or spiritual symbolism reminds us of our true spiritual nature and our ability to experience personal transformation, by transcending our burdens and finding freedom in expressing who we are as individuals.
Just as the hummingbird suspends himself in flight, to reach for the nectar of the flower, when we hold true to our own values, our experiences are in alignment with the desires of our own hearts. We are then open to experience the sweet nectar of life. The nectar of life is contentment, inner peace, being valued, and the ability to find fulfillment. It is the feeling of joy!
Tuning Into Spirit Guidance With A Pendulum
The pendulum is a simple yet powerful psychic tool that can greatly enhance spiritual growth and intuitive development — when used with pure intention and in alignment with the highest good of all.
In my experience, anyone can dowse using a pendulum. It doesn’t require any special skills or training — just a willingness to be open, to trust, and to practice.
