Have you ever felt so good that not even the most negative person you encounter can ruin your day? That is the type of energy you need to envelope yourself in to be a magnet for attracting love and all that is positive into your life.

I have known some very sad individuals, who constantly get nowhere in life because they seem to be perpetually negative and assuming the worst. Whatever they look at or hear, they always put a negative spin on it – whatever it may be.

These negative people are to me a type of ‘energy vampire.’ They try to bring you down to their level so that they can feel better. If you are protected, however, you can remain in balance and alignment spiritually and emotionally. You can empower yourself on all levels, so that you essentially have an invisible, but very powerful shield of protection around you. This way you can deflect their negative energy. It goes right back to the sender, or the one who is trying to drop their ‘poison’ on you. Psychic attack is often launched against others out of an unconscious, or conscious desire to demean or sabotage the other person. This urge to harm another often stems from willful misinformation.

Sometimes people who consider themselves to be a superior professional in their field, may develop a misinformed opinion, deliberate or otherwise, of another person with whom they work. Instead of being honest and speaking directly to this person they think so little of, or bothering to get to know them, they make assumptions. Instead of resolving the issue by communicating directly, they begin to indulge in frequent negative thoughts about the other person.

These negative, harmful thoughts go out into the universe in the form of dark energy and ‘attacks’ the psyche of the other person who these thoughts have been focused on. The system of help from spirit guides, while always being improved and corrected, is an ancient one and even in our world is well-recognized, and now quite advanced. Spirit guides need to be well-trained and are required to have lived in our material world, before undergoing a great deal of training in the spirit world, in order to be allowed to work as guides.

There are many forms that guidance can take and spirit guides become specialists in their field, before moving on to new experiences and new levels in the spirit world.

The Doorkeeper Guide is very seldom sensed by the individual, because they are chosen as a result of their almost perfect match to the individual. I use stones to change the mood in a room, to enhance a spell, to retain information, to direct energy, to shift patterns. The ways to use stones are as many as there are stones. You can use just one, or a combination to get just the right results. You can put them on a charm bracelet, in a bowl, on the coffee table. One time I wire-wrapped 30 of them and hung them from a foot high Yule tree in my tiny studio apartment.

While I was learning how to use stones I hit a tough time in my life. One night I decided to go out with some friends, and on my way out I grabbed a stone from the table. I didn’t know why, I didn’t ask. I just took one.

During the evening I felt what I can only describe now as a ‘shift in balance’. When I got home I was listening to my answering machine and got to a message from someone I had just disconnected from. When I counted back the time, I realized he made that call when I felt the shift, and the stone I grabbed was a star ruby, which is useful in psychic protection! It is very important to always be aware of the energies swirling all around us. There are psychic vampires out there; there are people who will suck your energy dry if they can. Those of us that have learned to be open, and tune in to what others are feeling and thinking, can easily become victims of psychic attack.

It’s so important to practice psychic self-defense. One way to do this is to ask for your spiritual strength and psychic abilities to be deepened, so that the negative energy of others doesn’t hurt your mind, body and spirit.

Citrine, meaning “Lemon” in French, is a quartz crystal. Natural Citrine is pale yellow, to golden, to orange-brown, and often referred to as the “Merchant Stone”. Citrine is associated with the Sun, success and abundance. I call it my “prosperity enhancing aid”.

Citrine can be found in Brazil, Argentina, Burma, Madagascar, Scotland, Spain, Russia and Namibia, and long ago amongst certain cultures, Citrine was carried for protection against evil thoughts, and even snake venom.

There are times when our dream life seems to be super active, and yet at other times not so much. I’ve found there to be a direct correlation between how much a person ‘participates’ in their own life and how active their dreams can be. In other words, we must make our own dreams happen in this life!

There are dreams that foretell the future, and you are really lucky if you have these types of dreams. If you trust your intuition they can be especially powerful, because you can use the knowledge shown to you in such dreams to your advantage, or at least for your protection.  These dreams sometimes also give the dreamer a time frame for when something is supposed to happen. Then there are dreams that are more symbolic. These dreams represent something happening in our lives, or the lives of someone close to us. I used to get rather uptight about whether or not I was dedicating enough preparation time prior to seeing clients, both for psychic readings and energy healing sessions. That was until I visited a well-known elderly spiritualist, who lives in the countryside outside of Johannesburg, South Africa.

His words to me were, “You work with those on the other side, just like I do, but I feel you fret and think the preparation needs to be a lengthy process”. He was right, I was anxious as to whether the prep time with my guides was ample before sessions began. “I just want you to ‘set your intention’ each morning before you begin,” he concluded. Hearing him say that felt like a load off my shoulders. For me, keeping it simple was what I learned years ago in Alcoholics Anonymous, and of course it works.
