What Is It Like To Be Psychic?
I have been asked many time what it is like to be psychic? I have always felt this to be an odd question, because in my mind I am just an ordinary human being, the same as everyone else.
We are all born with our own particular gifts and talents. Mine just happens to be a sixth sense.
Everyone of us is unique in our own special way. I just happen to have certain psychic abilities. I feel I was given these gifts to help people, to offer them insight and guidance from the spirit realm.
In the time of the European witch persecutions of the 16th century, and the American witch trials of the 17th century in Salem, people like me were often called ‘witches.’ At the time it was the only understanding people had as to why someone would know things they are not supposed not know.
Throughout human history people like me have been honored and appreciated, but also mocked, shunned and persecuted.
People tend to fear what they do not understand, and it continues to this day. Many people remain skeptical of psychic and paranormal phenomena. To them it just cannot be real. I can assure you it is.
Many more people in the world actually have psychic abilities, but because it is so misunderstood, they just do not know it, or they simply choose not to recognize, accept, or use it. These gifted individuals ‘know’ or ‘sense’ things, but choose not to call themselves a ‘psychic.’
Give Yourself The Grace Of Forgiveness
If you are an empath you may believe that forgiveness should be easy for you, or at least easier than it is for others. But I’ve spoken to many empaths and highly sensitive people over the years who all struggle with forgiveness.
One of the main issues with forgiveness for the empath is that we feel another’s emotions intensely, literally as our own. This muddies the waters considerably, because it tends to blur boundaries. Blurred boundaries can often lead to a closed mouth for an empath. Why? Because it is difficult for us, especially in childhood or in romantic relationships, to know where we end and another begins.
It is easy for others to manipulate appropriate boundaries with an empath, or to erase them altogether. All the empath knows is that there is pain, sadness, a sense of frustration, or anger. If you are an empath, then the question becomes are you angry with them, or yourself? Should you have been able to foresee the catastrophe happening, the relationship ending, job imploding, and so on. This leads to self-doubt and the rehashing of incidents that occurred years ago…with no resolution.
In the meantime, every time an empath thinks about the situation, past or present, we feel it…and the cycle continues.
Yes, you are empathic, intuitive, even psychic, but that does not make you immune to being human, neither does it make you all-knowing or all-seeing, especially when it comes to your own life, childhood or relationships.
Psychic Tools And A Book Of Raffle Tickets
Psychics and mediums are always learning. Often, our clients become some of our greatest teachers, reflecting spiritual truths and new insights back to us in unexpected ways.
One of the most enriching aspects of my spiritual journey has been participating in a small mediumship development group. We regularly meet to hone our mediumistic skills under the guidance of our wonderful mentor, who brings a touch of playfulness to our sessions.
At our most recent meeting, she introduced a fascinating psychic exercise using a book of raffle tickets. Each of us were asked to tear out a ticket identical in color to preserve anonymity and place it in a container.
Then we each drew a ticket at random to be paired with someone. The idea was to tune into the energy of the person whose ticket we had drawn and offer a psychic reading based solely on that energetic connection. Though similar to psychometry, the process felt slightly different and refreshingly new.
The reading I received from the person who picked my ticket turned out to be quite accurate. They picked up on discomfort in my foot, which made me laugh because I had been dealing with an ingrown toenail that morning. It was a small detail, but striking in its specificity.

It isn’t necessary for a psychic to do one-on-one readings for her clients by being with them in person. A psychic or mediumship reading can be just as well be done via phone or the Internet.
Some people are skeptical of the accuracy of long distance readings or they simply believe they must be able to see their reader face-to-face.
But, there is absolutely no reason to be worried, since all readings are equally effective, no matter the distance or medium of communication.
Psychic energy has no boundaries. Just as there is no “up” or “down” in space, our spiritual energies exist on multiple planes in multiple dimensions all at once. If you’ve ever had a lucid dream, or the vivid memory of a prior lifetime, you’ve witnessed this first-hand.
Having a remote psychic reading is just another method of connection. We can think of this almost like a psychic version of the internet: two or more “addresses” coming together through a shared link.

Living a life tuned into divine grace, through my intuition, never ceases to amaze me. It is ever-adventurous and never old, dull, or flat. Why is it so exciting and fresh to me? Because every moment is in the moment. Each sign, sense, and gift is unique, individual, and reciprocal. At every step there is potential to experience the unexpected, something magical, mystical, miraculous, unpredictable.
Unpredictable? Isn’t that what psychic ability is all about? Being able to see and predict the future? Not necessarily. Intuitive gifts come in many diverse shapes and forms…as many as there are people. Some have the ability to foresee things before they happen, but not all psychics receive such predictive vision, and even those who do, aren’t necessarily shown all things, in all detail, all the time. It is a gift, up to the Source and Supreme Gift Giver to grant.
What makes an intuitive life richly rewarding, and conducive for helping others, is the openness to receive and transmit what is divinely placed in one’s awareness, beyond the ordinary range of sense perception. Every genuine reader has something beautiful and meaningful to offer. As there is a multi-dimensional reality, so are there a multitude of angles from which truth may be revealed to one’s intuitive sense of sight, sound, and touch.
Consulting with too many different readers can produce confusion, due to variations in the information received. Most often, however, these differences can be reconciled with deeper, discerning insight to understand how they weave together, to create an enriched texture of awareness of the many layers, sides, and subtleties of a subject.

They went through very similar issues while here in this world, compared to what you will experience in your own life. This is why they become your spirit guide, devoted specifically to you, and this is what makes the two of you the best team!
Your spirit guides work with you in a variety of ways, therefore you have different spirit guides working in conjunction with certain areas in your life.
In addition to your guardian angels, you have protector guides who give you warning signs when things can be unstable or off in your environment. You also have a doctor teacher, a doctor chemist, joy guides, master guides, inner and outer band guides, as well as ascended masters guides… and that’s just to name a few of them!
