The Deeper Meaning Of Color Stereotypes
Have you ever heard the expression someone “talks a blue streak?” It refers to a person who talks rapidly and non-stop. But why use the adjective blue? I suspect it may originate from the metaphysical tradition of the color blue being associated with speaking one’s truth (throat chakra) and creative expression. People who gravitate towards this color are often creatives or performers, such as designers, fine artists, singers, dancers, and so on.
Communicating succinctly is the most powerful way we can make a connection with others beyond our subliminal energy connections with everyone around us. An over-abundance of words, however, translates into a lack of trust on the speaker’s part that she is not accepted by others, be it family members, coworkers, friends, or stranger she encounters along her life path. Speaking clearly and concisely is an art.
The color red also holds a fascination for me, as I perceive it to be a color that is so amazingly misunderstood. Red is generally interpreted as the color of anger, such as “I was so mad, I was seeing red.” Red is also used to denote danger in road signs and red cars are said to be associated with speed and aggressive driving.
But the color red also has many positive symbolic meanings in different cultures, including about passion, excitement, love, vigor, health, life and even spiritual zeal.
Another brilliant color that is often misrepresented is black. Once again, it is generally seen as a color related to depression, sadness, gloom, negativity and evil. In my view black stands out as a harmonious hue. If we see it in a positive light, black can be considered as a sharply defined, elegant color. It is symbolic of power, mystery, and sophistication. No one can deny the glamour of showing up to a dinner party in a smart little black dress or a tailored black tuxedo.
Simple Energy Cleansing Techniques
Everything in the universe is energy – so are you. In addition to our physical body, we also have a subtle energy body consisting of various layers, including the aura or energy field, the chakras or energy centers, and various smaller energy channels and points.
To be holistically healthy and happy it is therefore important to not only take care of the physical body (which is undoubtedly also very important and unfortunately too often neglected), but also the energy body. Our energy body can become unbalanced and even dis-eased with toxic patterns, old blockages, repressed negative emotions and deep energy imprints of trauma. It is vital for our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical well-being to regularly cleanse and maintain our energy body.
In addition, as spiritual beings in humans form we are all energetically connected to each other and therefore we are affected daily by the energies of others. And the truth is that many people in our everyday environment have unhealthy and even toxic energy bodies that are not exactly emanating good, positive vibrations.
For example, you are in a happy, energized mood when you visit relatives or friends, and although everyone in the room outwardly appears to be doing perfectly fine, you soon begin to feel energetically drained or experience unusual emotions, such as suddenly feeling depressed, anxious or angry. This may well be due to someone else’s energy frequency present in the room. Energy never lies, even when we pretend or try to hide it.
The more empathic and highly sensitive we are, the more likely it is that we will intensely feel these environmental energies. A regular energy cleansing is vital to neutralize and shield us from external toxic vibes. I am such a person myself, and I have learned the hard way how destructive it can be when I neglect my energetic self-care and spiritual cleansing.
The Wise Approach To Mercury Retrograde
According to astrology, our lives can be in upheaval when Mercury goes Retrograde. Its effects can be felt by anyone, regardless of your zodiac sign.
However, some signs may be more sensitive to its influence than others. This is because Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo, and people with strong placements of these signs in their birth charts may be more likely to experience disruptions in communication, technology, and transportation during a Mercury retrograde.
Although this concept is widely touted in the spiritual and metaphysical communities, I find that many people affected by it do not understand its true meaning and are not well informed on how best to deal with it.
Mercury retrograde is indeed a challenging cosmic influence. It tends to feel like we have just finished one round of it, and the next one is already looming on the horizon.
A common side effect of Mercury Retrograde for many people is unexplained nervous energy or restlessness. You feel anxious and stressed about everything, and you can’t figure out why? Sometimes you feel anxious about things that have never bothered you in the past.
You may also have a hard time concentrating on things. Retrograde energy can throw even the most calm and centered person off balance.
How To See Your Own Subtle Energy
Subtle energy is the intangible basis of all things. It is the same energy that martial arts masters refer to as chi, which is responsible for ‘impossible’ feats like breaking through bricks with bare hands, or athletes jumping and twisting in the air in ways that seem to defy gravity.
It is all a result of this invisible energy that we all have access to. When we become aware of this energy, we become more aware of the true metaphysical powers that reside in each of us.
Consider plants. They are a complete energy system. Think of what they need to flourish: soil, nutrients, water, and sunlight. You then realize they are a complete ecosystem. One organism. And, the health of the parts affects the health of the whole. This is also true with humans and animals and earth itself.
By learning how to harness and control this energy we become more in tune with nature and our intuition becomes sharper and more clear. Then we can empower and heal ourselves, as well as others. The possibilities are endless.
How can we more fully tap into this energy? We must begin by learning to see it with our own eyes. A simple way to perceive the material expression of this energy is increased awareness of beauty. People, animals, plants and ecosystems that have a high level of that energy appear particularly beautiful. Another practical technique that is very easy to do and it doesn’t take years of study and meditation to master involves your own energy field or aura.
Your Personal Shift Into Conscious Living
Every day we run into people. We meet clerks, bus drivers, cashiers and all kinds of people that we bump into around the neighborhood.
We greet and are greeted in different ways. We pick up on other peoples energies based on how they treat us, and sometimes we can telepathically feel what they are feeing and telling us with their eyes.
It’s up to us, each of us, to give light or darkness in every single interaction we have with one another.
I hope to empower each and every person and inspire everyone who reads this at this very moment. I want us to awaken from this very sleepy realm we live in; this physical weighed down realm.
I hope everyone will feel uplifted by my words and recognize that our actions and thoughts and every will be judged one day. Ultimately we will be the ultimate ones that judge ourselves. I want us to empower one another and ourselves. I want us to awaken!
There is a global shift in consciousness occurring. It’s been unfolding for some time now, and will continue to happen. The veil is thinning.
Those of us who have developed our inner psychic center and have tapped into that part that allows us to sense and feel more deeply, know that we are entering a new era in the evolution of humanity. We are evolving at a very rapid rate and those who are remaining stagnant and are unwilling to explore the intuitive and spiritual parts of their mind and psyche are still living in the narrow-minded classical realm.
I truly feel it’s time and a call has been put out to me to share this. If you already live in the quantum realm you will know exactly what I’m speaking of. Those of us who already live a conscious fifth dimensional life in a third dimensional world, know our place in the universe and are doing our best to make that difference for the greater good of mankind, our amazing planet and all its living beings, plants and animals. We are all connected. We are all neighbors, brothers and sisters.
Two Easy Ways To Start Meditating!
Meditation is the go-to spiritual practice for millions of people all over the world. Not only does it offer incredible benefits for clarity of mind and overall well-being, it is also a powerful self-care tool to help us navigate our lives for our highest good.
But, for newbies getting started with a meditation practice can be challenging at first. I often hear people say, “I can’t meditate, I fall asleep every time,” or “Oh, I tried meditating, but I got too distracted, because I can’t properly clear my mind.”
If this sounds like you, please know that many beginners struggle with the notion that in order to ‘properly’ meditate, one must sit motionless, eyes closed, and clear your mind of all thoughts, and that an inability to do so means that they’ve failed to meditate, or that meditation is ‘not for them.’
The truth is meditation is called a ‘practice’ because it really does take practice to develop and master. But that does not mean it has to be complicated or difficult. Anyone can learn to meditate. To develop your meditation skills more easily, I suggest you begin with a meditation routine in one of two ways: guided meditation, or nature meditation.
Guided Meditation
We have ease of access to guided meditations these days due to convenient advances in digital technology. Gone are the days of having to attend a meditation class in person, or struggling with audio cassette tapes! These days high quality guided meditations can be instantly downloaded or streamed from various websites, apps, and social media platforms. All you need is your smartphone, and a pair of earphones or a headset.
