The Role Of Angels And Guides In Your Life
The various roles of angels and spirit guides in our life journey is a subject that is not discussed as often as it deserves to be.
While many people are familiar with the idea of spirit guides, the role and importance of angels in our lives is often overlooked. These celestial beings have a long history of interacting with humanity, and understanding their presence can provide profound comfort and guidance in our lives.
Angels are spiritual beings who play an important role in our lives, but they function differently than guides. Unlike guides, angels have never walked the earth as humans. They are divine beings of unconditional love, compassion and wisdom. Angels are associated with protection and guidance, and many people feel their presence in times of need or crisis.
Spirit guides are spiritual beings who help and support us throughout our lives. Unlike angels, guides have lived on earth as humans before transitioning to the spirit realm. They have experienced the complexity of human emotions, life challenges, and physical experiences, which makes them uniquely equipped to help us navigate our own lives with compassion, love, and non-judgment.
Guides can be your deceased loved ones and ancestors, or they can simply be previously incarnated souls that you have never met. Guides choose to help us because of the spiritual connection they feel with us, and they can offer wisdom from their own experiences.
It is important to understand that these beings are no longer ego-focused; they exist purely as soul energy, unencumbered by the limitations and biases that may have influenced them during their earthly lives. This means that their guidance is often pure, rooted in unconditional love and a deep understanding of your soul’s journey.
Always Pay Attention To The Signs
Paying attention to divine spiritual signs is essential to aligning with one’s highest good and purpose.
These signs, often subtle and easily overlooked, guide us along the paths that resonate most harmoniously with our true selves. By attuning ourselves to these spiritual signals, we can navigate life more effectively, avoiding pitfalls and embracing opportunities for growth and love.
But the journey is not always straightforward. Sometimes our desires and obsessions can cloud our judgment and lead us astray from the divine guidance that is trying to guide us.
One of the most common distractions is becoming obsessed with a person of interest. This obsession can create a narrow focus that blinds us to the signs and messages that point us toward true love and fulfillment.
It is easy to mistake intense attraction or infatuation for destiny and ‘meant to be,’ but these feelings are often the result of unmet emotional needs or unresolved past experiences rather than a genuine connection orchestrated by divine forces.
I have experienced this firsthand. There was a time when I was hopelessly in love with a man who, in retrospect, was not aligned with my highest good. My obsession with him was all consuming. I interpreted every little gesture, every word he spoke, as a sign that we were meant to be together. I convinced myself that our connection was fated, despite numerous red flags and gut feelings that suggested otherwise.
Receiving Angel Guidance In Your Dreams
I was nine years old when I met three beautiful angels in a rather unlikely setting. My parents were visiting some friends one Saturday night, and when it was time for me to go to bed, they put me upstairs in the master bedroom.
The grown-ups were enjoying themselves and making a lot of noise downstairs, so I was lying on the bed, wide awake, staring up at the ceiling.
Suddenly, like a sliding door, the ceiling opened to reveal three magnificent beings against the backdrop of the night sky. They were angels.
In later years I researched books and pictures of these beautiful beings and to my amazement some artists had captured them exactly as I had seen them in my vision that night. Their message came to me telepathically, clear and comforting: “We will always be with you.
The vivid memory of that night stayed with me and shaped my understanding of the spiritual realm. As I began to work with people all over the world, I soon realised that many people are either too afraid to open up to angelic guidance, or simply do not know where to begin the communication process. If this resonates with you, know that angels do come to us in dreams and visions, offering their guidance, protection and support.
The Bible, for example, contains numerous accounts of dreams and visions involving angels, such as Jacob’s ladder (Genesis 28); Joseph’s dreams (Genesis 37); Daniel’s visions (Daniel 7); and John’s revelation (Revelation 1-22).
Consciously Connecting With Your Spirit Guide
Have you ever felt a gentle nudge, an intuitive whisper, an inner knowing guiding you? It is your spirit guide supporting and protecting you. Sometimes our guides succeed in getting our attention, but sometimes the messaging fails, with potentially disastrous consequences for our safety, success, or well-being.
This is why it is wise to be more directly familiar and connected with your guide. It is like having the spirit realm ‘on speed dial,’ which can come in very handy in difficult times, and especially in emergency situations! Consciously connecting with your guide is a spiritually rewarding, uplifting and highly beneficial practice.
A spirit guide is a higher non-physical entity or spirit being who is dedicated to supporting our life journey and spiritual mission in our current lifetime by offering us ongoing guidance, support, wisdom and protection. Think of them as our celestial cheerleaders and bodyguards, always rooting for our highest good!
Depending on our chosen belief system and personal background, our guide may be one of our ancestors, a totem or spirit animal, spirit guardian, angelic guide, saint, bodhisattvasa, enlightened being, ascended master, deva, djinn, deity, or other divine being.
Regardless of who we personally understand our spirit guides to be, they are with us from the day we are born to provide support and insight to help us navigate life’s challenges, make wise choices and decisions, and pursue our spiritual growth and soul purpose. Our guides communicate with us through intuition, signs, symbols, synchronicities, physical sensations, dreams, and even other people, conversations and various forms of media. They are always guiding us toward our highest good and spiritual development.
Learning To Interpret Your Dreams
While the exact nature and purpose of dreaming remains shrouded in mystery, science at least tells us that it is a universal experience. We all dream, most likely every night. Many people don’t remember their dreams and therefore incorrectly assume that they rarely or never dream.
Research on dreams and dreaming has shown that an estimated 95 to 99% of people experience dreams. Dreaming is most common during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, when brain activity is heightened and our eyes move about every 90 minutes throughout the night.
On average, a person may have several dreams per night, although they may not always remember them when they wake up. The frequency of dreaming can be influenced by several factors, including age, stress levels, and sleep quality.
There are many theories as to why we dream. Most believe that dreams help us consolidate memories, process emotions, solve problems, or even prepare us for tasks. However, the most important reason we dream is often downplayed or even ignored, which is that our dreams are inherently spiritual and serve a higher purpose.
The fact that our dreams are messages from the spirit realm and a higher power is unfortunately one of the most forgotten truths of ancient wisdom deeply rooted in many religious and spiritual traditions. Dreams have piqued human curiosity for thousands of years. Ancient civilizations, from the Egyptians to the Greeks, revered dreams as portals to the divine, messages from the gods, or glimpses of the future.
I Am Soaring Free
When I do readings for clients to help guide them through the struggles or confusion they face in their lives, I understand what they are going through. I can relate on a deeply personal level, because I have been there myself, and I have experienced more than most.
Back in 2004, I had reached a devastating point in my life where my confidence, happiness, courage and self-worth were essentially non-existent. Fortunately, I was able to overcome those challenges with the guidance of spirit, and I now know from hard-earned experience that we can overcome much adversity.
As part of this journey of growth and healing, one of my guides gave me my spiritual name: Soaring Free.
Everyone has at least three guides in their lives. There are other guides and guardians that come and go in our lives, but the primary three stay with us throughout our lives to support and guide us.
It was my main guide who gave me my spirit name in a dream. I was to be known as “Soaring Free.” When I asked what this meant, I was shown that my life was to change direction significantly and that I was to live it as if I were soaring free like an eagle every day. I received several profound messages to awaken me at that time. It brought me to a higher level of understanding (and much confusion at first) than ever before.
What was the meaning of all this, I wondered? Why did I need a new name? Were these guides coming into my life real or just my imagination? Was I losing my mind? Was I really hearing and seeing these things, or was it just my own subconscious playing tricks on me? I had many questions at the time, and so began my journey of awakening and transformation.
Embracing Spiritual Guidance When You Relocate
Relocating to a new city, state, or even country for a job opportunity, career advancement, or new business venture is a significant and transformative decision we sometimes have to make in life.
While logical and practical considerations are essential in these matters, relying on inner spiritual guidance and divine support can profoundly enhance the decision-making process.
Spiritual guidance connects us to our higher selves, ancestors, spirit guides, angels, and the divine, providing a deeper level of wisdom and certainty.
Intuitive Guidance
The first step is to quiet the mind and tune in to the subtle messages of your intuitive inner guidance. Commonly referred to as “gut feelings,” “hunches,” or our “sixth sense,” our inner guidance system is a powerful decision-making tool. This inner voice is a manifestation of our higher self that guides us toward choices that align with our true purpose and well-being.
When we align with our Higher Self, we access a reservoir of wisdom that transcends the limitations of the rational mind. So when we need to consider a great opportunity or a major life change, tuning into this inner wisdom helps us discern whether the move will serve our highest good.
Our higher self, soul or spirit, is the metaphysical part of us that is eternally connected to the Divine and has a broader perspective on our life journey and soul plan. It knows our soul’s mission and purpose in life and can guide us to make choices that serve our highest good.
