Seeing The Future In Precognitive Dreams
Many people will tell you that they’ve had a precognitive dream at some point in their lives. In short, this is a dream that somehow revealed or predicted a future event or circumstance. Literature, myth, and history are filled with stories of such dreams, from ancient times to the sinking of the Titanic.
The concept of precognitive dreams has fascinated mankind for centuries. In ancient cultures, dreams were seen as messages from the gods or the universe, guiding individuals through their waking lives.
The Bible, for example, contains numerous accounts of prophetic dreams, such as Joseph’s dreams that foretold his rise to power in Egypt. These stories underscore the long-held belief that dreams can provide glimpses into the future.
But how much truth is there in the idea of dreaming the future? Is it really a thing?
Throughout history, people have reported dreams that seemed to predict future events. These precognitive dreams, as they’re called, have included personal tragedies, world-shaping conflicts, and even scientific breakthroughs.
Carl Jung, a prominent Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, was interested in the phenomenon of precognition in dreams. He believed that dreams could sometimes contain elements of future events or insights that were not consciously available to the dreamer. Jung coined the term “synchronicity” to describe meaningful coincidences that defy conventional explanations of cause and effect, suggesting a deeper connection between the psyche and external events.
How To Navigate The Chaos Like A Champ
The physical life adventure we signed up for before we were born has many twists and turns. From our careers and relationships to personal health and world events.
While these ups and downs of life and love are exactly what we came here to experience for our personal enlightenment and soul evolution, they can sometimes throw us into moments of chaos, frustration, anxiety and even instense despair.
The key to not becoming disoriented or deflated in these difficult moments is to always remember why we are here in the first place, no matter how crazy things may get. Every time we face adversity or have to overcome setbacks and obstacles, we are making progress on our amazing soul journey.
Embracing the dynamic and sometimes very challenging nature of our existence is essential to fulfilling our spiritual mission. Staying balanced in an ever-changing environment is not just a possibility – it is an exciting opportunity for self-discovery and spiritual empowerment.
Change and uncertainty are inevitable. Developing a mindset of flexibility and adaptability can help you navigate the chaos with greater ease. Surrender to the knowledge that you can’t control everything, but you can control your thoughts, mindset and reactions.Amid chaos and despair, remember: every setback is a step forward in your amazing spiritual odyssey!
Three days ago, a deer collided with my car two hours from home. It did not survive and my vehicle is no longer drivable. The hardest thing for me was the grief of killing one of God’s beautiful creatures. Why did I not see it earlier and react sooner?
Never Confide In The ‘Empathy Impaired’
I recently did a reading for a client who asked me a question that I had never been asked before. Even though it was my first time working with her, her question made me ask myself the same question about my own life.
Her question was simple: Who can I confide in? Who can I trust? We then worked through her short list of significant people in her life and I shared what I felt about each of them with the guidance of spirit.
I immediately felt that two particular people were not the kind of people you would want to trust completely, much less confide in.
The first clear indicator was inconsistency in their words and actions. If someone frequently says one thing and does another, it suggests a lack of reliability and sincerity.
Another red flag that immediately came up was gossiping or speaking negatively about others behind their backs, as this behavior demonstrates a lack of confidentiality and respect.
But I always want to make sure that what I am psychically sensing is accurate before I reveal this kind of information. So, I asked her for her date of birth, along with the first names and dates of some of the people she wasn’t so sure about. Sure enough, she confirmed what I had initially seen.
Psychics and mediums often use “soul identity details” such as birth dates, photos, names, or even personal items like clothing or jewelry to enhance the connection with a particular person’s energy or spirit. I think of it as looking into someone’s “soul footprints.” This enhances the psychic connection process in several ways:
The Soulful Practice Of Kirtan Chanting
An ancient spiritual practice less known in the West has transformed my spiritual routine in recent years. It is known as kirtan a beautiful form of devotional chanting that originated in ancient India.
The term “kirtan” comes from Sanskrit and means “narrating, reciting, telling, describing” of an idea or story, particularly in a religious context. This enchanting practice weaves together music, meditation, chanting, and a deep sense of spiritual expression.
Kirtan is a central practice in the Bhakti Yoga tradition, which emphasizes love and devotion to a personal deity. It involves the repetitive chanting of mantras and divine names, traditionally in Sanskrit, accompanied by musical instruments such as the harmonium, tabla, and cymbals.
Traditionally, kirtans focus on chanting the names of deities like Krishna, Rama, or Sita. The kirtan leader sings a line and the congregation responds, creating a rhythmic and melodic interplay that is both meditative and invigorating.
While Kirtan remains rooted in its spiritual origins, it has gained global popularity beyond India and the Bhakti tradition. As the practice of yoga has boomed worldwide, kirtan too has seen an immense rise in popularity. It’s a testament to the universal appeal and transformative power of this captivating practice.
Kirtan events and gatherings are known for being welcoming and inclusive, focusing on the shared experience of chanting rather than strict religious adherence. Unlike the typical musical experience in spiritual settings, kirtan invites everyone to participate in a soulful, call-and-response chanting that creates a profound connection to the divine and brings people closer together.
Practical Techniques For Psychic Protection
Psychic protection, also known as spiritual or energetic protection, is a practice I hold dear because it helps shield me from negative energies, psychic attacks, and unwanted influences.
The concept is not new. Mystical protection practices can be traced back to various ancient civilizations, indigenous traditions, Eastern philosophies, and Western esoteric practices.
In ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, amulets and talismans were worn and protective deities invoked to ward off negative energies and evil spirits. Indigenous cultures in the Americas and Africa used smudging and rituals to summon ancestral spirits for protection.
Eastern religious traditions such as Hinduism and Buddhism use mantras, yantras, and meditation for spiritual protection. Kabbalistic traditions emphasize the use of specific prayers and rituals to create spiritual shields. These practices reflect a deep-rooted belief in the power of divine intervention and sacred symbols to provide protection.
In Catholicism, believers recite prayers such as the Lord’s Prayer or the prayer to St. Michael for protection from evil. They may also use holy water, crucifixes, or medals of saints as protective symbols. In Judaism, the recitation of Psalms and the use of amulets inscribed with Hebrew verses are common practices for protection against negative influences.
Contemporary spiritual communities have adapted these ancient practices to include the use of crystals, energy healing, and visualization techniques. Workshops, books, and teachings offer a wealth of methods for psychic protection, all aimed at maintaining a balanced, protected, and positive state of being. These diverse traditions and modern adaptations underscore the universal spiritual need to protect ourselves from unseen negative energies and dark influences.
