Easy Color Meditation
Prepare the space
Decide which color you want to work with and having done so, settle yourself down in your favorite chair for 20 minutes to half an hour. Make sure you will not be interrupted, so switch the phone off, put away any surrounding clutter, light a colored candle corresponding with the color you are working with and make sure there is soothing music in the background.
Relax your body
Kick off those shoes, relax into your chair and have a good stretch, while taking a lovely deep breath, all of which should help you to relax.
Focus on your breath
This is a great way of helping to keep your mind focused. Count to ten as you breathe out, and again to ten as you breathe in, while keeping your breathing cycle natural and comfortable.
Concentrate on the candle
While rhythmically breathing, turn your attention to the candle and inhale its color into the Heart Chakra.
Concentrate on the color
Sense the color you are working with permeating your whole being, including your aura, while maintaining a regular pattern of breathing.
Seal the Color
Finally, you need to seal in the color with the aid of a ball of light circulating your body. Visualize this strongly, in your mind’s eye to achieve the most powerful effect.
Call upon your Higher Self
At the end of your visualization, request your Higher Self for protection as you gently exit your state of meditation.
This exercise helps to introduce you gently into the exciting realm of color meditation. Basically, the candle you use during the exercise simply focuses your mind on the relevant color. However, you can always change the color in accordance with your needs. With time and practice, you should come to be able to focus, quite naturally, on any color without the need for having a candle present.
To benefit fully from whatever color you are working with, it is important to imagine it swirling throughout your body, while easing any tension and cleansing those Chakras as it goes.
On a final note, do try to enjoy this process and remember that each and every time you practice, the more cumulative benefits you should reap.
