The Courage To Shed Our ‘Old Bark’

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comIn recent readings, new romance has been indicated very strongly for one of my regular clients. This is a welcome new development, because for a long time, and to his annoyance, his readings tended to relate more to business than to affairs of the heart! He has been very open to new romance for a long time now, but it has been eluding him.

In many of his readings, his late father featured prominently and suggested that unresolved issues connected to his dad were actually impacting his self-worth. As a result, he also didn’t feel lovable or attractive enough to meet a life partner.

It seems strange though, that after reading for this gentleman for several years, he’d never mentioned his family. The subject only arose unprompted during the recent readings. This suggests that subconsciously he was ready to release that old baggage and to embrace positive change.

Because he was ready, we were discovering that it was important to now remove any deep-seated belief systems and blockages to his happiness, and for him to finally find a life partner who respected him, as opposed to the abusive relationships he’d known for years. I told him that he was like a tree shedding old bark!

This took me back years, to a time when I would help a former boyfriend, who was a horticulturist, with his seasonal work of pruning. He would climb the trees and prune those, and I learned to be quite the rose pruner at ground level.

Living Life – A Message From My Guides

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAre you living the life of your dreams? Are you happy or content most of the time? Do you face challenges with confidence, or perhaps dread? Do you compare yourself with others and feel sad, miserable, or even angry at their success? Regardless of whether you feel as though you are at the bottom of the barrel, or soaring among the clouds, there is always room for improvement, and it is never too late to get started.

One of the biggest errors in judgment is all-or-nothing thinking. You do not need to drop everything in your life and start with a blank slate. Not only would that be impossible, it would be totally impractical. Your life so far is a culmination of all your experiences, education, career opportunities and family interactions, and cannot be wiped away like a chalkboard. Instead, you can, and should, start by making course corrections and taking baby steps in the right direction.

Set your intention first. Visualize the end result. Begin the process of redesigning your life gently and allow the universe to conspire in your favor over time. Whether you choose to go back to school, read a book, take a course, attend a conference, learn online or join a group, do something that makes you feel happy and fulfilled. Do it because you want to, not because you have to.

Set realistic goals and deadlines. If you are juggling a family or career or both, be sensible in your expectations of yourself. Things take time and if it is worth doing, it is worth doing well. Do not expect overnight results. Life is not a success-only journey, however, each setback holds a series of invaluable lessons. Deal with each issue, learn from the experience and move on with confidence. Continue reading

Spiritual Hypnosis

click for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comDid you know that there are parts of your consciousness from which your spiritual being transmits? Many of us tend to trudge forward on a little known path toward finality, oblivious to our spiritual being. We often only dwell in the here and now of the conscious mind, and we forget or neglect those aspects of us that pertain to our higher spiritual self.

Each one of us has a spiritual mind. It’s our wise mind, the all knowing self, which guides us to seek peace, to love one another, and to forgive others, as well as ourselves. It calls us to be healers in every sense of the word, to seek bliss and enlightenment, and to have a better human life in a better way.

Some hypnotherapists, who practice spiritual hypnosis, define our different levels of consciousness as follows:

The Conscious Mind – from which comes everyday thoughts, actions, logic and judgment

The Subconscious Mind – where all your life experiences, memories, feeling, habits, and reactions associated with them, are stored, as well as our unconscious body actions such as heart beat, breathing, digestion, bio-action, and so on.

The Super-Conscious Mind – the I am of the higher self, of unconditional love, light, and wisdom; being of peace, compassion, forgiveness and the bliss of enlightenment.

The Unconscious Mind – the over-soul of all incarnations of lifetimes; stored karma.

Restoring My Energy Balance In A New Way

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comRecently, a major storm caused some damage to our home. This required us to have contractors invade our normally very peaceful, secluded home. The repairs were such that it required the workers to have access to both the exterior and interior of our home.

Although we were both grateful for the fact that we have great home owners insurance, and that all the repairs were going to be completed with minimal expense on our part, we also were faced with the reality that our life as we knew it was going to be temporarily disrupted.

We had numerous people in and out of our home. Activity was everywhere in the house, and although our home is large there was not one room that did not require some kind of repair. This meant I had no private space to myself anymore. I had nowhere to escape to and clear my energy.

Reminding myself that it was only temporary, and that I could handle the lack of privacy I had become so accustomed to, I tried to adapt. I started doing my mediation early in the morning, before the workers arrived, and I routinely smudged the entire home with sage. I also started spending less time at home, as to not be in anyone’s way.

All the while I tried to convince myself that I was fine. I was also doing the energy work I needed to do to ensure none of the energy that was brought into my home by so many strangers would leave an imprint or attach itself to me. But about a month into this three month ordeal, I found myself getting very depressed. Trusting The Process

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWe are never too old to learn new life lessons. I have been married for 38 years. I cherished our relationship. It was not perfect, but intentions were always good. I was treated very well by my spouse, and I returned the favor.

But I have to admit, I didn’t do most of the work around the house; my partner did most of it. It was not fair. However, it worked for us. I was  also the outwardly more needy one. My partner’s needs were more disguised, but they were there.

The way we handled things worked for us, but then something happened recently that broke the trust between us. No, it was no due to an extramarital affair, nor any criminal activity. It was not due to any of the typical or usual things that negatively impact marriages, but it was pretty eye-opening nonetheless.

After this major wake-up call, we must now work on revamping our marriage, and it may, or may not, work out for us in the long run. This is a new journey for me. I am walking in the dark on an unknown path, and I feel lost, but I will have to learn to trust the process.

Changing Your Future

click for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWorking with my clients to co-create a  future outcome is one of the aspects of doing psychic readings which I enjoy the most. Setting the right intention for a future manifestation not only helps them with the issue they initially consulted me about, but also tends to improve every area of their life.

It is likely if someone carries an imbalance in one area of life, it’s bound to show up in other areas too. For example, if you know someone who struggles in their love life, because they’re always hopping from one relationship to the next, it’s more than likely that person displays the same behavior at work and with many other decisions and choices in their life.

These habitual behavior patterns take hold in our lives for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to, our childhood upbringing, society, genetics, and our astrological birth chart. However, I don’t believe these patterns fully define us, or that we are permanently bound by them. Whether one is born a saint or a sinner, rich or poor, privileged or not, when a person awakens from the myth of who they thought they were, and stops running away from their fears, they can decide to change their future and allow success into their life.

This is where the magic comes in. The simple act of ‘deciding’ something, even in the face of discouragement, is when we align with the powerful forces of the Universe to co-create the life we really want! I’ve seen this in Astrology, with even the most difficult astrological chart aspects. When someone wakes up, or realizes that they are an unlimited being, their entire world shifts. I’m a firm believer that we come here to transcend our astrological chart, not be imprisoned by it.

Are We There Yet?

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAre we there yet? It’s okay to ask. The answer, however, should always be no. If we become preoccupied with destination, we lose sight of the purpose of the journey in the first place. When we honor the journey, we are able to keep on the path of forward motion.

Life itself is the journey. We learn the hard lessons, and finally understand that it’s a never-ending process. Often things occur in the guise of mistakes, failures, misunderstandings, hurts. But in truth, not learning from these events is the only failure. And if you don’t learn it the first time, it is highly likely the lesson will repeat itself, over and over again, until you actually do learn it.

When our behavior and actions change, we convert what we have learned into wisdom. For some people the process is a lifelong quest, while others utilize what they have learned and it moves them along quickly. Some people need to go deeper within themselves to make progress.

It is always good to ask if we are there yet. Especially at the beginning of every journey, or when the learned lessons tell us there is more work to be done – inner work to get to the very core of our being. For some people inner work can be very frightening, as many of us deeply suppress the things that we don’t want to deal with. But to complete the journey we must peel away the layers, like peeling an onion.
