Overcoming Fears And Phobias

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comMany of us have something that we fear in life – in some cases to the extent that it becomes a phobia. We have no real reason to allow it, but phobias can control our lives. Yes, encounters with bridges, or snakes, or needles, can bring people to their knees, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Some people allow phobias to control their lives by allowing a memory of a feeling to guide their free will – to control how they approach a situation in daily life. Sometimes even hearing the name of the dreaded object or situation is enough to set off a nightmarish reaction.

Phobias bind us to a feeling from the past and we allow the knot to bind tighter and tighter each time we reinforce its control by avoiding it, or by allowing it to influence our actions.

Where do phobias come from? How do they differ from a fear? And what can one do to change it?

Fear is what we feel when we are in the presence of real danger. Fear is the feeling associated with our body preparing itself to either fight the source of the danger, or escape from it.

Crow Medicine

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comCrows often appear to me when I am about to make a significant change in my life. I recently moved to a nicer place, and a group of crows appeared outside my new home, signifying this was not the only change to come.

Crows also represents being adaptable, malleable and, of course, flexible. We are generally resistant to change, but change is the only constant in this life. When seeing crow in your personal surroundings, know it is time to change your thinking and perception about your current life circumstances. Sometimes we cannot see the forest beyond the trees.

Crow medicine teaches us to focus on the ‘bigger picture.’ Look at the whole story, instead of the worrying so much about the details.  Leave the details to the Universe. It usually does turn out better than we had imagined!

Birds also act as messengers from Heaven. A bird showing up unexpectedly in your life is perhaps a loved who has crossed over and is wanting your attention. I remember one time it was my great grandmother whom I inherited my psychic, mediumship and healing abilities from.

Using Labels To Avoid Doing The Work

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAcccess.comI’m an introvert. I’m dysfunctional. I am an empath.

It is good to know about yourself. However a retreat into generalized labels will be an obstacle to further work. Generalizations are just that, generalizations. Generalizations are good for a quick conversation, but not for depth.

Now that you have learned something about yourself and have a label, you have some vocabulary to do more research on tools for healing. Now that you know your fallback position (I run away, I don’t set boundaries) you can start to learn about other tools, other choices.

In order to apply new choices, in order to catch your dysfunctional patterns you will need to be mindful. Mindfulness entails being specific, very specific, regarding each incident, each choice. Just like taking a daily inventory. Specificity and detail are needed to observe your current choices, to learn what Spirit is trying to teach you, and also for you to be able to note and celebrate progress made. Just like going on a diet, you need to be real, specific, use facts, use accurate information (as much as possible) via daily tracking and detailed recall.

Successful New Year’s Resolutions

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comDid you make any New Year’s resolutions this year? I suspect most of us have done this at least once in our lives. But did you accomplish them? If not, have you ever stopped to wonder why? Too often, we do not reach our goals.

Year after year people make New Year’s resolutions, but few follow through on it, and then it becomes just another hopeful New Year ending with another series of failed pledges and personal promises. Whether it is to quit smoking, lose weight, change lifestyle habits… the plan is usually good, but the will, is weak.

Many of us just seem to fall off our new track and back onto the old one. We can’t seem to make a change of habit. We don’t take the time. We don’t keep up the positive self-talk. We don’t make a real plan to reach our goal. We just seem unable to get our head around it!

But here’s a plan to create suggestions or affirmation you can say to yourself, which may help you reach more of your goals.

Healing Your Life With Age Regression

42398487-hypnotherapist-holding-her-patients-wrist-in-therapists-officeHypnosis is increasingly being used by people seeking to change situations in their lives. Hypnotherapy is perhaps best known as a means to stop smoking, or to achieve weight loss. But hypnosis is also used effectively in medical settings, including for pain management, surgery anxiety and increased immunity.

An altered state of consciousness known as hypnotic trance is induced by hypnotherapists to help clients rearrange their thought processes and advance positive constructive actions. This enables clients to change habits and feelings, which produce the desired end result.

In hypnosis the client is always in control and it is the client’s mental processes that create the changes. The hypnotist is merely a coach or guide. The mind already knows the right way, but needs the opportunity to process and align itself for personal change.

Many of us find ourselves dealing with mental or emotional challenges rooted in our past. Memories are stored in the subconscious mind. Everything that you have ever seen, heard, smelt, tasted or felt; in other words everything you have ever sensed is recorded in the subconscious mind.

To clearly recognize the negative subconscious issues we may be clinging to, and to move on from it, we must look with uncritical eyes at thoughts and feelings stored in our memories. Hypnosis allows a person to use natural mental processes to bring clear understanding, and often forgiveness, to troubled or stressed aspects of our being. Continue reading

Getting ‘Unstuck’

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comOne of the things I love most about a Tarot reading is that it can show us where we have the power to make meaningful changes in our lives. We’ve all experienced those periods in our lives where we feel ‘stuck.’ We feel like we have no options and are, essentially, trapped by our circumstances. But very rarely is this actually the case.

In actuality, very often, when we are feeling trapped or stuck, it is because we are avoiding choices that will lead to changes in our lives. Change is unsettling at best, and downright scary at worst! As a result we tell ourselves that we can’t do this, or that, and we enforce this by coming up with all kinds of consequences that will arise if we do.

Sometimes of course, these consequences are legitimate. Other times they are far exaggerated by our imaginations. And perhaps the most powerful, sometimes the consequences are exactly what we need to experience.

Sagittarius Shakes Things Up

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comA few days ago, on December 7th, we had a New Moon in Sagittarius, which has been both invigorating and challenging. It has brought forth a collective desire to break free from the past, which is now stirring up some conflicts or controversies with people, politics and business relationships.

Sagittarius can shake things up to open our eyes and put us on the right track. It’s never pleasant, but the intention is actually to purify and transform our lives.

Emotions have been running high this entire year, so anything that has been suppressed may now rise to the surface and force us to face some harsh truths personally, and with others. Mercury was also retrograde until a few days ago, which offer a perfect opportunity revisiting any problem and carefully finding the best solution.

Energy levels are also low, so take your time and try not to get stuck inside the storm. Avoid being impulsive at this time, because you might regret it later. Also, think about what isn’t contributing to your growth and how you can eliminate anything or anyone who doesn’t make you feel loved or valued. Continue reading
