The First Chakra
Chakra literally means “wheel” or “circle of light.”
The first chakra, or Muladhara, is located in the coccygeal region at the base of the spine where we sit. It is symbolized by a four petaled red lotus flower.
The animal totem of the first chakra is the elephant. The musical note that resonates with this chakra is C. It is considered the root chakra.
The color of the root chakra is red. It rules the feet, legs, anus, hips, bowels and bladder.
Foods to stimulate the first chakra include beets, strawberries, raspberries, cherries.

Simple Ways To Restore Daily Balance
Every day, I try to find balance in my life and put it into action, but sometimes it is hard to do. And sometimes it’s hard to see the whole picture of what you’re wanting to do, to have that sense of happiness and well-being in your life.
I find what works best to get me back on track is to center myself mentally first, before I take on any of the daily challenges of life. I admit that I often need a pop of the good old caffeine to get my mind and body going in the morning, but experience has taught me it is much more constructive to focus on something positive at that time. How To Heal A Broken Heart
It can be very difficult to heal from a broken heart. It is no accident that there are so many sad songs written about lost love, and so many stories in magazines and on talk shows about failed love relationships. Many self-help experts proclaim they have the true answer to how to heal a broken heart.
I know from personal experience that it can be one of the hardest things in life to understand and overcome. When I had my heart broken, I used music in healing process, because I could relate what the song was about. Learning To Know Joy In The Afterlife
Shortly after my father’s death in 2005, I started sitting in monthly mediumship circle with three friends. It was on our third gathering that my dad began the first of many communications from the wonderful world of spirit.
Energetically it seemed most appropriate, because one of our sitters had been my dad’s hospice nurse. How lucky I was during those final six months of my dad’s life, not only to have the wonderful support of this earth angel from hospice, but also to feel so connected to her through our interest in things of a psychic nature. How To Attract True Love Into Your Life
Have you ever felt so good that not even the most negative person you encounter can ruin your day? That is the type of energy you need to envelope yourself in to be a magnet for attracting love and all that is positive into your life.
I have known some very sad individuals, who constantly get nowhere in life because they seem to be perpetually negative and assuming the worst. Whatever they look at or hear, they always put a negative spin on it – whatever it may be.
These negative people are to me a type of ‘energy vampire.’ They try to bring you down to their level so that they can feel better. If you are protected, however, you can remain in balance and alignment spiritually and emotionally. You can empower yourself on all levels, so that you essentially have an invisible, but very powerful shield of protection around you. This way you can deflect their negative energy. It goes right back to the sender, or the one who is trying to drop their ‘poison’ on you. The Role Of Dreams In Our Lives
Dreams are a very powerful tool in our spiritual lives. I sometimes receive calls from clients concerned about their dreams. If you search in books, or on the Internet, you will find that there can be many generic interpretations of a dream. But the best way to get to the heart of the matter, is to have your unique dream interpreted by a dream interpreter or psychic reader.
When I do dream analysis I would ask the client questions about the dream, for example if it was in color or black and white. I feel that dreams come partly from the heavens, but also from what had happen to you that day. I had a dream once about a client’s voice and later that day got a call from that person – and they had something happen to them. I know that some dreams can go very deep if you’re in the last stage, when you’re sleeping. And if you have the TV on, that can affect your dream at that time. Continue reading
Perfect Love Is For Better Or Worse
What is perfect love? Is there such a thing? How can two people make their love last? Do we belong together? If we argue, does that mean we are not soulmates? These are a few of the questions I get asked in relationship readings.
The answer is the best of marriages have had their ups and downs. Perfect love is loving your partner when things aren’t perfect. It’s seeing through the negative energy and working through it.
Working through can take many forms. It may be leaving the house and taking some time away, or spending some time away from one another in some way, shape or form. Space and time heals all, especially for those that are living together, or married. There is much truth in the popular Chicago ballad, Hard to Say I’m Sorry, because everybody does need “a little time away”. Continue reading
