Embracing The Dark Season With Isa And Jera
This time of year, when the air first sharpens and the trees begin to release their golden leaves, I feel a familiar stirring in my heart and soul.
Early fall has always been more than just a change of weather to me. It is a threshold, a sacred gateway that leads us from the brightness of summer into the deeper mystical wisdom of the dark season.
There’s a particular magic in this in-between time of the year…where light and shadow meet, and the veil between worlds begins to thin.
Fall is not merely an ending; it is an invitation inward. It asks us to reflect, to release, and to realign with the deeper currents that move through all things. Just as the trees surrender their leaves, we too are asked to let go of bad habits, limiting beliefs, or self-imposed burdens that no longer serve our highest path.
Our ancestors knew this well. They did not simply mark their calendars this time of year…to cover the pool or reorganize their closets, like we do. Instead, they were in deep sync with the rhythmic cycles of the year.
In the North, they honored the harvest with gratitude, they stored up sustenance for the long winter months ahead…and they carefully consulted the runes. The runes were for them living messages from the gods that spoke of fate, nature, and the mysteries of life.
As an spiritual advisor who works with the runes, I often remind my clients that these symbols are not relics of the past. They are very much alive, pulsing with energy, ready to guide us if we open ourselves to their voices.
A Mystic’s Guide To The Final Months Of 2025
As we move into the final months of 2025, the energy around us feels less like things are quietly wrapping up and more like they are building toward a big, undeniable turning point.
This is not just the year slowly running out of days. It is a season where the universe seems to be leaning in close, asking us to pay attention. There is a sense that something important is in motion, even if we cannot see all the pieces yet.
These last months carry a certain electricity in the air, a quiet pressure that says, “Something is shifting. Are you ready?” But it’s not about pushing harder or doing more. It is about listening more deeply, trusting more fully, and allowing the old ways to loosen their grip so we can step into what is next.
We are in a threshold season: that sacred in-between space where the old patterns no longer fit, but the new has not fully taken form. It can feel strange, even uncomfortable, like standing in a doorway, grasping one handle while peeking into another room, not quite ready to let go, yet knowing you cannot stay where you are.
You might notice a pull to slow down, choose your time and energy more wisely, or step back from noise and distraction. This is not you being unproductive; it is your inner compass reorienting. Your soul knows when it is time to listen within. Sometimes it whispers through restlessness, sometimes through a craving for solitude, sometimes through sudden clarity about what no longer feels right.
Holding On To What Never Changes
Nature always inspires deep thoughts in me. There’s something about pausing to watch the wind rustle through the trees or to see the sun gently filter through the clouds that invites stillness and reflection.
Today, I found myself contemplating the constantly changing seasons. In the Northern Hemisphere, we are a month away from the summer solstice, and the days are becoming increasingly long and warm with golden light. The trees are lush and full, the air hums with the sound of insects, and gardens overflow with life.
Change is everywhere. It’s evident in the ripening of fruit, the intense afternoon heat, and the subtle shift in the season’s energy toward harvest.
It’s not just nature, either. Our lives are constantly evolving, too. Relationships shift, careers transition, health fluctuates, and dreams reshape themselves over time.
No matter where we turn, we hear messages such as “Change is inevitable,” and “Don’t be afraid of change.”
Yes, change is necessary. As spiritual beings, we are meant to continually grow and evolve. Change challenges us, stretches us, and teaches us.
But let’s be honest — sometimes it’s also deeply unsettling. This is especially true in times like these, when the world feels uncertain, divided, and fragile.
April Showers Bring May, And June Flowers!
The old saying, “April showers bring May flowers,” reminds us that difficult periods can lead to growth and beauty.
For many, April this year truly felt like an emotional downpour, both internally and externally. It was a time of letting go and confronting old wounds or patterns that no longer served a purpose.
While the skies may not have cleared overnight, we are now entering a new chapter. As we move through late May and look ahead to June, a powerful shift is underway—one that brings hope, clarity, and blooming potential.
April is dominated by Aries season and the intensity of its fiery energy. Ruled by Mars, Aries tends to stir things up, fueling restlessness, frustration, and even conflict. This year, many of us felt an even stronger inner drive than usual to move forward, yet we also encountered lingering emotional blocks or unusual external resistance. For many, it was a month of both internal and external battles where old stories resurfaced to be healed or released.
Taurus season followed, overlapping the end of April and the first few weeks of May. Its slower, earthbound rhythm helped us begin to stabilize — but not without first confronting the emotional residue left behind.
Taurus energy urged us to get grounded, reconnect with our values, and take things one step at a time. This helped to soothe some of the turbulence, but it also highlighted areas of life in which we have been too rigid, stuck, or overly attached to our comfort zones.
The Sacred Invitation Of A Spring Renewal
With the first delicate buds unfurling and the air perfumed with the invigorating scent of nature’s reawakening, Spring has officially arrived. This sacred season carries with it the powerful energies of change, whispering to us of transformation, renewal and new beginnings.
But as exhilarating as change can be, it often comes with uncertainty, excitement, and sometimes even fear. We find ourselves at a crossroads between the comfort of the known and the vast potential of what lies ahead.
During the winter months, we instinctively retreated inward — both physically, as we sought warmth from the cold, and spiritually, as we turned our awareness inward to reflect, heal, and dream. Without even realizing it, we entered the sacred cave of our inner wisdom and nurtured the seeds of our soul’s deepest desires.
Now, as the earth awakens and the air becomes warmer, so does the essence of our being, ready to give birth to something new and profound.
Although you may not fully understand what is unfolding within you, your soul is always aware. It has been preparing you for this moment, nurturing the visions and intentions that you have been quietly cultivating in the silence of winter.
Sometimes new beginnings manifest as external changes — a career change, a move to a new home, or new relationships. Other times they unfold as inner changes — an awakening of self-love, a renewed sense of purpose, or a deepened spiritual connection.
