Empaths are very easily affected by other people’s feelings and emotions, so their energy levels are highly susceptible to their energetic environment. Therefore it is vital that empaths learn to properly shield themselves from unwanted negative energy.
So how do you stop unwanted negativity from entering your energy system? How do you comfortably go through your day not being a sponge for all the feelings, emotions and energy of others? It is actually quite easy to shield yourself and maintain your boundaries once you practice a little.
First, you can cleanse your own aura when you get home with sage smudge sticks, or smokeless sage mist to remove any unwanted energy from your day. Spirituality is unique to every individual. Some people experience an overwhelming feeling of the Divine within, while some do not get any feeling whatsoever. Many clients ask me how they can get closer to God, or connect with spirit, or even get that feeling of serene tranquility while meditating.

Thoughts are a very important aspect in life. If you are having a good thought, you’re having a good day. If you are having a bad thought, you are having a bad day. Thoughts are vital in our daily life design. Thoughts can make you, or break you.
It all starts with your thinking. You can decide if you’re going to be having a good day, or bad day. You are the only one who can decide if you are going to think negative or positive thoughts. You alone own the power of your thoughts.
Think about it. You could be having the greatest day in your life and all of a sudden you think of something negative and the good day just turned into an awful day. You alone have the power to control your thoughts. Only you know your thoughts. You also have the power to share them, or to keep them to yourself. Your thoughts are yours. Anyone can call on the angels to help them in any situation. Carl Jung called the angels, “The thoughts of God.” You do not have to belong to a specific religion or denomination to ask the angels for assistance and guidance. They are unconditional love manifested into form and can help us through all our challenges.
One thing that I have found useful on my own journey of forgiveness is to engage the angels in my own forgiveness work.
Try this brief invocation to ask the angels for guidance on your healing journey:
Holy Mother, Holy Father God, Light and Love of the Universe, I ask today for assistance with my path. I ask for the angels to surround me and fill me with the light of truth.
With so many unexpected world events recently, a lot of people are feeling stressed, dismayed, worried and anxious. In such perilous times as we are currently facing, it is vitally important to practice self-care.
What do I mean by self-care? From an intuitive’s point of view, after years of working in the psychic field, I have learned that it is important to take care of yourself first and foremost. Is it selfish? Definitely not. It is selfish to take care of everyone else around you, without taking care of you first. You will not have anything to give of yourself if you do not give to yourself first.
It is like being on an airplane, and when the plane is going down, the oxygen masks come down. If there is a child with you or a frail, elderly person, it is best to put the oxygen mask on yourself first and then the child or other person. I wanted to set an intention for my evening meditation. I wanted to connect with my higher consciousness, and maybe even connect with my grandfather. I wanted to ask questions about death and what happens to our souls and consciousness. What do we perceive after we die?
After my meditation I took down some notes on things I wanted to share that I felt was important information. Before going to sleep I also set the intention to visit with my spirit guides to retrieve and receive any other information that could help shed some light on our life after death.

We are able to draw from their gifts and powers to help us on our path and during the most difficult times in our lives. All of the archangels are healers. They come as master surgeons to repair our bodies, and to help us tap into our higher selves. They are reminders that we are never alone.
The belief is that most of them have incarnated on Earth in the past, and they therefore understand the inner workings of Earth’s dimensions. Some angels have never incarnated on Earth, but feel an attachment to those of us in the human body and wish to help guide us. Read the rest of this entry »
