Astral projection is a natural occurrence for every human being. Whether we realize it or not, we do separate from our physical bodies every night during the dream state. This is the reason why we sometimes awake feeling more tired than when we went to sleep. Some nights we are more busy during our sleep, visiting other souls and working on special projects, than during our waking hours.
How is astral travel possible? Basically, there are seven bodies that make up our complete self. First, we have a dense physical body. This is our human flesh and bone body. This in turn is connected to our Etheric body. I believe that the Etheric body attaches us, at certain body points, to the physical body. I started working with the Tarot when I was 14 years old. I read the metaphysical books of the time and wanted to explore my budding intuition. One afternoon at a bookstore, I was drawn to the Rider-Waite Tarot deck – I felt an instant pull to it in particular!
I wasn’t going to the bookstore that day to buy Tarot cards, but once I did I couldn’t put the mysterious deck of cards out of my mind. Once opened, I studied the deck for weeks on end, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I soon read the cards for others.
The first time I was doing a card spread for myself, my mother walked into my bedroom and told me that my great grandmother also read the cards, as well as tea leaves. Stress confronts us around every corner. Sometimes it’s all we can do to just to get through each day. How we deal with stress says a lot about us, and there are many proactive, healthy ways to do this.
The Serenity Prayer states, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” That is a wise prayer! Stress is unavoidable, so don’t pretend it doesn’t exist. Acknowledging that it is there and having tools to fight stress is half the battle. Using multiple tools such as meditations, problem solving strategies, and time management can be much more helpful than only having one ‘go-to’ strategy. Read the rest of this entry »
If you have been practicing meditation, opening your chakras and playing guessing games to develop your intuition, you may have started seeing and hearing things that you have questions about. Hopefully, you are also keeping a journal and writing down anything that seems to ‘pop’ into your mind while meditating. Often these are messages from your spirit guides.
As you develop psychically, you usually start to become aware of a presence or maybe multiple presences around you while you meditate. You may catch glimpses of faces, usually benevolent and smiling, while your eyes are closed. Or you may hear a voice, or chorus of voices, usually saying loving things or singing. You can often also feel a connection to all living things in the world, and to the air, the water, and the earth. Remember the last time you changed out a dirty air filter from your air-conditioning unit, vacuum cleaner, or your car? Remember how clogged with dust it was? In our living spaces, negative energies accumulate over time just like those ‘dust bunnies.’ Even though we can’t see these energies, there is a way to clear them on a regular basis. Think of it as the spiritual version of house cleaning.
The first and most obvious step to take is to physically clean your space. Clutter and unwanted items work as repositories for negative energy, so it’s important to get rid of it. After you’re done, imagine the space being deep-cleaned with an indigo or violet-colored flame. From the darkest places comes the brightest of light…” When I first read this statement on a piece of community art, on display at a Yoga festival, I was astounded. I stood still, with my Yoga mat strung over my shoulder, my water bottle in hand, and a plethora of memories racing through my mind.
That moment instantly brought back my traumatic, abusive childhood, and destructive youth. I had come from some very dark places, until I ended up morbidly obese, depressed and suicidal at 30 years of age. I had to change my life and slowly I began to choose what I sensed was good for me. Everyone dreams. Whether it is a daydream, meditative dream or when you’re sleeping, we dream all the time. Many dreams carry symbolic energy within them, often containing spiritual messages for the dreamer. Dreams are not always easy to interpret, whenever we manage to remember them, but dream analysis can be developed as a practice. All it takes is some patience and perseverance.
The daydream or ‘awake dream’ is simply those things that you envision for your life. You may dream of a life partner, family, new house, vacation, new car, promotion at work, and so forth. I always tell my clients to start the day by choosing joy. When we are in the vibration of joy or love we begin higher on the vibrational scale, and when we hold one energy we cannot hold another. So, when we are in the vibration of joy, we can’t be in fear, dreading or doubt. The reverse is true. When we are in fear, we don’t feel love or joy.
I recommend a very sweet exercise that produces great results when we practice it, not only with words, but also by adding feeling and a sense of allowing. As with any exercise I use myself, or offer to my clients, I like to make it playful. So let’s play!
In the evening before you go to bed, when you have your PJs on, or first thing in the morning, make yourself comfortable and think of something that raises your vibrational state to one of joy. Put aside any doubts or resistance. Then in your journal, or on a pretty paper, and with your favorite pen, you can write down how you want your day to progress while holding this high vibe.
