The Psychic Power Of Psychometry
Recently, a young woman phoned me wanting to know how she could best psychically connect with her mom who had recently passed away. We had received some lovely evidence of her mom’s presence during our readings together, but she was hoping to be able to deepen the connection on her own in her daily life.
I already knew that this young woman had psychic abilities that are ‘untapped.’ I advised her to start practicing psychometry as part of her spiritual practice. Holding an item of her late mom in her hands, while she was meditating, will promote psychic communication with her beloved mother.
During this conversation, I had a strong vision of her mom repeatedly pointing to her wrist, and what looked like an armband. I asked her if she had a bracelet that her mom used to wear, in order that she could more easily sense her mom’s energy. She then confirmed that she had kept her mom’s hospital bracelet with her in her handbag.
Perfect for psychometry, I thought. That would literally be the most recent item her mom had been wearing on her person and would most strongly carry her energy imprint.
Psychometry is a wonderful psychic skill to develop. It is a powerful form of psychic reading facilitated by clairtangency, the psychic sense of touch.
A personal experience with psychometry that I will never forget occurred during a psychic development course some years ago at the Arthur Findlay College for spiritualism and psychic science. We were a group of ten students, and I was partnered with a gentleman I had not spoken to before.
A Healing Spirit Visitation And The Haunted Toy
A few months ago, my best friend, whom I’ve known since I was five, had her mother pass away. Shortly after that, I woke up in the middle of the night because my son’s educational toy was spontaneously activated and said: “Learn.”
I then instantly felt my friend’s mother’s presence. She was visiting me to apologize to me for something that happened when I was a little girl. It was a deep wound for me at the time, but I rarely thought about it since, and did not harbor any ill will because of it.
When I was 11 years old, I had told my best friend that I had “seen my goddess.” I did not know about spirit guides and had not yet been exposed to any related spiritual philosophies or belief systems. However, I was already interacting with my spirit guide back then, whom I called ‘my goddess.’ Today, I know her as Lily.
I also told my friend that my goddess had said that she was going to give me gift. Later that day, in the cow field that I had to cross to get to school every morning, I found a silver ring.
My friend knew that we were not wealthy, so there was no way I could have bought the ring with my own money. It clearly had been found. It was too much of a coincidence for my friend to not link it to me saying my goddess was giving me a gift.
Unfortunately, these events really scared my friend. She told her parents. That night, my friend’s father, who was a rather intimidating man, came to my house and yelled at me in front of my mom. My mother was confused, since she did not know what had happened earlier that day.
My friend’s parents never got over it. They assumed I was lying and telling stories that scared their daughter. They treated me quite badly after that. This is too often the lot of many psychic children. We are frequently accused of lying or exaggerating, among other things.
A Ghostly Intervention For A Stubborn Pair
I’ve had many strange paranormal occurrences in my life, but the most recent one really takes the cake!
My talkative Libra husband was on a marathon 3-hour call with a friend, when a wondrous thing happened during their conversation. A strange, ethereal voice cut-in and actually cursed my husband out, repeatedly!
The call was on speaker phone, and I was downstairs in my kitchen, hearing the entire discourse.
“What is going on up there?” I called out.
“You heard that?”
“Of course I heard that. It’s beyond creepy.”
His friend heard nothing on his end and thought my husband was playing some kind of a prank on him.
Then the eerie voice returned, this time calling him a horse’s hindquarters.
“It just happened again!” he shouted.
“I know…I heard that. I’m coming up there now to record it,” I said.
All the while, his friend continued to hear nothing on his end.
I hit the record button on my cell and waited…but crickets ensued. There was absolutely nothing, so eventually I went back downstairs, somewhat disappointed.
Of course, the moment I arrived back in my kitchen, the disgruntled spirit returned shouting the same colorful epithets, like a salty sailor! No surprise there, as my husband actually is a bit of a salty sailor himself and knows many who’ve passed in the industry.
A Morning Visitation From My Ancestors
Some of the best times I had growing up was visiting my great grandparents during the summer holidays. It was not only fun, but also spiritual and magical. It really helped me to connect with the higher powers that be.
My great grandma was a very magical woman. Her mother was a psychic who would dream the winning lottery numbers for people. She was known as a wise intuitive and many people were jealous of her for many reasons. Legend has it that she used to make wine for Italian mobsters and even had the infamous Al Capone visit her home a few times. She was a happy little Italian lady, who always did everything and everything she could for her kids.
My great grandfather came over from Italy and he was a very stern, powerful man who only spoke Italian. He also made wine and he was much older than my grandma. I think there was a 20-year age difference.
Often, while talking to my great grandma, the lights would begin to flicker in the house and my grandpa, who was an electrician by trade, would then tell me that spirit connects with us through electricity. I thought it was cool and would try to make contact with my ancestors when I was alone.
Grandpa also promised me that when he died, he would come back to visit me. And he did. I shared that whole experience in a previous blog.
Earlier today, during my daily spiritual practice my great grandparents, as well as my grandparents all came to visit me again. We remain interconnected to this day. It is so great to be able to have these mediumship experiences. I saw their faces, surrounded by a pure white light. I could feel the blissful warmth of their love.
Curiosity Killed The Cat
Actress Lynn Kellogg recently passed at the age of 77, due to complications of COVID-19. She passed on November 12th, 2020, under the same moon phase that she was born under, namely a Waning Cresent Moon.
I have very fond childhood memories of Ms Kellogg. I loved to watch her every single Saturday morning on the educational television show, Animals, Animals, Animals. In the series, she sang various songs about the animals, as well as the opening theme song. Kellogg is however most famous for her role as Sheila in the original Broadway production of Hair in 1968.
I was not aware of her passing, until only a few days ago, when I had a surprising spirit visitation from her. At first, I was not sure exactly who she was, but she used my most vivid memories of the kids’ television show to remind me. She then said she had messages for those she loved, and those who loved her.
The first thing that she said to me was to tell everyone I knew that “curiosity killed the cat.” She actually gave this message to me using an old Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) kids’ jingle that is deeply ingrained in my childhood memory. The PBS commercial featured a cat, a trash can, a kite and a lightning bolt, and the voiceover at the end said, “Curiosity, It’s Electrifying!” I often used to say it out loud when I was little girl.
I asked her the meaning of this unusual message. “Do not be so curious and restless in these times,” she showed me. “Do not go out unnecessarily in these difficult days. It is not worth endangering your life.” This made little sense to me at that moment, until I later found out that it was reported in the news that her husband says she contracted the novel coronavirus while attending a social gathering, at which most attendants did not wear masks.
Later that evening, I was supposed to go out with friends who invited me for card games, dinner and movie night, but because of Lynn Kellogg’s message, I decided not to go. I later heard that several of the guests tested positive for Covid-19 after that get-together. It was a bittersweet mediumship experience, but I was spared thanks to Ms Kellogg’s message.
Mediumship Messages From Dearly Departed Pets
When I connect with the souls of deceased pets, I find they are often very eager to let their humans know that they are doing perfectly fine, since their transition to spirit. This is especially true in cases where euthanasia was the last resort.
Pet owners tend to second-guess having to make such a decision, and they often hold on to a lot of guilt. We humans tend to over-think these matters. Was it the right thing to do?
I have also had instances where a pet left this world due to some random accident for which the owner feels responsible, even when they know on a rational level that they were powerless to have prevented the incident.
In mediumship readings the animals are always insistent in letting their beloved humans know that they are now in a good place, and doing well. They often also relay how, upon their arrival, they had been greeted or welcomed to the other side by the human’s departed loved ones and other pets.
Our animal friends will sometimes also come through with humorous evidence to validate that it is indeed them. For example, just last week a client contacted me about her beloved dog Hagrid, who had passed just four days prior. Mu schedule at the time did not allow me to read for her for a couple of days, but boy was Hagrid insistent that I give her some reassurance in the interim! He kept coming into my mind, no matter what I was busy with, and until I had delivered each message, he wasn’t going to let up.
For example, he kept showing me a bird bath, while telling me that it needs a much deeper cleaning. At first, I felt uneasy contacting my client with such an odd, frivolous message. She was already in so much grief, I certainly didn’t want to bother her with something that seemed so silly and irrelevant. For all I knew, she might live in an apartment and not even have a garden, let alone own a bird bath!
Halloween Is A Good Time To Ponder The Afterlife
All of us have lost, or will in time lose someone very dear to us. Like it or not, all of us also have to ponder the concept of life after death at some point in our life. Some of us have very strong beliefs on the subject, one way or the other. We either believe in the afterlife, or we do not.
For me the answer is simple and easy. I strongly believe, because of both my personal and professional experiences. For example, I have been visited many times by my grandparents, and I have communicated with many loved ones in spirit in my daily work, when I do readings for my clients.
My grandma often communicates with me in the dream state. She tends to show up when I least expect it, usually to give me a guiding message or to warn me about something. She always has been a worrier, in this life and the next! Right up to the very day she departed this life, she was telling us what to do to keep safe, and she was always giving us good advice. She is very wise.
I was asking her just the other day to give me a sign that she was around, and sure enough, she did. But this time she did not show up in a dream. She spoke to me…through a teddy bear! Yes, indeed.
It is one of those plush toys that makes a cute kissing sound and says, “I love you very much,” when you squeeze it. I was in the tub and this little teddy bear was right next to me, on top of a shelf. After drawing the bath, I was leaning back in the soothing, warm water, letting out a sigh of relief that a long day was over. Next thing you know, this teddy bear goes off on its own, making the kissing sounds and saying I love you, over and over. I knew right away that it was grandma making contact.
