Developing Your Spirit Communication Skills
Spirit communication is the process of sending and receiving information to and from the spirit realm. This process can sometimes be overwhelming for individuals. The spirit realm and nature sends us inspiration, messages, comfort and guidance. In every moment of every day we receive information. Are we deciphering that information correctly? Are we also clear in our requests to Spirit?
There are many ways spirit communicates with us. For example, a synchronistic song playing on the radio, which we associate with a loved one in Spirit; unusual behaviors, or unexpected appearances of animals, birds or insects; seeing so-called ‘angel numbers’ or synchronistic clock times like 11:11 or 12:12; Ouija board messages, as well as Tarot and oracle card signs; pendulum dowsing; and dreams.
Then there are messages relayed by intuitives, psychics and mediums during professional readings, using the clair senses, channeling, divination and mediumship. These modes of communication can be natural for some, but also a developed skill for others.
Were you a child that had imaginary friends or saw relatives who were dead? If so, then you have the innate capability pre-developed, but you may need to enhance and strengthen your communication ability. Not to become a professional psychic reader, but to be better connected in life. Strengthening comes through discipline, commitment and a passion to be of service.
Connecting With Deceased Loved Ones
When a loved one dies, it is never easy. It is always traumatic to lose someone who we have lived with, taken care of, loved and nurtured – be it a partner, spouse, parent, sibling, relative or friend. The feeling of them suddenly no longer being here can be devastating. Even their little quirks, which sometimes annoyed you when they were alive, is forever missed. We suddenly miss everything about them!
Thankfully, the spirit of those we love remain very much alive after their passing. Despite the ‘vehicle they drove around in,’ namely their physical body, may no longer be around, their spirit is still around. They can hear and see us, and they can feel our emotions.
I can tell you that when we call our loved one’s name, they are with us. When we pray for them, they appreciate it. Greatly. The two best things you can do is pray for your loved ones and say their name out loud. Continue to talk to them. And when you talk to them, they respond through sending you thoughts and signs. They also come to us in the dream state when we are sleeping. Write them a letter and put it under your pillow, and try to remember your astral travels the next day.
Your loved ones are never far from you. Love is the energy that keeps us connected with our loved ones. Sometimes they will give you a little visit. Remember to ask and you shall receive. Knock and that door will open.
Awakening Soul To Soul
Awaken Soul to Soul, a 2012 spiritual documentary explores how the current global shift and our personal crises are an impetus to awaken to oneness. The film asks us to examine our deepest levels of connection as a solution to the problems we all face. We can’t possibly begin to solve the common ills of the world unless we realize our shared humanity and spirituality. But how to begin this journey, to awaken our own souls?
One step we can all take is to discover our own spiritual gifts and use them in constructive ways. Intuition, or ‘knowing without knowing,’ for example, is a quality we all have to some degree. Learning to listen to our intuition, or inner guidance, through practice and meditation, will connect us to our own soul, as well as that of others.
This process may involve distancing ourselves from toxicity, including people, places or things with negative energies, as well as the hectic pace and sensory onslaught of the modern world (social media, television news). The psychic part of us, like any other part of our body and soul, does not function at full effect if it is unhealthy.
Becoming aware of our own healing ability, as well as our metaphysical creativity, is also part of the awakening soul. Learning Reiki, or aura reading, for example, will develop extra-sensory gifts, while sharing them with others. Something as simple as creative journaling or free form poetry can be a spiritual release and an awakening of the subconscious.
The Power Of Observation
In this busy world we rarely take the time to observe things around us. Most people see and feel things only through their own personal lens. Of course, it is only normal to identify with your own feelings and the things you have seen, heard or experienced. But sometimes so much of what we believe as reality is the only way we will accept it. It is necessary in some situations to take a step back and observe a situation, look at all sides of it and try to remain neutral.
I have worked with some clients in my hypnosis practice who just can’t seem to look at a situation from a different perspective. It is much easier for people to observe someone that looks much like them on a television screen playing out a scenario. They may see, feel even hear things that could not be recalled at the time of the event. Another way is to view the scene in a different way in order to rewrite the script to achieve a different outcome by observing. The incident with a different outcome may show the possibility of different realities.
For example, when there is a car accident and four or five people witness and observe it. When questioned, the people usually all have a very different account of what happened. Through their own personal lenses they believe it as gospel. But is it really?
Comfort In The Arms Of An Angel
I often use one of the rooms at the local library to meet with new clients. Recently, while I was waiting in the library’s cafeteria for a client to arrive, I noticed a radiant light coming in. It was shining on a very old lady seated just across from me. I then noticed there wasn’t a window at all near either of us!
Soon it became clear to me that this unusual light that was shining down from Heaven. Then there appeared also an angel, standing right by her side. As my sight focused I could make out more of the angel, and I also noticed that the old lady was seated in a wheelchair. she had an oxygen tank attached to the wheel chair. She was with a younger women, who looked to be her daughter.
I did not notice much else, just how amazing the light was and how beautiful her angel or guide was behind her. I sensed it was there to comfort her, as she was in a lot of pain and probably would not remain long in this world.
I then realized it was time to leave to meet my client in one of the private rooms, but as I was leaving the cafeteria I heard someone calling my name. I stopped, turned around and saw it was the old lady’s daughter calling my name as she walked towards me. She then told me we went to school together and I immediately recognized her!
Opening Your Third Eye
The Third Eye has been known since ancient times to be a gateway to psychic ability. It is known in the psychic field for its role in deep intuition and spiritual clarity.
Many experts further associate the pineal gland, a tiny organ in the brain, next to the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, with the Third Eye. Biologically, this gland serves a number of essential functions, from circadian rhythms to the regulation of hormones.
We can maximize this tiny, but critical part of our spiritual being, by ‘opening’ and activating the Third Eye completely. Some experts believe that detoxification, specifically from calcium phosphate, is necessary to awaken its higher functions. Calcium phosphate is a chemical found in many of the foods we eat, as well as associated with fluoride found in drinking water.
Over time, as the pineal gland becomes calcified, we lose the ability to see the world as it truly is – unified with the spirit realm. It is the spiritual equivalent of a pair of glasses with scratched or clouded lenses. Eating a nourishing, beneficial assortment of foods, as well as drinking purified water, will help to rid the body of the toxins that has accumulated in the pineal gland and therefore clouds the Third Eye. A variety of organic supplements and essential oils, when added to an improved diet, can also speed the process.
Opal – The Powerful Seeing Jewel
Opal is known as the ‘seeing jewel.’ Its name originates from the Latin word opalus. I was told this by the owner of a beautiful crystal store in South Africa. Most Opal he said can be as much as 65 million years old! The stone contains a high percentage of water, which creates a play of color through light, and a sparkly phenomena.
Opal’s energy represents both the higher emotional body and higher mental body. This jewel adds light to the aura and helps to bring buried emotions to the surface. When I bought my first Opal from an interesting lady at a psychic fayre, she told me that the name originates from the Sanskrit writings and means ‘precious stone.’ It is amongst the most popular of stones sold throughout the ages.
The lady in question was from the Far East and said that in her culture Opal is a holy stone that holds the spirit of truth within. She added that the Greeks believed it provided protection from illness and the power of prophesy. She told me that Opal carries the energy of the Moon and water, and that it would enhance my psychic awareness. She also warned of its use in any rituals, because of its powerful energy.
