In The Powerful Presence Of The Maiden Goddess
Many centuries have come and gone since the Athenians ascended the Acropolis to seek the guidance and protection of Athena, the maiden goddess of wisdom, war and divine intelligence. Her status as the favorite daughter of Zeus, and powerful patron deity of the city of Athens, remains evident to this day.
Expecting to be mostly drawn to the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus, when I visited the Acropolis of Athens in Greece*, I was instead keenly aware of the omnipresence of Athena’s legacy. My undergraduate education in literature and drama afforded me a reasonably good understanding of the role of the god Dionysus in ancient Greek culture. I was very excited that my journey began under one of the most rare and powerful aspects in astrology, namely the Grand Sextile, or Star of David. The ancients associated this unique alignment of six planets with the birth and anointing of a king. This rare alignment of the planets occurred on July 29th, 2013. I had been wanting to write this for some time, hoping to use the right words to say this. I feel the time is now.
Recently, we celebrated another Father’s Day in many countries all over the world. For the seventh year in a row I did not see my son, Raymond. Yes, as always I got my hopes up, only to be disappointed again. I usually try to prepare myself days in advance, to get myself out of a bad attitude for knowing that he won’t be around.
I am sure there many fathers or mothers who do not get to see their children. I was a good father, and I know that no one can take that away from me. Father’s Day is a lot harder to me than Thanksgiving or even Christmas, because that one day out of the year is to honor your parents. Until Death Do Us Not Depart
Physical death is not the death of the love you have for someone. When we die we continue to love all those we have ever loved in life and in all our past lives.
When someone you love dies they do not stop loving you, they continue to love you. I can say I am 100% sure that the love two people have for one another does not die after death. I would be willing to bet that that love is even intensified and maybe even deeper then the love the person had for you in life.
How do I know this you ask? I have had several conversations about life after death with my grandfather who told me many times if he could come back he would – he promised me this. He did come to me after he died and I was able to tell him I loved him, and it was definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had. Continue reading
Why Do People Judge Others?
Why do people judge others? Have you ever walked down the street and someone would give you a weird look? Have you ever been in a store and someone would discuss you behind your back?
The reason I feel the need to be bring this up is because I get many calls on a daily basis where a client would tell me how someone has judged them or said something to hurt their feelings.
A week ago I had a caller who was upset, because the person who judged her believed that he can walk on water, and whatever he does in life… he is better than others. I felt bad for my client and I told her that she is better than what this man was telling her. He was trying to push her buttons. I feel when someone puts another person down by judging them, it is because they are trying to make themselves feel better. Continue reading
Faith In Faith
George Michael sang about it, prayers have been written about it, songs have been sung about it… and yet it remains a mystery to so many. So, I put forth this question to you: what is faith and where does it come from?
Right now there is either silence on your end, or a rapid fire response. Or maybe you are saying, “Well, let me think about it.”
They say faith moves mountains, but then that begs the question: do you have Faith in faith? That’s a different concept altogether – one that must be looked at.
It’s easy to go to your preferred place of worship on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, or whenever it is that you attend. Lovely. Absolutely. Without a doubt. There you show your faith.
