The Planets Affect Us In Fascinating Ways
Few people believe that the planetary movements have an effect on their fortune, health and life events. Oh, how wrong they are.
Most people acknowledge the fact that the Moon and Sun direct the oceans, but they ignore links between the planets and human behavior and well-being.
Here is a list of just ten fascinating ways in which the planets affect us:
1. Surgery at the time of a Full Moon carries a much greater risk of severe bleeding
2. More babies are conceived under a waxing Moon
3. Sun spots interfere with communication equipment

Reiki Healing
Reiki is a form of healing and spiritual development. This natural healing method has been around for years. Reiki is known worldwide because of the many benefits people experience.
I am sometimes asked during readings to explain what Reiki is and how it is used. Reiki is basically a Japanese form of healing using your hands to manipulate energy and remove blockages in energy flow. Reiki offer many health benefits, including stress reduction, relaxation and wellness.
Reiki reduces the tension that is caused by stress, and this can help to lower blood pressure and improve sleeping habits. It will also make you think more clearly, so better judgment is used in everyday life. Reiki promotes wholeness of your body, mind and spirit. The Year Of The Snake
Happy New Year! Today heralds the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Snake. Each year in the Chinese Zodiac New Year’s day falls on a different date, and this year’s date is February 10, 2013.
The Snake Year comes sixth in the cycle of the zodiac and reoccurs every 12th year. This means that you are a Snake if you were born in 1941, 1953, 1965, 1989 or 2001. Ancient Chinese wisdom states that if you have a snake in your house your family will never go hungry, because a snake is said to be sage, wise and a good protector of his or her family’s belongings and home.
The Chinese Zodiac is a lunar-based calendar and the Chinese New Year is sometimes referred to as The Lunar New Year. The cycle flows as follows: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Hare, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar. Read the rest of this entry »
Intuitive Color Meditations For Healing
Color and color healing is a powerful tool that you can use on yourself and also apply to you environment, and to help those you love.
We vibrate to color. Our chakras have different colors, as do our auras, and these are constantly changing based on our circumstances, mood, and health.
Science has caught up with the spiritual arts with clinical trials that use blue light-emitting diode (LED) lights for wound healing and treating some mood disorders, as well as infra red for mood disorders. The Ayurvedic system of healing goes further, incorporating the use of gemstones, which is also color based, for healing, and mood enhancement.
I like to teach people to work intuitively with color as a starting point, rather than teaching a prescribed color therapy system, as I feel this develops more of an initial feel for color. One can find a formal system later, if so desired. Read the rest of this entry »

Grounding For Emotional Healing
We all have had experiences of emotional scarring in our lives. This is simply part of being human and it is also part of the growing and learning experience. However, ways exist in which you can encourage healing and reduction of trauma.
The first step in emotional healing is to recognize that everything in life, every decision, every relationship, every dream has its place in the ongoing path to wholeness. Recognize and feel your own pain. Accept this pain as part of your path. Then, let it go.
As you allow yourself to feel, rather than deny or suffocate your feelings, a calmness and peace will descend upon you. You must feel the emotions to learn the lessons you are meant to learn. Through denial, victimization, blaming and other defense mechanisms, we often deny ourselves the ability to learn and thus we must learn the same lesson another way. Read the rest of this entry »
Setting Intentions Successfully
I have discovered at different times in my life how powerful intention, when guided from the heart, can be. Again, more recently, I experienced this when it was important for me to manifest some prosperity for my family and get my own health issues back on track.
I was specific in setting my intention regarding the amount of money I needed to manifest in order to meet my family’s needs. I also set the intention to attract to me the information which would help me heal and return my sense of well-being.
Intention is a motivational force of energy and it’s a force to be reckoned with when our intention is for the highest good of all individuals involved. When we set our intention, we are focusing on positive visualizations and affirmations to help steer our lives in a desired direction. Read the rest of this entry »
Blessing Your Food And Drink
I always think a cup of coffee or a sandwich tastes special when someone else prepared it. Perhaps it was made with good intention?
If a meal or a beverage is prepared with love, the very intention behind the preparation has to be more beneficial to our system and to our sense of well-being. This idea has often occurred to me over the years and there was confirmation of this in various Buddhist articles I happened to stumble across.
Just like our body, mind and spirit, food is made of energy. Energy is further transmitted by touch, and good or bad energy can be transmitted by contact. Even without speaking, subtle invisible thought-forms can also pass from one person to another when one person prepares food and another eats it.
So, as your sensitivity increases with your spiritual growth, blessing your food will be especially important if you consume foodstuff or beverages prepared by strangers. If you just think about how many people are involved in negative pursuits, doing a blessing only makes sense. Low vibration foodstuffs also originate where they’ve been genetically altered, not to mention livestock reared in terrible conditions. Read the rest of this entry »
