Humanity has been evolving for thousands of years. Throughout recorded history, we’ve gained collective epigenetic wisdom in our cellular memory and the evolution of our DNA. This collective wisdom, or shared consciousness, has resulted in humanity’s greatest strengths and weakest shortcomings that are so evident today.
It is also now culminating in a global energetic transmutation and higher consciousness awakening that is gradually gaining momentum and will ultimately lead to our emergence from collective suffering. The Age of Pisces is ending and we are entering the new Age of Aquarius. The Age of Pisces was characterized by the energies of hierarchy, authority, patriarchy and dogmatic religion. In contrast, with the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, we are moving into a new era of enlightenment, unity and a more spiritually evolved global society. Humanity is throwing off the shackles of suffering, sadness and submission and stepping into the joys of assertiveness, empowerment and equality.
The Old Age of Pisces
The concept of the astrological ages of Pisces and Aquarius is rooted in ancient astrology, and each age lasts approximately 2,150 to 2,200 years, marking a period during which the vernal equinox passes through one of the twelve zodiacal signs.
The Age of Pisces is symbolized by the fish and is associated with themes of sacrifice, organized religion, and hierarchical structures. It has woven a profound tapestry of human experience, guiding us through the currents of sacrifice, suffering, and religiosity. Our collective consciousness has been shaped by the Piscean energies of this era, providing us with a lens through which to perceive adversity and transcendence.

There will be an increasing emphasis on personal freedom, social justice and environmental awareness.

This era encourages us to transcend our previous limitations, tap into higher states of consciousness, and explore the interconnectedness of all beings in the universe. Alternative Healing: The acceptance and promotion of alternative healing practices such as energy healing, crystal therapy, meditation, and other holistic approaches to wellness.
Higher Values: Humanity is moving away from materialism, consumerism, and self-centered pursuits toward values that prioritize spiritual well-being, compassion, and the collective good.
Egalitarian Values: More egalitarian and compassionate social structures with an emphasis on love, understanding, and cooperation as guiding principles.
Non-Traditional Spirituality: Openness to a wide range of spiritual beliefs and practices, drawing inspiration from diverse religious and mystical traditions, as well as esoteric and occult teachings.

The Age of Aquarius offers us the opportunity to redefine our relationship with ourselves, with each other, and with the universe as a whole.
Timing Of The Transition
All of the above seems really great! But there is one small problem: no one knows for sure when exactly the Age of Pisces will end and when exactly the new Age of Aquarius will be in full swing. According to many astrologers and psychics, we are already transitioning from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius, but the exact timing of this transition is not universally agreed upon. The timing of the transition cannot be precisely defined, and opinions vary as to when and how quickly this shift will occur.
In astrological terms, the Age of Aquarius is based on the astronomical precession of the equinoxes, which is a gradual and continuous shift in the Earth’s axial rotation. Essentially, the Earth’s axis undergoes a slow, cyclical wobble over a period of about 26,000 years. During this precessional cycle, the apparent position of the vernal equinox (the point at which the Sun crosses the celestial equator from south to north) slowly shifts along the ecliptic, the apparent path of the Sun across the sky. The ecliptic is divided into twelve constellations, each corresponding to about 30 degrees of celestial longitude.
Currently, the vernal equinox is still in the zodiacal sign of Pisces, based on the tropical zodiac commonly used in Western astrology. However, due to the precession of the equinoxes, the vernal equinox is gradually moving from Pisces to Aquarius, which it will not fully reach until around the year 2600 A.D., which is approximately 576 years in the future (from the year 2024) based on the Gregorian calendar.
Astrologers however do not agree on the timing and therefore place the Age of Aquarius anywhere between the 20th and 22nd centuries. Some suggest that it began as early as 2012, while others believe that the Age of Aquarius is yet to arrive. Many view it not as a specific date, but instead a gradual shift. They see its influence as growing over time rather than a sudden transition. Even within specific methodologies, there is disagreement about the exact date. Moreover, the dates themselves only mark the astrological shift; the real-world changes associated with the age may not always align perfectly. The exact date or timing of the transition remains open to interpretation.
Embracing The Aquarian Frequency
The good news is that we do not have to wait decades or even centuries for the energies of the new age to unfold in our lives. We can begin now to work on our own auric energy vibration to get to that frequency personally sooner. I imagine that this personal spiritual journey is like a merge sign for a highway on-ramp. You have to merge gradually in the right direction; you cannot just flip your car off the bridge and onto a new path!
This gradual transcendental merging can be achieved through various lifestyle strategies and spiritual practices. Here are some you can explore to help you raise your energy vibration and embrace the dawning of the new Age of Aquarius:

The Babysitter’s Near-Death Experience
While I was working out at the gym one day, I saw a little old lady who used to babysit me and my brothers when we were little children. I will never the wonderful times we had with her. She was always making it so much fun. She wasn’t on the phone all the time or watching television. She wasn’t ignoring us kids like so many of the other babysitters my mother sometimes hired for us.
When I spotted her and her daughter in the gym, I walked over to greet her, and told her that I remember her very well. I also thanked her for giving me some wonderful memories and teaching me so many valuable life lessons. The one thing I specifically remember her telling me was to always be careful about what we “put into our minds.”At a young age she had already made me realize that what we think about can either help us or harm us. I have always held on to that wisdom in my life. Because it is truly worth more than gold.
One time, I asked her how she knew so much about things. She looked at me and said,“Moon, you know what, I died once.”
“What? No way!” I responded. I went to catholic school growing up, and near-death experiences were certainly not the kind of thing we were learning about in class.
“Yes, I was in the hospital,” she continued. “I had a major operation and I could not wake up afterwards.” Apparently, she had flatlined during surgery and they had struggled to revive her.
“I am very lucky to be here,” she said and then shared some very interesting things with me about her near-death experience (NDE). I still remember that when she first left her body her parents were both there to meet her and she could hear loved ones on the other side of the tunnel having fun. Blessed With The Knowing Of The Divine Feminine
In the Greek myth of Pandora’s Box, an inquisitive woman decides to open a mysterious jar left in the care of her husband. In the process, she releases the many curses of sickness, suffering and death upon humanity. Pandora desperately tried to close the lid of the jar, before all the evils of this world escaped, but it was too late. Only one item remained, and that was hope.
In the similar Biblical tale of Adam and Eve, an inquisitive woman is enticed to eat the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, causing the fall from grace of humanity. As a result, all sorts of sicknesses, struggles, and sin have been afflicting humanity ever since.
As we shift from the astrological Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius, achieving increased spiritual awareness and enlightenment will become one of humanity’s greatest improvements. We will become more certain of our soul’s destiny, safety, and calling, and no longer have to work through our petty human fears and worries by leaning on the crutches of dogmatic religion and the uncertainty of Pandora’s hope.
With sufficient spiritual practice and energy work, hope can be transformed into a simple knowing, and faith or belief can become complete conviction. One’s soul purpose becomes defined, opening the crown chakra like a sports dome at a baseball game. We become sure of our calling and destiny. We are ready to enjoy the blessings.
Through our daily self-care journey and meditation, we can purify the crown chakra to magnify our purpose. We can stay calm in even the most difficult circumstances. We become a benefit to society at large, creating a shelter for those less fortunate.
If we dare to raise our vibrations significantly, we may help humanity, the offspring of Eve and Pandora. Not everyone is blessed to have the wisdom or resources to ascend. We can be the helping hands for those souls, helping them, guiding them to enlightened knowing and spiritual wisdom.
Let Us Be Kind To One Another
We live in a strange world where we place so much importance on who we know, what we own, what we be believe, who we vote for, and (as silly as it is) what we look like. Instead, we all should be placing more value and importance on how we treat one another, and not be so unkind, selfish, and judgmental. Not to mention all the distractions created by modern technology and materialistic pursuits.
It is very hard for anyone to be truly spiritually aware and live a life of higher consciousness in today’s mad world. Living in a holy way, like the Saints of the Catholic faith, is almost completely out of reach these days. The Saints got it right first time around, and they are an example of how to live in a selfless, ‘do unto others’ kind of way.
We will ultimately be held accountable for every thought, word, action and deed. I think it is very egotistic to think that all that is needed is one lifetime around and then ‘ta-da,’ you get granted entry to eternal bliss. Just for claiming your are religious, a ‘good person,’ or spiritually ‘evolved’? Never! Doesn’t work like that.
Do you consider yourself a saint? None of us are. I certainly don’t consider myself one; not by a long shot. But one does notice the self-righteous attitudes of some among us, like they are better than the rest. Spirit doesn’t condone that kind of pride one bit.
Faith and spirituality is indeed a personal choice for every person. But there are some undeniable, eternal truths and universal laws that apply to all of us, no matter what we choose to be believe or who or what we worship.
For me faith and spirituality is about believing and doing what the Bible recommends. But it is not just about attending church services on Sundays, and then going against God’s Word the other six days. It’s about being humble, being pure of heart and mind, and being kind to one another. We are all connected and until we begin treating everyone as our neighbor we shall know no lasting peace or harmony.
Navigating Energy Challenges – Manual Versus Automatic
I had always been fascinated with driving a stick shift car, as my dad drove several such vehicles in my childhood years. On our third date, my ex-husband took me to an empty parking lot and showed me the ropes on how to drive a stick shift. However, despite his valiant attempt to teach me, I failed miserably.
I reflected on this experience recently, synthesizing an analogy to what I had experienced twenty-five years ago, and found an interesting correlation with my chakra recovery journey.
Also known as Kundalini awakening, the chakra recovery process has not been an easy one for me. I literally felt like I was going to die on many occasions. Six years into this journey, I still incorporate daily energy self-care in the form of meditation, visualization, Epsom salt baths, aromatherapy, and other spiritual practices.
But I have noticed progress! My mind is so much clearer these days, and my sleep more efficient. Most of all, I radiate more kindness, truth, and an open mind of late. And I do believe the best is yet to come!
This reminded me of the ease with which one usually drives an automatic transmission vehicle. To me this is analogous to the ultimate goal of spiritual self-care: to be able to harness the energy of a fully-tuned, balanced chakra system and apply it to everyday life. A person naturally flowing with energy is able to handle more challenging situations with greater ease. Once the crown chakra starts to open, this is when innovative, eternal wisdom flows through. Then we can begin to grasp the rhythm and precision necessary to operate our energy more fluidly and automatically, instead of like a ‘stick shift.’
Eye Gazing As A Spiritual Practice
Eye gazing is a powerful, ancient practice in which two people engage in a shared meditation practice during which eye contact is maintained for an extended period of time. Eye gazing is usually done for about ten minutes at a time, although it can certainly be any duration preferred.
Eye gazing can be used to access past life information, promote healing, connect to your higher self, guides, or angels, and almost anything else you can imagine. The eyes are the windows to our soul, and our soul is the singularity that connects us to everything else: the Universe, Source, God, the Divine. Eye gazing is also a profound manifesting tool we can use to further develop our ‘spiritual muscles,’ so to speak.
Before you include eye gazing in your spiritual practice, I recommend you read my previous blog on the essentials of eye gazing. Once you are more familiar with the basics, you can also apply the following guidelines to your eye gazing practice.
To use eye gazing for a specific purpose, you must set a clear intention beforehand, and then hold that intention throughout the gaze. You hold an intention by simply keeping a gentle awareness in the back of your mind that what you are seeing during the gaze is relevant to your intention, and trusting that whatever comes forward is always relevant.
It’s important not to simultaneously hold any expectations about what you’re going to see, or to resist anything that comes up spontaneously, just because you don’t immediately see its relevance or connection to your intention. Keep an open mind and be flexible and accepting in the flow of your gazing experience.
If you’re gazing alone, sit comfortably in front of a mirror, take a few centering breaths, and then state your intention out loud. I prefer to speak aloud in my spiritual practice whenever possible, as words are energy forms and therefore add a ‘weight’ to our prayer requests, intentions, and affirmations. State your intention out loud and ask Spirit to provide insight around this intention. Use language that feels right for you.
The Many Deaths And Rebirths In Your Lifetime
You have already died many deaths. Many versions of you will ‘die’ in this lifetime. And, many versions of you will be reborn.
Of course, you have also passed through the veil between this life and the next for many past lives. But in this case, I am referring to ‘deaths’ we suffer in this lifetime.
We can identify these dramatic changes, transitions, shifts, or ‘deaths’ in our astrological chart. Your Saturn Return, for example, occurs around the time of our 30th birthday. Our Saturn Return forces us to take an honest look at everything we may have been avoiding until now. It forces us to make much needed changes and improvements. It is the ending of our youth and the birth of our new adult self.
We do not remain the same person throughout our lifetime. Our goals, ideas, and life lessons all serve their purpose until they are phased out to let in new information, new ideas, and new opportunities for growth. If we do this right, life keeps changing us. We continue to grow and expand.
For this purpose, it is wise to interact with people who have different beliefs, practice other religions, and have other political affiliations compared to our own. And more importantly, to really listen to them. We must allow all the information in and trust our intuition to let our beliefs and understanding of life continuously evolve.
Our life experiences constantly challenge and change our ideas, goals, and views. We are constantly shedding our old skin. Just as our body changes every day we are alive, so does our soul. We take in every experience, whether we know it or not. It’s like adding ingredients to a recipe.
Embrace these deaths and births along your life path. They are needed for your soul growth and spiritual expansion. I’ve witnessed over the years some people really fighting change and resisting growth…and it always makes them miserable. Fluidity and acceptance are spiritually essential. Simplicity will bring you inner peace.
