Tarot For Divination
The topic of divination covers a broad range of tools and techniques to access the Divine for spiritual guidance and information. Walk into any metaphysical shop or new age bookstore, and you are inundated with a plethora of ways to learn and perform the art of divination.
Tarot decks are one of the most popular divinatory tools today, and come in a variety of decks, ranging from traditional artwork, to angels, cats, Halloween decks, and more. Just about any subject you can think of, there’s sure to be a Tarot deck designed with that theme!
The Tarot tends to rise in popularity during times of great transition here on Earth. If we look back in history, during the Medieval and Renaissance periods, people were drawing upon the wisdom of the Tarot for help and guidance during times of confusion, fear, and uncertainty. The Spiritual Symbolism Of Labyrinths And Mazes
As a child I always enjoyed visiting the English Tudor homes open to the public, particularly Hampton Court, which had a maze to run into, hide in the hedgerow, get to the centre and then find my way back out. Hearing the cackle and playful squealing of other children, even bumping into others as I turned a corner, and encountering many dead ends en-route to the centre, made for a thrilling experience.
I also remember at the circus being in a maze of the hall of mirrors and trying to find my way through so many weird reflections of myself. Frustration would rise up inside of me as joy turned to brief concern or panic. Later I moved to solving mazes in the puzzle books.
There is a distinct difference between a maze and a labyrinth. Mazes are often thought to have, in earnest been established circa 13th century, with one of the most famous being Hampton Court in England. Yet, in fact, maze-like structures were found under buildings from the Roman Empire days, and even used around castles in Medieval Europe to confuse the enemy. So, mazes demonstrated or represented a challenge, it creates the potential for confusion through its many changes in direction and dead ends, forcing one to retrace ones steps. Continue reading
Angels Nearby
Ever felt a reassuring hand on your shoulder, heard your name whispered, or experienced a deep sense of love and warmth, only to turn around and see no one? That’s unmistakably the sign that an angel is nearby. Our protective angels let us know they are there… if we take the time to look.
Our angelic guardians, who see all the things we do not, want us to notice the beauty around us! Take a moment away from work, put away the electronic devices, and really observe…there is so much you probably never saw before.
One of the first and most obvious places to look is the skies. Clouds, to be specific. Finding shapes like wings, hearts, or halos in the otherwise random cloud formations is a sure sign of angelic presence. Animal shapes might appear too – some angels walk on four legs! Continue reading
Raccoon Medicine For Thanksgiving
When you see a raccoon, be it live or in a picture, what comes to mind? Is he cute and innocent looking, or does he remind you of a little outlaw? Or do you fear the creature you see?
Raccoons are indeed considered to be night varmints and scavengers. They can destroy property and be a real nuisance. However, spiritually the raccoon has a much more constructive significance and they are the perfect animal totem for Thanksgiving.
Traditionally, the raccoon, when it comes into your life, is referred to as “the one who carries the medicine of the protector of the underdog” and “the one who provides for the young, infirm and the elderly.” Because of its mask-like features, it is often unfairly referred to as The Masked Bandit, but when a raccoon comes into your space, you are being asked to contact your inner warrior, to become a protector and generous provider for those in need. The Color Palette Of Your Life
You get to choose which colors you like to have on the palette of your life – not what anyone else thinks you should have. It’s okay to paint exactly as you wish, as all great artist do. Color can empower you, color can uplift you, color can heal.
Embrace all your favorite colors, even the darker shades, including black. A lot of people fear the color black, but without the darkness of the shadows we cannot truly appreciate the light. I personally like the color black. It makes me feel good about myself. A few years ago I went to court for my divorce hearing. I had no lawyer; I chose to represent myself. I was wearing a black dress suit, with large, black leather purse. The judge took me seriously and granted all that I negotiated for. I give credit to my choice of wearing the color black. Interpreting Your Dreams
Everyone dreams. Whether it is a daydream, meditative dream or when you’re sleeping, we dream all the time. Many dreams carry symbolic energy within them, often containing spiritual messages for the dreamer. Dreams are not always easy to interpret, whenever we manage to remember them, but dream analysis can be developed as a practice. All it takes is some patience and perseverance.
The daydream or ‘awake dream’ is simply those things that you envision for your life. You may dream of a life partner, family, new house, vacation, new car, promotion at work, and so forth. I Am Soaring Free
Several years ago I was gifted my spirit name, Soaring Free, by one of my personal spirit guides of Native American decent. I have been reflecting on this for the past few weeks, as I am entering a new phase of my spirituality and higher consciousness.
Back In 2004, I had crossed a personal line in my life where self-esteem, confidence, happiness and self-love were basically non-existent. When I speak to my clients about the struggles or confusion they face on their life path and spiritual journey, or in their careers or relationships, I completely understand. I have been there myself, and I have experienced more than most. Fortunately, I have been able to overcome those challenges and I now know that anyone can overcome adversity. Continue reading
