Guiding Earthbound Souls To The Light
Early one morning I received a message from one of my clients saying that her close friend had been shot and killed before dawn that day. She wanted to know if I could try to communicate with her friend.
I suspected that it was far too early for spirit contact of any kind, but I promised to see what I could do.
Later in the day I tried to make the connection as promised. I immediately sensed that I was dealing with a soul who was stuck in this world, not quite sure where she was or what had happened after such a sudden death.
I informed my client that we needed to help her friend find her way to the other side, to the light. I asked her to assist me remotely in guiding her friend as it would help to have someone familiar present.
Her friend was still earthbound and our guidance and prayers would help her, even if she chose to stay close to her loved ones for the time being and make her presence known until they could find some peace with her sad and sudden passing.
I began our session with a calm, focused meditation, visualizing a warm, radiant light that would guide her friend. As we sent our thoughts and prayers, I felt a subtle shift in the energy around us. It was as if the room had brightened, filled with a calm, comforting presence.
My client shared some of her fondest memories of her friend, speaking with love and gratitude. This act seemed to create a powerful bridge of light, a connection that her friend’s spirit could use to find her way.
I Am Soaring Free
When I do readings for clients to help guide them through the struggles or confusion they face in their lives, I understand what they are going through. I can relate on a deeply personal level, because I have been there myself, and I have experienced more than most.
Back in 2004, I had reached a devastating point in my life where my confidence, happiness, courage and self-worth were essentially non-existent. Fortunately, I was able to overcome those challenges with the guidance of spirit, and I now know from hard-earned experience that we can overcome much adversity.
As part of this journey of growth and healing, one of my guides gave me my spiritual name: Soaring Free.
Everyone has at least three guides in their lives. There are other guides and guardians that come and go in our lives, but the primary three stay with us throughout our lives to support and guide us.
It was my main guide who gave me my spirit name in a dream. I was to be known as “Soaring Free.” When I asked what this meant, I was shown that my life was to change direction significantly and that I was to live it as if I were soaring free like an eagle every day. I received several profound messages to awaken me at that time. It brought me to a higher level of understanding (and much confusion at first) than ever before.
What was the meaning of all this, I wondered? Why did I need a new name? Were these guides coming into my life real or just my imagination? Was I losing my mind? Was I really hearing and seeing these things, or was it just my own subconscious playing tricks on me? I had many questions at the time, and so began my journey of awakening and transformation.
The Wonderful Ways We Receive Messages From Spirit
As spiritual beings on a human journey, we are constantly guided in our daily lives by the spirit realm and the divine to assist us with life decisions, karmic choices, spiritual growth, fulfillment of our purpose, and prophetic insights into the future.
Our deceased loved ones, ancestors, spirit guides, angels and the divine communicate with us constantly to provide comfort and reassurance during difficult times, to remind us that we are never alone, and that we are loved and watched over.
Spirit also imparts wisdom and knowledge to help us find closure, forgiveness, and healing. However, in order to clearly receive, interpret, and apply the wisdom of these messages, we must be mindful and cultivate a heightened spiritual awareness.
Messages from the other side also serve as a reminder of the continuity of existence beyond physical life. Our deceased loved ones want to assure us that we will be reunited with them in the afterlife and that there is an ongoing connection between that spirit realm and the physical world.
Sometimes spirit simply communicates with us to remind us that the spirit realm is all around us and easily accessible, and to encourage an open and spiritually aware life. Our ancestors and guides also aim to assist us in our spiritual journey and soul evolution. In some circumstances, spirit will also communicate with us as an act of divine intervention or intercession, to warn us of impending dangers or negative influences, and to help protect us from harm.
The Angels, Spirits And Mystical Beings That Walk Among Us
When I was very young, I had a strange dream. I was in the living room of our house, and it was very late at night. I dreamed that I went to the window. The curtains were closed, but I pushed them aside to look out. There I saw a vision that I will never forget.
In our front yard stood an old woman with white hair. She was holding what looked like a glowing rock or quartz crystal.
I remember thinking to myself that this was all very strange, that it might not be good for her to be standing there in the cold so late at night. But I also remember not feeling surprised or scared. Instead, I felt comforted and curious at the same time.
Then the old lady turned around, as if she had noticed me. But instead of looking at me, she bent down, gently dropped the glowing crystal on the grass, and walked away.
Twenty years later, I was at the checkout counter in a supermarket and noticed an unusual old lady nearby. Something about her told me she was a very special soul. We are all unique, of course, but this lady was definitely not from around here! She was wearing vintage fashion that was clearly from the 1920s. Before I could figure out why she drew my attention, she started walking toward me.
The Difference Between Ghosts And Spirits
The terms “ghost” and “spirit” are often used interchangeably, but there are significant differences in how they’re traditionally understood.
Over the years, I have found that it is quite common for people to sometimes confuse ghosts with the spirits of their deceased loved ones, primarily because both concepts involve entities that are no longer living in the physical world.
However, understanding the distinction between these two types of entities is important for those seeking comfort, closure, or communication with the afterlife, especially in the context of mediumship readings and spiritualism.
Our emotional connection to the deceased often influences how we interpret paranormal experiences. Grief, longing, and love can make us more receptive to signs and spiritual energies that we believe are from our deceased loved ones.
Without a clear understanding of the differences between ghosts and spirits, any unusual paranormal activity may be misinterpreted as evidence of a loved one’s presence.
While both ghosts and spirits are spiritual phenomena related to the survival of human consciousness beyond the death of the physical body, there are distinct differences in these two types of entities’ connection to the physical world and their level of progression or transition into the afterlife.
The Difference Between Spirit Guides And Angels
From the beginning of my psychic career, the information in my readings has always come from both spirit guides and angels. I find that the energy of these two types of spirit beings are very similar in the way they present themselves, but there are different nuances in the messages they convey.
In the early days, I never gave much thought to the “technical” differences between spirit guides and angelic guides until a client asked me about it. I then decided to investigate by asking my guides and angels directly in my daily meditations. I believe it’s always best to go straight to the source, don’t you?
The information I received from Spirit turned out to be very enlightening and even a little surprising, making it easier for me to explain it to people ever since. Over the years of doing many spirit guided readings, I gradually gained a deeper understanding of how these benevolent spirit beings guide us in our life journey.
Spirit guides and angels are spiritual beings who offer guidance, support and protection to humanity, but they have slightly different roles and characteristics. The two main distinctions that has been shown to me are that spirit guides have lived human lives before, while angels have not, and that spirit guides support us in our daily human lives and earthly affairs, while angelic guides provide us with higher wisdom, spiritual guidance, and divine protection.
Your Divine Duty To Not Be A Goofus!
Why are some people so rude, unkind, emotionally immature, foolish? Are we not all spirit beings in human form who should know better? I recently asked my wise grandmother in spirit this question. As one of my ancestral guides, I always turn to her for help in dealing with complex life issues.
The person who inspired my recent spiritual inquiry is a very problematic, mean-spirited neighbor who I have seen and heard verbally abuse people, as well as his own dog, in ways that would infuriate anyone.
This man seems to enjoy verbal abuse as a means of self-aggrandizement and is very immature and unkind. I have also seen him damage a security camera after being asked to stop his dog from relieving himself on the steps of the building where we live.
I connected with my grandmother during my morning meditation and asked her why some people are so disrespectful and unkind. Her answer seemed strange at first because she showed me a mental image of Highlights, the children’s magazine she used to subscribe to for me when I was a child. It is a well-known kids’ magazine full of fun, educational stories, games, puzzles, and crafts that has been around for decades.
