Connecting With Deceased Loved Ones
When a loved one dies, it is never easy. It is always traumatic to lose someone who we have lived with, taken care of, loved and nurtured – be it a partner, spouse, parent, sibling, relative or friend. The feeling of them suddenly no longer being here can be devastating. Even their little quirks, which sometimes annoyed you when they were alive, is forever missed. We suddenly miss everything about them!
Thankfully, the spirit of those we love remain very much alive after their passing. Despite the ‘vehicle they drove around in,’ namely their physical body, may no longer be around, their spirit is still around. They can hear and see us, and they can feel our emotions.
I can tell you that when we call our loved one’s name, they are with us. When we pray for them, they appreciate it. Greatly. The two best things you can do is pray for your loved ones and say their name out loud. Continue to talk to them. And when you talk to them, they respond through sending you thoughts and signs. They also come to us in the dream state when we are sleeping. Write them a letter and put it under your pillow, and try to remember your astral travels the next day.
Your loved ones are never far from you. Love is the energy that keeps us connected with our loved ones. Sometimes they will give you a little visit. Remember to ask and you shall receive. Knock and that door will open.
Why Do Only Some Return In Spirit?
A few weeks ago, I was sitting in my usual chair, quietly reading a book, when I felt a soft pat on my hand. It did not feel in any way threatening or frightening. I could sense from the softness of the touch sensation, as well as the physical shape that was in my peripheral vision, that this certainly was a female presence. However, I could not decipher who it was at that time.
The next day, I received a message that it had been a visitation from my sister, Theresa, whom had recently passed on. I was so moved and honored that she came to me like this. How sweet and precious that moment was for me!
This experience led me to think about others that I had known in my lifetime. Some I loved deeply, while others I did not always care for as much… despite some of them being extremely prominent in my life.
My brother, Venard, who died a tragic death from drowning at the tender age of 12, had never left any of the remaining siblings for a moment… not until much, much later on in our lives. We all felt he had given us his solemn warmth and devotion, until he felt we were ready, even as middle-aged adults, to finally continue with life on our own.
Delivering Messages From The Afterlife
Is it true that the dearly departed can communicate with us through signs? Can you please give me a message of proof that my much loved friends, family or pets on the other side are okay?
These are some of the questions that psychic mediums receive when a caller longs for proof that the soul journey of their loved ones continues on the other side of the veil. From time to time callers also ask me if I believe in an afterlife. Well, I don’t just believe it exists – I know it does! My strong ‘knowing’ is due to my personal experiences, as well as my professional experiences delivering messages from spirit to others.
My husband is known to have quite the opposite viewpoint. He says, ”When you’re dead, you’re dead.’ I have wondered if he maybe states this as some kind of a self-protection device? Trance, Transfiguration And Channeling

People that know me call me the ‘Happy Medium,’ because I am usually very upbeat when I am bringing through their loved ones. I do feel always so happy to do readings and to share my gifts with those I read for. I love connecting with my clients loved ones on their behalf. It is always uplifting, because it confirms what I know to be true – there is an afterlife.
I got a call from one of my dear clients last week that told me that she was happy to connect with her mother, who came through in a reading after she did what I suggested she do before going to sleep. She was so happy that she told me she was going to do this every night, in order to try an connect also with other loved ones that have crossed over.
Helping my clients tap into their own unique psychic powers is also gratifying. I always let my clients know when I see that they have certain gifts, and how to tap into them and use them in their life.
A Psychic’s Perspective On Suicide
I have had quite a wave of callers in recent months who are extremely concerned over threats their children or loved ones have been making about ending their own lives. No matter what the circumstances may be, such suicidal tendencies must always be taken very seriously and handled with kid gloves. Contacting a psychic should ideally not be the first course of action. There are specialist emergency help lines and dedicated suicide hotlines which do a wonderful job.
Psychics also receive calls sometimes from clients who feel everything in their lives has become futile, and that the world would be better off without them. These types of psychic consultations are among the most challenging that we as advisors ever have to offer. Sometimes it helps just to listen to a distraught soul, and advise them where their true life purpose might lie, but I always suggest that such callers seek the help of a professional counselor or therapist.
The Blessing Of Mediumship
As a medium, there is nothing more rewarding than bringing through a loved one who has passed on to Spirit. It is tremendously fulfilling to be able to deliver messages from another plane and to put someone’s mind at ease here on Earth.
Often, departed loved ones will come through to give a progress report of sorts, so that family or friends will know that they are happy, pain-free and adjusting beautifully to their new surroundings. In addition, they might weigh in on a family dilemma, reassure a friend that the right decision was made or confirm that everything is currently on track for success.
Readings of this nature are a win-win-win for everyone — for the person who has passed on to Spirit, for the person requesting the reading, and also for me.
Over the years, I have received countless confirmations from readings given privately and in the various spiritualist churches. Although I would never take Spirit’s work for granted, because all messages are important for different reasons, there are many that stand out because of the wonderful reactions they caused.
Once, I was attending a potluck supper at one of the churches and, as I was standing in line for the buffet, I felt a tap on my shoulder. As I turned around to see who was there, an older woman said, “Well, here he is!” She pointed to a man standing beside her. A few years before, Spirit had advised that she would be getting remarried and, at her age, she didn’t believe it for a minute. Fast forward a few years and she brought him to the church supper in the hope that I would be there to meet him in person. She was thrilled beyond belief and beamed with pride as she told me the story of where they had met and how their relationship had progressed so beautifully. Continue reading
