When You Hear Things…
My grandson, his wife and their two-year-old boy, as well as their cat and dog, recently all came to live with me for a couple of months, while waiting to move into their new home. Normally my house is exceptionally quiet, so I absolutely enjoyed the noisy hustle and bustle of having a young family under my roof.
Because both parents work, their son goes to day care twice a week. They leave just after 6am in the morning and he is picked up again at 3pm at the end of his mom’s workday. The entire time they stayed with me this schedule never wavered.
Late one morning, just before noon, I was sitting quietly in my chair catching up on some knitting. I was home alone and there was little going on in the house, aside from the regular activity of the cat and dog. It therefore took me by surprise when I suddenly heard a child crying?
The wailing sound briefly came from the kitchen area, where the back door is located. I thought I was imagining things, so went back to knitting. All was quiet for a few minutes, but then the crying started again! Subconsciously, I assumed it must be my granddaughter who was home early with her son, so I expected them to come into the living room soon. But nothing further happened.
Then I heard the crying again. This time it was loud and clear enough that I had to get up and investigate. But there was no one to be found in the kitchen. I looked out the window thinking maybe they might have gone back to the car, except there was nothing in the driveway. I then opened the back door, but there was no one there. I then decided I was either imagining things, or maybe it was the cat or dog I heard.
Working With Ariel, Raziel And Metatron
Archangel Ariel has an ‘Earth Mama’ energy. She feels like freshly tilled soil and smells like the air after it rains. She works with the fairy realm, and I often see her around clients who work in a creative field, especially music.
Archangel Ariel is wonderful to call on if you are working with the Earth, exploring creative projects or need to manifest financial prosperity.

Ariel is also wonderful to work with if you often feel like you were abandoned on this planet without a rule book and struggle to make sense of people and life in general. She can help you understand how to manifest and better flow with the energies of the earthly realm.
Archangel Raziel
Archangel Raziel has a sorcerer or wizard energy. He is sometimes mistaken for an Ascended Master because he has a similar energy. When he appears around a client, I know that they are probably working on remembering how to manifest from Source energy all they need and desire. Raziel helps them to establish a greater connection with the Source.
A Different Approach To Calling On Archangel Michael
Many believers call upon Archangel Michael for spiritual guidance and protection. He is a wonderful protector, emanating a safe and soothing energy and presence.
Recently, he has shown me a technique to better work with him. I have taught it to several of my clients in need of emotional support and inner strength, and it has worked wonders! They have reported feeling lighter, stronger and clearer around issues that had felt blocked and stagnant for years.
The technique is essentially a simple shift in perspective and in our asking. When we are not seeing clearly what we truly need in our lives, it can help to simply ask the angels to help us see the issue differently, as well as how to ask for what we want in a more effective way.
Typically, when asking for clear guidance or protection, we would simply call upon Archangel Michael to ask him for whatever we need or desire. However, he recently revealed to me that we should rather ask to have those personal qualities activated within us that will empower us to manifest the things we need and desire for ourselves.
This approach leads to a personal transformation that increase our self-awareness and self-reliance, and hastens our spiritual growth. For example, instead of calling upon Archangel Michael every morning to be by your side and protect you throughout the day, you should rather ask him to activate the qualities of courage and inner strength within you.
This will create a ripple effect in your life, emanating from your core and altering the world around you. You will feel more empowered and daily life will be a little easier as you assert your newfound authority.
Astrology Forecast August 2 – 8, 2021
This week will produce more talk than action as it kicks off under a socially-oriented Gemini Moon. Sharing ideas, spouting opinions, and a higher than usual volume of Google searches and YouTube watching will the themes for today and tomorrow, as we strive to learn something new or get our ideas confirmed.
The Leo Sun opposition with Saturn in Aquarius may cause professional problems today. If you feel unsure about a work or business decision be careful not to overreact with fake confidence. If you need advice, reach out to your dad or mentor, or a father-figure in you life.
Tomorrow will be a good time to ask someone on a date or reach out to a current love interest, as Venus in Virgo trine Uranus in Taurus will get us in the mood for love and romance.
We’ll be operating in slow motion as the Moon dances through Cancer Wednesday through Friday, where the most we’ll be able to accomplish might be a good house cleaning or redecorating project. We’ll need to focus on balance, as a tendency to people-please or give away something we need may tend to prevail.
So, to use this energy more wisely, it’s a great time to give to yourself and to go with the flow, rather than worrying about what you ‘should be doing,’ or how to get to chores and obligations. There will be plenty of time for that when the Moon moves into Leo on Saturday and revives our energy and focus.
Sunday’s Leo New Moon promises that we’re ready to move into new ventures, projects, and cycles of attainment over the next two weeks, so get ready to rock and roll.
August 2021 Astrology Forecast
August 2021 will be easier to navigate compared to June and July. Fire energy embodies the first half of this month, giving us the motivation and desire to make things happen.
We start the month off with an energetic New Moon in Leo next week on August 8th. New moons represent fresh beginnings and offer wonderful opportunity for manifesting, letting go of bad habits, or starting a new routine.
Leo is associated with the heart and the inner child and gives us the courage to rise above challenging circumstances. If you have been feeling down, or a victim of injustice, this new moon will help you reclaim your power and take a stand, if necessary.
On August 11th the planet of communication, Mercury, will move into Virgo for about 20 days. Our conversations with others will be practical, down to earth, and focused. This will be an optimal time to schedule that appointment with your health, wellness, or energy healing provider to address any concerns you may have.
Venus the planet of love, enters into Libra on August 16th and will assist us in creating a sense of balance in our relationships. If you have been giving too much of yourself, this transit will encourage you to pay attention to your own needs and cultivate a stronger sense self-love.
A Full Moon in Aquarius occurs on August 22nd and brings situations to a culmination. This moon cycle is favorable for removing and releasing anything that doesn’t serve your highest good. Since it’s in the sign of Aquarius, think about your purpose, what makes you unique and how you can help to create a better world.
The Sun transits into Virgo on the same day as the full moon. This earthly energy will help us get grounded, adopt a more logical approach, and set healthier boundaries. Getting organized, tidying up our homes, and paying attention to the details is the best way to work with Virgo.
Lucid Dreaming
When we experience a lucid dream we are aware that we are dreaming. Dreamers also report that when they are having a lucid dream, they seem to be able to control the dream to some extent and they also tend to remember them better. In my experience it is like being half asleep and half awake. One time, I actually got up for a drink of water in the middle of a lucid dream, went back to bed, and continued my dream right where I left off!
For me lucid dreaming feels like being in the state of hypnosis – a ‘light’ state of hypnosis in which you have some control over how the session goes. You are in the dream state, but still aware of things around you. You are in a have heightened state of awareness.
Everyone I have discussed the subject of lucid dreaming with usually say they enjoy the experience. Some even say they wish they could stay is that frame of mind longer. When you lucid dream, write down your experience. Enjoy the movie of your mind.
The term ‘lucid dream’ was coined in 1913 by Dutch psychiatrist Frederik van Eeden in his article A Study of Dreams. It usually happens during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. When we sleep cycle through phases of non-REM and REM. REM sleep happens about an hour to 90 minutes after we fall asleep and this is when we tend to have vivid dreams.
It is estimated that at last 50 percent of adults have experienced at least one lucid dream in their lifetime. I have them all the time. The first lucid dream I can remember was when I was about thirteen years old. I was having a lucid dream of talking to my dad. But unlike our normal waking interactions, this conversation went exactly as I wanted it to go. I asked if he would let me go to New York for three weeks, and he said yes!
Since that time, it became increasingly common for me to slip into the lucid dream state. For me it usually happens in the morning, as I am waking up, but then going halfway back to sleep.
The Who’s Who Of The Spirit Realm
Communicating and working with Spirit can become confusing when you need to discern who exactly it is that you are engaging with. Terms like Spirit Guides, Ascended Masters, Angels, Ancestors, among other, are often used in this context, but the distinction between these entities is not always made clear. It can be very confusing. For this reason, I have compiled a quick guide to the ‘who’s who’ of the spirit realm, and how to best work with each group of spirit energies.
Angels
Angelic beings are pure Love and Light. Angels have never experienced a human incarnation. They serve as our guides and protectors. Angels are our constant guides, steering us on our journey through life and helping us to achieve our dreams and goals.
They gently nudge us forward along our life path and deliver to us unconditional love from the Divine, but only if we ask for their support.They never overstep the Law of Free Will, unless it is a life-threatening situation that demands divine intervention.
You know you are in contact with an Angel if you feel warm ‘tingles,’ and a sense of unconditional love, inner peace and well-being.
Ascended Masters
Unlike Angels, the Ascended Masters are loving teachers. They are guides who have experienced human life on Earth. These beings have achieved self-actualization, enlightenment, or an ascended state of being. They have come into full alignment with their Higher Self.
