The Psychic Sense Of Smell
Did you know that someone who passed on can communicate with us using our sense of smell. I have heard of people smelling cigars and flowers, or even peppermint sticks.
I experienced this phenomenon myself on the Bicentennial weekend of July 4th, 1976. My grandfather who passed years before always smoked those little cigars that had a sweet smell, and when he came over and spend the weekend he would smoke them. And the same with my father; he was also a cigar smoker. I can remember that smell like it was yesterday, but oddly the smell would not have the same flavor as my grandfather’s cigar smoke. The Mystery Of Mom’s Silverware Part II
At the time I was writing the first story about my mom’s silverware, I was trying to figure out what became of it. It cannot simply have disappeared? So, this time I did some research to see if other people also found that heirlooms would go missing that was handed down to them. And after talking to several people I came to the conclusion that for many of them items were also misplaced, or they had forgotten where the item used to be. Now, in my case we are talking about cheap silverware, not an expensive ring or ornament.
Where I live we have lots of farmland, but we also have many counties around us that offer festivals and fairs. Living out in the country it not as boring as one might think. There is one event my wife and I go to every year that has great food and many interesting vendors to browse, where you don’t mind spending money. As we were walking around, I noticed they had opened up an additional street, because the fair was bigger than previous years. Continue reading
The Terminology Of Spiritualism
In the study of Spiritualism, there are many words coined to cover conditions and manifestations out of the ordinary. Following are words and definitions of many of them:
1. Mediumship – The ability of human instruments to attune themselves to the vibrations of the spirit people and through peculiar chemical properties of their physical bodies to produce ectoplasm necessary for the manifestation of physical phenomena.
2. Clairvoyance – Clear seeing; soul seeing; lucidity; the ability to see with the spiritual eye those who have made the change called death and to see their names, messages and symbols written out in the ether. Continue reading
Goodbye My Mentor, Farewell My Friend
My mentor of many years passed away a couple of weeks ago. I hadn’t seen him in a few years and time does tend to move on. Sadly, cancer had taken its ugly toll. He was practically a household name on the West Coast of the USA, and had owned, for many years, indeed until the day he died, a leading chain of psychic stores.
Because it had been a while since I had seen him, the last thing in the world I would ever have expected actually happened. He passed away on a Monday. From the Thursday beforehand I had known something was up. I didn’t know what is was, I only knew to call my former manager and ask, “What in the world is wrong, I can feel it from here!” We were always very close, she and I. But she is a private soul and so she didn’t divulge any information about my mentor, although she was not surprised to hear from me. Continue reading
Two Cards Short Of A Celtic Cross
I’ve written many blogs about psychic issues, spirituality, God, The Goddess, The Universe and so forth. The more answers I get the more questions arise. And I am always learning and being shown new ways, paths and messages. This is one of those messages.
We ask so often, “Why does this happen? What is the answer? Why did he hurt me?” I have at times also asked these questions, because I am human after all. Anything I teach I have learned the lesson myself – very often the hard way! But I have found that for many questions, ultimately, there are few answers. Because the answers we think we want can never truly satisfy us. Why am I bringing this up? Why am I talking about this and what am I even talking about, you may well ask. A Friend Comes For Help
A friend of mine called me on the phone last week and asked if I could come over to her parent’s land, which they have owned for some time. When I walked up the old dirt road, I noticed that everyone was standing around talking. Both my friend and her mom had a funny look on her face -like she had seen a ghost.
She told me that her parents decided to build a house on this piece of land that has been in their family for a long time. I ask them did they know much about the land and my friend told me know that her great grandparents gave her grandparents and they gave it to her parents. To me this land reminded me of something haunted you see on TV back in the old days, where you had the old trees, broken fences and stuff like that. Continue reading
The Synchronicity Of Signs
Signs are everywhere, all around us, all the time. But paying attention to them, and actually knowing what to look for, is another matter entirely.
The most important thing in correctly reading the signs in your life is to become open to them. I don’t mean become open to what you want the particular answer to be.
Asking a Higher Power for signs means you leave your soul open to whatever the Higher Power chooses to show you, not only what you wish to see. You won’t see anything if you keep up that kind of thought process. It defeats Purpose, and Purpose can never be defeated. It is a losing battle if ever there was one. Continue reading
