Growing Up Psychic – Part 1
I was born into a psychic family who lived in a haunted home. I was unaware of this at first and knew nothing about mediumship, clairvoyance or the supernatural. But the quest for answers began at a young age. It was inevitable, since there was a lot of paranormal activity in our house and I had a natural curiosity about all things paranormal.
I didn’t know at the time about being gifted or communicating with ghost or spirits, but I did notice whenever I went over to a friend’s house that I could feel a difference in the energy at his house. It was nothing like what I experienced at my parents’ house. And when I went to both grandparents’ homes I could feel that something was trying to communicate with me there. It was the same in church and at my school. Continue reading
My Experience With Aura Chakra Resonanz Imaging
The first time I had an aura and chakra scan done, I caused quite a bit of bewilderment for the practitioner.
My wife and I went to a psychic convention in downtown Columbus, Ohio, where they had several booths and stalls set-up offering a variety of metaphysical services and products. It is here that I had the opportunity to try out the Aura Chakra Resonanz Imaging system. This computerized system uses biofeedback sensors to capture the emotional and energy states displayed by your chakras and aura. It basically takes a photo of the energetic colors present in your energy field. Continue reading
The Secret To Smudging Is In The Smoke
“The secret to smudging is in the smoke.” These were the words of my mentor when I undertook my Ukuthwasa as a shaman initiate many years ago in Southern Africa. I have also come to know that the true intention behind any smudging ceremony is a very significant part of its success.
An initial part of my rigorous training as a Sangoma, or traditional healer, was a self-cleansing ritual using Mphepo, made up of herbs indigenous to Southern Africa.
“Smudging,” simply put, is the burning of certain herbs to create a cleansing smoke bath. The smoke is used to cleanse areas used for rituals and ceremonies, as well as any tools or objects used for such cleansing, as well as to cleanse people. Continue reading
Difference Between ‘Psychic’ and ‘Intuitive’
Although the difference is subtle, there is a fundamental difference between being ‘psychic’ as opposed to being ‘intuitive’.
The term ‘psychic’ refers to having a special sensory system, better known as a psychic sensory system or chakratic sensory system. This sensory ability enables you to ‘get’ or ‘perceive’ information. Much information can be derived through psychic perception.
Unfortunately, the shadow-side of having such a psychic sensory system is your potential entanglement with unwanted energy. ‘Getting’ information automatically implies that the source is outside yourself, and you are thus vulnerable to taking on what is not yours. You may also be exposed to out of balance power distortions. Continue reading
Protect Yourself From Toxic People
I want you to know that you’re not the only one who may have people in your life draining you, and making you feel downright guilty and sick. This is what I call toxic love. Why do we stay with these people, or why do we continue to allow these people into our space and environment?
I’m sure you know why we allow some of them…we have no choice! They are is family, sometimes our friends and distant relatives, and sadly often times our life partners and spouses. Being a very empathic person myself, I am very sensitive to the energies around me. I know what it is like to be surrounded by energy thieves. Continue reading
Mudras – Part 1
In Kundalini Yoga, an ancient spiritual healing science, the fingers have deep spiritual meaning that coordinates with Astrology, emotions, body, mind and soul. We use the fingers to create mudras which trigger certain parts of the brain. Mudra is Sanskrit for “mark”, “seal”, or “gesture”. They are 10,000 year old hand gestures that help to heal and empower us.
Mudras can be found everywhere in daily life. Hand gestures are a part of every culture. Just like the spoken and written word, they can be used for positive or negative. Sign language, for example, is a form of mudras. The military uses hand gestures as a symbol of respect. Continue reading
