We are able to draw from their gifts and powers to help us on our path and during the most difficult times in our lives. All of the archangels are healers. They come as master surgeons to repair our bodies, and to help us tap into our higher selves. They are reminders that we are never alone.

What is your word or theme for this year? I started doing this about ten years ago and absolutely love this practice, because it creates the outcomes around the energy for your word or theme. It’s also about where you want to put your mental focus for the rest of this year. Think of your word or theme as your loving helper or personal assistant to bring awareness to where, what and who you are putting focus on.

Most people who set New Year’s resolutions don’t keep them. Each year we tell ourselves that it’s time to move on, to change, and to leave negative people and influences in the past, and yet we seldom stick to our resolve. Is it possible to finally let go of things that hold us back? Yes, it is!
The first step we can take is to be fully honest about what is holding us back, and why it’s so difficult to let go. This is best done with the help of a mentor, such as a counselor or trusted friend, who will listen objectively. Until we have a true understanding of all our ‘baggage’ and our own part in it, it will never go away.
Self-forgiveness is so essential in today’s modern world. With the festive season fast approaching, however, forgiving oneself is more important than ever, so we can enjoy our time to the full and not let guilt, self-punishment and blame get in the way.
As human beings we have all glanced at our calendars and cringed at the fact that we have overlooked a loved one’s birthday, or not spent as much quality time with our family as we intended. Courage is a choice. It is available to all of us, not just a select few. Courage begins with the desire to want something different in your life, something more. Courage often comes when we get tired of being beaten down and are ready to rise up and claim the powerful being that you are.
In every moment you have the right, the power, the choice to be courageous, or weak. Sometimes courage is not bold, or loud, or executable. Sometimes courage is quiet, and graceful, and still. Courage is not always the bull in the China shop, but the mouse in the corner watching and waiting. Courage comes in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it’s a word, a look, or the way you hold yourself. Sometimes it is the unspoken words, or the action left undone. It is easy to let ego overpower you and run rampant with your words and actions. We have more power over our lives than we realize and it all begins with our thoughts. Through our thoughts we can either build ourselves up or tear ourselves down. Which are you doing?
Really take the time to pay attention to how you are treating yourself. What thoughts are popping into your head in regards to how you look, how you talk, how you act? Are you constantly putting yourself down and chastising yourself for what comes out of your mouth, or how you look in the mirror? If so, stop.
You wouldn’t treat a stranger that way, why would you treat yourself like that? From this moment on make a purposeful decision to be kind and loving to yourself, and if that’s too much of a stretch for you, just simply stop criticizing yourself.

For many years the phenomenon of out-of-body experiences (OBE) has intrigued doctors, scientists, scholars, theorists and spiritualists.
