The Universal Language Of The Other Side
I have come across varying opinions, and even read a couple of books, claiming that a certain ‘language is spoken’ on the Other Side. But I have had a very different experience doing mediumship readings. In my experience there is no actual ‘language’ that is used for communication in the spirit realm. Instead, I experience it as what is best described as telepathic knowing.
In my work with spirit I have not personally encountered any sign of spoken language. In the spirit realm there is no attachment to language, dialect, culture, ethnicity, or nationality. Those aspects of human identity are an earthly concept.
On the Other Side, we communicate telepathically and empathically through pure consciousness, which in human terms translates to feelings, thoughts, sensory perceptions and mental imagery.
The souls we communicate with can read our mind. They know, for example, if you love music. So, they will communicate with you in songs, knowing it will reach your awareness more easily.
Often, in medium readings, I will smell a certain smell like, roses, pumpkin pie, and so on. The soul I am communicating with knows I am a vegetarian, so they always polite have me smell food that would not be offensive to me.
I smelled lemon once, and was shown lemonade. My client told me her grandmother was known for her lemon orchard and the lemonade she used to make. It was a special memory from her childhood.
Psychic Readings And Your Divine Life Purpose
I have found from many years of doing psychic readings an interesting commonality that ties all types of readings together. Whether someone is struggling with relationship problems, work and money issues, health challenges, or other difficult situations, once I get the answers to help resolve a current issue, there is always a deeper, spiritual message that is being offered to my clients.
I realized that once we get to the core of what is causing someone’s problem, or whatever initially brought them to me for a reading, within that core or root issue there is a doorway leading to my client’s gifts and life purpose.
At first, I wondered how this was possible, that each reading led us to the same place, but then one day it ‘clicked’ for me. It occurred to me that we are all here as equals and that we are all souls that came to earth in a physical body with our unique talents and a desire to grow spiritually.
Things that come up for us in this life, to challenge us, or people who we meet that serve the role of antagonist, are actually helping to liberate us in ways that may not make sense during times of strife or suffering.
Dr Michael Newton, hypnotherapist and author of the book Journey of Souls, writes about the time we are in spirit, in-between lifetimes, and that we all have a ‘soul pod’ we belong to. In that soul pod are other souls who are people that we travel with, through lifetime to lifetime.
Some of these souls we recognize the moment we meet them in human form. We typically have a strong attraction to them. They can be supporters and very loving family members, friends, or lovers, but they also show up as antagonists or enemies to trip us up, but help us grow.
You And Your Spirit Guides
We are all surrounded by spirit guides and angels. These otherworldly beings have been with us since birth, and it is their mission to protect and guide us. But who are they, exactly?
Depending on your primary energy (feminine, masculine, or non-binary) your guides will likely have similar forms of energies. These guides are loved ones and friends who have passed on and are awaiting rebirth. They may even have been animals or one of your pets in their former life.
Most of us have a main guide, plus others who play a secondary role. Some may be around us for our entire life, while others are temporary, or stay only for a specific purpose or to teach a specific lessons, or point the way to a specific destination or solution. The one thing all of them have in common is unconditional love and acceptance – the kind of caring that we often seek among the living, but only rarely find.
Guides are around us all the time, whether we are aware of them or not. They know us better than we know ourselves, and they are able to anticipate what we need.
How do we know they are there? For the most part, they are invisible to us, but can be sensed in other ways. Sudden flashes of inspiration, a favorite song playing when we turn on the radio, the feeling of a hand on your shoulder. Those are all a sure signs a spirit guide or guardian angel is speaking to you.
So, is it possible to communicate with these invisible spirit beings? Of course! Each time we pray or meditate, we are speaking to them. Silently asking for help will call them to our aid. Even if we engage in something meaningful to us, like our hobby or a creative pursuit, there is a dialogue with spirit guides, since they are the source of all inspiration. For some people, journaling, especially of their dreams, is a good way to listen to what their guides are communicating.
We Are All Worthy Of Forgiveness
Sometimes my brokenhearted clients ask when the person they love will also hurt the way they have been hurt by them. They have been wounded, sometimes very deeply, and they so desperately want to know that the one who hurt them will also suffer in the end. Preferably, a lot!
They desire retribution for all the pain, suffering and deceit they have suffered due this person. There has to be some kind of justice. Isn’t there some form of karma, they will ask pleadingly.
Some spiritual teachings and belief systems suggest that our most emotionally challenging experiences in this lifetime occur as a result of life lessons we have agreed upon with other souls, before being born into this particular lifetime. This concept is known as our life plan, soul agreement or soul contract, among other.
These challenges can present themselves as blockages and patterns, that we aspire to finally recognize on a soul level and then to rise above – too often after repeating the same lessons many times over during this lifetime and others.
Yes, it makes sense to me that there is a profound lesson in harsh, life-changing experiences, but it’s not so easy to see it that way, and to believe it could be something we would have agreed to, especially when we hurt so badly now.
My Favorite Psychic Movies
Due to the nature of my work, I obviously love watching movies about psychics and the paranormal. Although there aren’t a lot of really good psychic movies out there, I do have a few firm favorites. Next time you are looking for an inspiring movie about psychic phenomena or the supernatural, see if you can find one of the following psychic classics on your favorite streaming service.
The Dead Zone (1983)
Based on a Stephen King novel, this movie follows the life of a school teacher who awakens with psychic powers, after falling into a coma. The film stars Christopher Walken as a reluctant psychic, who hesitates to use his powers, which I think is common for many psychics when we first discover our abilities. Once he finally decides to use his gifts, amazing things start to happen!
Ghost (1990)
Many people are familiar with this film. It was one of the most financially successful films of the 90’s. Personally, I love it so much that I could just watch it over and over again! The all-star cast features Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg as a highly eccentric psychic. Romantic, funny and uplifting, this is one of my favorite movies about a reluctant psychic medium who is able to connect with spirit on the Other Side.
‘Space Clearing’ Is Actually Rescue Work
In my earlier days of doing psychic mediumship work, I used to get many requests from homeowners and businesses, requesting that I do a space clearing in their premises. Typically, these clients would complain about strange things happening onsite and disturbances by unwanted spirits, which negatively impacted their daily activities or lifestyle. Some people would refer to this work using terms like ‘ghosthunting,’ but prefer to call it ‘rescue’ work.
When someone passes, they can either go to the Light, back to the realm of Spirit, or they can remain in the Earth plane dimension. Sometimes a person dies suddenly, from a murder, for instance, or in a robbery or some other controversial way where they were somehow wronged. Their spirit may then choose to remain here, in some attempt to claim justice. They may also choose to remain here because they don’t feel a sense of completeness with this life. Or sometimes they are simply just confused.
‘Clearing out’ the spirits disturbing the occupants of a home or business premises, has taught me the most about death, and what really happens when we die and leave our physical body. For instance, one time I was clearing a pretty large antique furniture store. As I made my way through the shop, I asked the owner who Norma was? She was sitting in one of the antique rocking chairs in the front corner, and she was scaring people away.
Purple Love From The Other Side
Recently, I was in my kitchen cooking, when the song Purple Rain, by Prince, kept playing in my head. It was stuck in my mind, loud and clear, the verses of the song, over and over again throughout the day. I didn’t think much of it at the time, other than I must have recently heard the song playing somewhere.
The next morning while I was meditating, I was shown a shape by Spirit. At first I couldn’t make out what it was, but then the vision became more clear. I sensed it must had to be the shape of a state in the United States, but I was not sure which one. After my meditation, I searched for the sate on the map and discovered it was Minnesota.
Later that day, I once again kept hearing a Prince song in my head. This time it was Paisley Park. That night I had a dream about an oddly shaped electric guitar, which I didn’t understand. I also heard the name “Roger.”
Every day, for a whole week, I was receiving these clues, like a puzzle to solve. Each one somehow related back the musical artist Prince.
That night my daughter sent ‘coincidentally’ sent me the link to a YouTube video of Prince performing Purple Rain. She just said it was one of her favorites and wanted to share it with me. It was uncanny, because I hadn’t told her a thing about what had been happening with me lately.
I have to admit, until the time of these events, I knew very little about Prince’s music, and absolutely nothing about his personal life. I used to hear his songs being played on the radio in the 80s and 90s, and I did enjoy them, but I never knew much about him as a person and an artist. Continue reading
