The first weeks of a new year is always a happy occasion for me. A new year to me has a refreshing feel, as though everything that happened last year can be placed in a box and forgotten, even tossed out with the trash if I like, while the time ahead is still enticingly waiting for me to fill with new plans.
We make resolutions, and say, “Out with old, and in with the new.” Because of this a new year has a healing effect on us, helping us to put the past behind us and change ourselves to create a better future.
When re-creating ourselves, it helps to know what lies ahead. If we can glimpse future events, we can avert problems and embrace the good that is coming to us. We would also understand our limitations and strengths more, so we can plan effectively. Read the rest of this entry »
About 10 years ago, a friend of mine went to see a psychic in Cuba. It was a completely spontaneous decision made on the spot. She walked into the dusty old store and sat down. The old woman who was doing the reading handed her an old deck of Tarot cards. They were so worn that the figures on the cards were unrecognizable.
The old woman handed her the deck and said in broken English, “Hold them to your heart and place them face down when you are done.” My friend did as she was instructed.
The old lady studied the Tarot spread for a moment and said, “Heartache is making your body sick… broken….from a man that couldn’t love you. He had the broken disease and he gave it to you.” She closed her eyes and shook her head not looking up, “He left you for another.” Shaking her crooked finger back and forth she pointed at my friend, paused, and with piercing black eyes firmly said, “Leave it behind you and you will heal. Keep it in your heart and it will kill you.” Read the rest of this entry »
If you are wanting to develop your psychic abilities, making time to practice, and developing your own set of psychic symbols, are key to seeing results. At some point, if you’re consistent, you will start seeing evidence that you are opening up psychically. One of the first things that showed up for me was that I started to have vivid dreams at night that seemed to come true.
I have always kept a dream journal and have always been interested in my dreams. I read a lot of books on dream interpretation and analysis and have always thought that my dreams were trying to tell me something. But when my dreams started playing out in real life, I was quite amazed. And this may be the first area where you can get very clear, concise messages from your intuition – from your dreams. I started working with the Tarot when I was 14 years old. I read the metaphysical books of the time and wanted to explore my budding intuition. One afternoon at a bookstore, I was drawn to the Rider-Waite Tarot deck – I felt an instant pull to it in particular!
I wasn’t going to the bookstore that day to buy Tarot cards, but once I did I couldn’t put the mysterious deck of cards out of my mind. Once opened, I studied the deck for weeks on end, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I soon read the cards for others.
The first time I was doing a card spread for myself, my mother walked into my bedroom and told me that my great grandmother also read the cards, as well as tea leaves. It was if she wasn’t surprised her daughter would be interested in reading the cards, yet she didn’t encourage me either. Read the rest of this entry »
I believe cats, like many animals, have special gifts. They are mystical creatures that share a special world. Unlike other animals, I think somehow they are aware they have these gifts and share special secrets with each other, within a mystical and magical life.
Animals send us messages of healing and caring if we are intuitive and open to receiving them. Cats can be instrumental in helping us find peace when we are troubled or upset.
When I am doing a psychic reading, one of my cats, Paddy, always insists on being near me. On calls, when the caller is particularly troubled, Paddy begins to meow and almost takes over the reading. On one occasion I had to gently guide him out of the room. It is almost like he is trying to use his psychic and intuitive abilities, and I am merely his channel. I feel grounded when he is around me; it is like he knows the person calling needs guidance and support. Read the rest of this entry »
When preparing for a psychic consultation, make sure you read the adviser’s profile, reviews and testimonials, especially if you have never read with the psychic before. This way you can get a general sense of client satisfaction, accuracy, and their style of delivery. Use your intuition when picking a psychic adviser. This is extremely important!
If the psychic has a lot of positive feedback, but one or two bad comments, don’t allow yourself not to read with the psychic. Nobody’s perfect and we do not always have a good connection with everyone. Read the rest of this entry »
One way is through an intimate relationship with another person, on a very personal level. The person in your life that you connect with physically, can allow you to deepen your senses and develop your senses and sensuality. Love and passion are great for the soul, the body, and developing and expanding your intuition.
You can also deepen your intuition through a psychic circle. Psychic circles, sometimes called development circles, are a group that meets to support, encourage and to help each other develop intuitively and psychically. It is a great opportunity to connect with other like-minded sensitive people. If you are not sure if there is a group in your area, you could always start one. Read the rest of this entry »
