The African River Man
During the time of my ukuthwasa (period of initiation to become a traditional healer or sangoma) some decades ago in Southern Africa, my mentor and some other village elders would join our group of ithwasa (sangoma trainees) by the campfire and discuss other spirits. That is, others in addition to those of our ancestors.
We heard many tales of other spirits who control the rivers, oceans and lakes, as well as those who live in the sky and control the rain. There were also stories told of sacred places where spirits inhabited mountains, trees and rocks. Traits Of Your Pisces Child
A child born February 19th to March 20th is a Pisces. They are daydreamers. This helps them become the actors, writers, poets and innovators of the world. It is good to help your child balance this by helping them to stay in reality and remain grounded.
Pisces children are extremely intuitive, often psychic. Teach your Piscean to trust their intuition, but also to filter what they tell others. Not all visions should be shared.
They also tend to be empaths. Like most empaths, they may feel tired, sad or overwhelmed and may not know why. They may have been picking up others emotions. Teaching coping methods for these times is essential. We don’t want our Pisces children not to be empathic, as that is all of our natural state, but we don’t want them to be energy sponges, carrying around other people’s trauma. Most Feng Shui masters say that clogged sinks and shower drains, as well as plugged up toilets, stagnate energy and block prosperity, abundance and wealth. They deplete finances.
Stagnant water creates mildew, which has been known to cause respiratory problems, neurological problems and can weaken the immune system. Past Lives With Dolphins
Whilst clearing out some papers yesterday, I came across a magazine containing an fascinating article on dolphins, which literally jumped out at me. I had only just been thinking about my framed dolphin pictures, dolphin ornaments, and other dolphin memorabilia – all packed away until we get a bigger home, there isn’t anywhere to display them.
According to the magazine article dolphins were worshiped in ancient Greece. The temple at Delphi was actually dedicated to a Dolphin God. Recently we have been rediscovering that dolphins are sentient souls with large, evolved brains. Although they cannot speak as such, they really do communicate. Continue reading
The Wisdom Of Real Food
My relationship with food evolved the day I decided to start my own garden. I didn’t have much space where I lived, so I rented a plot in a community garden nearby, for a very small fee.
Although it soon became a part-time job, it also turned into my sanctuary. Any stress from the day cleared when I went there. I was always eager to go there and visit my growing family of fruits, herbs, flowers and vegetables. It made me feel like a child again!
Connecting with the Earth on such a deep level also gave me a new perspective on my spiritual identity. From being inspired by fellow gardeners to teaching my son important life skills, I was motivated to get serious about treating my body like a temple and also raising awareness in others. Create Your Own Energy Cleansing Spray
Remember the last time you changed out a dirty air filter from your air-conditioning unit, vacuum cleaner, or your car? Remember how clogged with dust it was? In our living spaces, negative energies accumulate over time just like those ‘dust bunnies.’ Even though we can’t see these energies, there is a way to clear them on a regular basis. Think of it as the spiritual version of house cleaning.
The first and most obvious step to take is to physically clean your space. Clutter and unwanted items work as repositories for negative energy, so it’s important to get rid of it. After you’re done, imagine the space being deep-cleaned with an indigo or violet-colored flame. Simple Scrying
Clients who visit me for private sittings often appear to be fascinated by my crystal ball, which always sits on a stand to the left of me as I work. With the help of my lovely crystal ball and a selection of divination cards, including the Tarot, I get assistance from spirit and my Ancestors in the form of symbols and letters.
