The Fundamentals Of Psychic Development
I just finished teaching an intensive psychic development course called Discovering Your Intuitive and Mediumistic Abilities. All the material that was discussed, and the questions from my students, are still fresh in my mind. So, I felt it is a good time to write about it today.
Firstly, it has been my experience that there isn’t just one kind of person interested in psychic subject matter. My students over the years have included professionals, trades people, retired seniors, students, and stay-at-home moms. I have had a heart surgeon, a nurse, restaurant servers, hairstylists and even a workman who does dry walling, as students in my classes.
It is my belief that everyone is psychic and can learn to read energy and communicate with spirit in some way. Some of my students will go on to become professional psychics, mediums, intuitives, or energy workers. Others take the class merely for their own spiritual growth or personal development. About 90% of my students are empaths, or care-givers who work with the public in some way.
Reading The Akashic Records
The Hall of Records, also known as the Akashic Records, is like a spiritual library that exists beyond time and space. It is here that I will go to get information on all that has been, all that is, and all that will be.
My clients often give wonderful feedback on the Akashic readings I have done for them, as it helps them to better see and understand the wisdom behind their suffering, as well as the different challenges they may be facing. Whether it be worry, fear, anxiety, depression, trust issues, weight problems, whatever it may be, it is made clear and then they are able to see what they need to do, or stop doing, to help remedy that area of their life.

Processing Deep Emotions In Your Dreams
Disturbing, chaotic dreams or nightmares involving terror, violence or intense frustration can be extremely disturbing for the dreamer. When these dreams come around, it is not unusual to find yourself suddenly waking in the middle of the night, sitting bolt upright, shaken, and in a pool of perspiration. Some of my clients’ dreams are so hectic, they even ask me if they are possessed, or being punished!
Dream interpretation psychic readings may reveal that such a nightmare reflects a traumatic occurrence from the client’s past, which they fear may occur again. Constant fear of history repeating itself may be invading their thoughts. When we are emotionally and mentally in a place of darkness, our every thought tends to become distorted by fear.
My clients usually hope to find some enlightenment as to what their hectic dreams can possibly mean, and I do my best to interpret their nightmares the best way I know how. It can be most helpful when a psychic exposes the root cause of a frantic dream.

How To Get More From A Psychic Reading
There are several ways you can ensure to get the most from a spiritual reading session with a psychic or medium. Firstly, proper etiquette is important. Show respect for Spirit by being prepared for your reading. Have your questions ready. Clear your mind. Focus on what is being said and what you can learn. If you are not sure of the context, ask for clarity.
There are also things you should refrain from doing during an online or phone psychic reading. Do not pour drinks, go to the bathroom, turn on the TV, or let the dog out during your reading. You would not do those things if you were in person at the psychic’s office. Get those things out of the way before you call. Although people sometimes think they are fully engaged while doing additional tasks, they often miss the point altogether, or attach a completely different interpretation to what Spirit is saying.
Furthermore, you can get much more from a reading session by allowing time afterwards to sit for a moment, and reflect. Think of additional examples where the information and learning can be applied. If something is true for a work situation, it might also be very relevant to your personal life. Postcards From Spirit
Spirit messages often remind me of old-fashioned postcards and modern day text messages. As a child I loved receiving postcards from family and friends all over the world. Postcards were a way to see other places and how other people lived, before the era of texting and social media. Postcards were a way to send short messages just to say I’m thinking of you, similar to the way my grandchildren these days send each other short text messages… while they are in the same room!
Postcards and text messages have another similarity. Sometimes the messages are abbreviated and the person reading the message may not always understand exactly what the sender was really trying to say. And as it is sometimes necessary with postcards and texting, spirit messages often also require us to ‘connect the dots’ or read between the lines.
People may read or hear the same message, yet get several different meanings of what the sender was saying. This is one reason a person can have readings with several different psychics, mediums and diviners, and come away from them very confused, because the readers interpret messages differently. A Second Opinion From Spirit
Everyone who has psychic gifts to see, hear and feel knows better than to give medical advice. It is usually not a good idea for many reasons. However if we receive information from Spirit and we decide it wise to share it with our clients, with the idea that they will further consult their primary care physician, health care professional or someone who is medically trained, this can be at times be very beneficial.
Here is a recent example of how this can be helpful. A good friend who I see and read for regularly, asked me to take a look at her daughter who has been extremely ill. Apparently her daughter had seen a doctor. However, being an intuitive herself, she felt that she was unsure if she was given the proper diagnosis and asked if I felt she would be healed soon, as she doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Psychic Prediction – Free Will, Fate Or Divine Destiny?
Psychic reading is often assumed to be synonymous with fortune-telling, and while they may seem similar on the surface they are in fact two very different practices. Psychic reading is a spiritual practice… a sacred portal to manifesting your true destiny. Fortune-telling, on the other hand, is a fallacy and potentially dangerous and destructive.
Yes, fortune-telling is a myth. Nobody can ‘tell your fortune’ for the simple reason that you don’t actually have a ‘fortune.’ Your fortune is something you create every day through your beliefs, thoughts, choices, decisions and actions. You are a spiritual being continuously seeking physical expression in your current incarnation. And therefore you are the creator of your own reality experience, and the designer of your own destiny.
