Depression And Being Idle
I recently did a psychic reading for a dear client here in my local area. Her question to me was, “Why am I so depressed? Lately I have had time off from work, I really haven’t been doing very much, but I am feeling depressed and tired.” She went on to ask me what might be causing this depression and what she could do to prevent it.
I am clairaudient and instantly heard the word, “Idleness.” It came to me loud and clear, and I shared this with her. She paused for a moment and said, “You know, I think you may be right! I am usually more depressed when I get my two weeks vacation and I have nothing planned. I don’t enjoy my usual hobbies and I just end up laying around and over-thinking!”
Apparently, when she has too much free time, she starts to worry about things in her life that does not usually bother her. She even has a sudden fear of dying when she isn’t being productive!

Spirit’s message to her was quite simple. She needs to reconnect with the productive activities she enjoys. She needs to take that class she has been wanting to. I then asked her about that and she confirmed that there was indeed a course she had been wanting to take, which deals with growing your own organic herbs and vegetables.
Spirit also shared that she need not worry about her career, future and family, as they are protected. She confirmed that these were all things she worried about. The final message from Spirit was from her Mother, it was a personal message that I cannot share, but it meant everything to her and it helped her fear of dying.
She was very happy with the reading and told me that she would no longer be idle, even when she is sick. She will keep her mind and hands busy, as that is obviously the hot ticket for keeping the depression away.
Some people who suffer from depression are often at a place in their lives where they are not doing anything to keep themselves busy constructively. I feel there to be personal truth for myself what Spirit shared. There is definitely, in my opinion, a connection between idleness and depression. Sometimes it is chemical, and sometimes it is triggered by trauma or stress, to be sure, but sometimes it simply starts with idleness.
